Barnacles Sports Bar

We were super pleased with our nice afternoon at Barnacles! We felt like grabbing some lunch and playing pool, and this place was on the list. It's tucked away in the same parking lot as an A&W (y'know...the rootbeer place). They have a pleasant outdoor patio and cool decorations. Parking seems pretty abundant. Inside is carpeted and comfy. The bartender was friendly and inviting. They have a few games besides pool - darts, a neat golf arcade game. The food was especially good, I usually have low expectations for bar food but the pretzels and beer cheese were SOOOO good and we got a turkey club which was their Saturday special. On the menu are burgers, sandwiches, grilled cheese, and more - along with tasty appetizers ranging from cheese curds to fried ravioli. I noticed the bar also had some candy and chips behind it. Their homemade potato chips are to die for. There's a wide variety of drinks and beer on tap. The pool table was great too (cash only to play). There is also an ATM inside. We felt comfortable, had fun, and look forward to coming back!

The food and service was OUTSTANDING. The owner is super nice and her manager is one of the best in the business. Definitely will be back.

My wife and I stopped by Barnacles for the first time in many years. We came for Happy Hour and weren't disappointed!Heather, our bar tender, warmly greeted us as we entered. We were served immediately and had fantastic service throughout our visit. The fresh made popcorn is a MUST! It's served with freshly drawn butter on the side-to die for. We had the pleasure of meeting Taffy, the owner. She was just as kind and friendly as Heather. This place has the feel of a great neighborhood bar. Everyone knew each other and there was a positive vibe. 5 stars isn't enough for this place.

A friend kept telling me that I needed to stop in to have a "Mexican Candy" drink, so today, I did just that. I wasn't disappointed. My drink was delicious. I also tried some fried pickles and I wasn't disappointed. This place is what a person would call a "dive" bar. Perhaps 'cause it looks like a drinking den. Inside the bar is rather small to me, yet it looks bigger from the outside. They offer great snacks, drinks and provide a friendly atmosphere here. What seems to be a local favorite neighborhood bar, residents seem gather here to drink and socialize. Outside patio makes an alternative option for socializing here which is nice.Upkeep around the bar and it's perimeter looks well maintained. Parking is easy and there's plenty of it. Bathrooms were well stocked and well maintained.

Fun little place with out door patio. They have bands and karaoke. Food is good enough. Drinks are good. I will go back!

Come to Barnacles! Awesome prices on drinks and food! They hook it up! Saturday Special is BLT! Great atmosphere! This place is great!

Been coming to barnacles for several years now and it's hands down my favorite spot !Best bartender is Alyssa!Foods great, people are great, and the environment is second to none! Love the the barnacles family !!!

Alyssa helped me out today and was such a great bartender. She was very welcoming, inviting and very friendly. Kelsey was also very friendly tooI ordered a BLT and it was so good with their Homemade chips!!! Definitely coming back to good ol Mentone Beach!

Terrible service, only in that they didn't want to serve me because I didn't have my physical Drivers License, even though I had a picture of it, AND alternate forms of ID on me. I was here from another country vacationing in Big Bear. Anyway, we ended up eating at Freckles Kitchen & Tavern, great service there.

This was a good local spot until they recently raised their prices. $8.00 - $12.00 for a shot. Not worth the LA bougie prices
