Bear Claw Saloon

Automatic 5 stars. Felt like family within 5 minutes of walking in. Rachel the bartender was so nice and working hard, so was Scott. Ton of locals and folks that have been going for decades, like Rick who chatted me up and we became friends while playing pool one handedOne of my favorite saloons in SoCal, just overall fantastic vibe. One of the locals bought 4 pizzas and left, just doing that so everyone could eat. Like who does that? Thanks for making my first time a blast in Crestline

I really liked this bar, even though we were visiting from out of town, we were treated with the same respect as the locals. So much so that we came multiple times during our stay. Prices were fair, bartenders were friendly, and they had karaoke one of the evenings which offered some fun entertainment. Locals were an eclectic mix of friendly folk. Definitely plan on returning.

Fun place!! If you want to meet some genuine local people from this town, Bear Claw Saloon (fondly known as "the Claw" by some of my friends here) is the place to be! It's a place that reminds me of Cheers - for those who are old enough to remember that show.... "Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name...". I love the small town bar vibe here. And the bartender was super attentive and friendly. Sorry no picture (yet)... was too busy having fun getting to know the folks here. But do check them out if you're in Crestline or happen to visit Lake Gregory. It's a fun place!

what a rootin tootin bar. The drinks are so cheap I thought I was dreaming. Everyone was extremely kind especially the bar owners. For such a tiny place, the energy felt large! Lots of dancing and great live music. Cute decorations. They told me if you're drunk enough the moose on the wall starts speaking to you. I guess next time I'll have to drink more because I never got him to talk. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Heck yeah! Rachel made us bomb espresso martinis and all the locals were friendly. Also, I got to pet dogs!!!

We as a band have played this awesome friendly establishment on more than one occasion, We love it there and as always look forward to coming back, The Manager knows how to run a bar and she's always been accommodating to us, if you get a chance to go, definitely go you will have a blast, they usually always have something going on and bands every Saturday night!

My sister and I were up at Crestline celebrating our father for a few days. A friend of mine recommended another place down the road, but we were not well-received and ended up leaving. We ended up here at the Bear Claw, and sat down to a good time. A local bought us a fruity shot of some kind (thank you Scott!!)....Dawn, the bartender, was as cool as all get out. We had a great time and felt like we were part of the crew. It made me remember the days of when all of us friends would gather at the local watering hole every Friday night (and other nights when basketball was on!), and play pool. I almost felt like shouting NORM when one guy walked in the door! HA! Well done, Bear Claw, well done.

This bar is definitely the most middle of middle ground standard for a bar. You won't find any food here, so be prepared to eat before or after you come. There's 1 pool table that some people get territorial over because this bar is apparently where "the regulars crawl around" (not my words, a bartender's). They have live karaoke on the weekends (?) which is cool if you want to be around older generations singing oldies. They're pretty funny since they're all drunk so it's good entertainment. Beware, this place has a LOT of drama. The staff will gladly talk about other people to you, even other staff of other restaurants/bars in the area. The regulars are incredibly territorial over the place and they will side-eye you all night, it makes a really hostile environment especially if you just want to play pool. The staff itself here is alright but they're all "experienced" so if you want a drink remade you might get an attitude. Mario is super sweet and an excellent bartender, so if you can, ask for him.Oh, and ladies.... Come with a male companion. This bar is hunting grounds for the locals.

Gretchen is the best bartender in Crestline! Most affordable drinks in town! The karaoke is always a good time. The regulars are welcoming to tourist and locals alike if you behave with respect it's the perfect place to let loose! I love ending nights at the bearclaw because they never close early!
