Arteaga's Mexican Food

Great Mexican spot! Not too hard to miss from the street. Street parking or small lot behind the eatery. It's small but plenty of tables to eat inside without feeling on to top people. There is outdoor seating as well, which we opted for because it was a nice day out. I ordered the Chile Relleno combo plate. Comes with two chile rellenos and rice & beans. I ordered a large Fruit Punch agua fresca. My husband ordered the Carne Asada Torta and fries, with a beer. His torta was great. The meat was top notch. It was a large sandwich so he took about half of it home. My chile rellenos were delicious! Some of the best tasting chiles I've had. Everything is made in house. You can tell from the beans and rice. The fruit punch, which is an agua fresca I have not come across in any other restaurant, was freaking amazing!!! It was a great meal, the young ladies who helped us were lovely, the place was nice to enjoy your food there. If you don't have time to eat there I did notice they do a lot of pickup/to-go orders. A MUST TRY!

One of the best pozoles I've ever tasted in a long time. It was recommended by someone else and I'm glad I tried it it was nice and fresh and tasted so good the meat was so tender and they gave an even amount of meat

Solid burrito spot. Came here to pickup lunch and the burrito sizes are very generous.

If you are trying to find a place to grab food on your lunch break and it be quick DO NOT COME HERE... From the time i ordered to the time i got my food was 45 mins... this is place blew my mind people who order way after me got served within 10 mins of ordering. My order was a breakfast burrito and a plain quesadilla... what a waste of my lunch break

Service is quick and friendly. Ambiance needs to be improved as tables are a bit dingy and the place a bit reorganized, but portions are decent size and made food made to order.

The food was good great tasing carne asada, good portion of carne asada fries and the pineapple aguas was the best. Cool classic old school spot just past downtown Yucaipa. Great service will be back ... ohhhh and the salsa yes!!! The salsa is amazing.

Came here at the recommendation of my dad when we were in town running errands. From the moment I walked inside, the no frills/ minimalistic vibes gave me a good first impression. My dad and I both ordered a breakfast burrito (one with bacon, the other sausage) and I got a Horchata. After paying we were given a plate ofchips and salsa; chips were fresh and salsa was flavorful/ on the mild side. It almost seemed like they forgot about our order cause we noticed parties who came after us get served before we got our food. Eventually we had to ask one of the ladies running our food if she could check on our order. The portion size was massive but both burritos tasted the same, as if there wasn't a difference in protein (we think both burritos had sausage and bacon). While amassive burrito, it wasn't memorable to me. Since the burrito was only decent, I'd rather search for another Mexican dive type spot before going back, especially considering the pricey total.

Little jewel around my job. Delicious food, great folks work there. Cozy. I love their soups! I have tried their tacos, burritos too. Yummy flavor.

Tiny hole in the wall with the best food!!!! Worth going to Yucaipa for authentic Mexican food!!

Ya gotta go! We took our kids to the Artegas new restaurant ( right next door to their take out place). We all loved our food. Beware- the Michelada drink is Tall...Had a Chicken Gordita in masa. Ohh, sooo Good!Comfy seating. Nicest owners and staff!!!We will go back again & again!
