Armando's Mexican Food

Great Mexican food! Armando's food always tastes fresh. It has room for dining-in, but we usually order takeout. The staff is always very friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this place was. FIL lives not too far away and mentioned that they regularly frequented this place. We ordered a couple #2, enchiladas combo, potato tacos, and chips and salsa. Everything, and I mean Everything that we had (sans the salsa) was delicious! We loved that these fried bad boys were still crispy even carrying out. The chips were crispy as well and the beans and rice were just the right kind of perfection. My kiddos demolished the adult-sized rice, beans, and taco #2 combo.Service was quick and their prices were super reasonable. Def recommend them if you're in the area!

Ordered the carne asada fries with a medium jamaica (hibiscus water) for lunch. The cashier was friendly and my order came out about 10 minutes later. They had a salsa bar that's self serve with to go cups. The interior is very simple and seating is limited. There's also additional seating with benches with umbrellas outside. Armando's offers catering options. The carne asada fries were huge easily can be shared by two and have really great flavor. The jamaica was also really balanced not too sweet and just tangy enough. Overall just a great meal.

Tried Armando's in Riverwalk for the first time, and came out with 2 great meals! Ordered a burrito, chips and guac, pollo asado plate, and a churro. Everything was delicious, and I was shocked at the portion size of the #19 plate. While in the restaurant, other customers mentioned how delicious the fish tacos are, so I will be returning soon to give them a try!The staff was extremely nice and patient as I was reviewing the menu, and the food came out promptly after ordering! Tons of parking in the Riverwalk shopping center.

Good food, friendly service, and price wise, they're average! The restaurant is always clean and their self-service salsa bar is well stocked. I recommend "anything from their menu". I have not had a dish that I didn't like.

Food was very good and staff was very friendly answered any questions we had and they're not stingy with their salsa lol

Best carne asada fries, hands down. Haven't had any better. The fries are super crispy and thin cut, and the steak is cooked well! I come here at least once a month with my husband and every time it's delicious. The staff is also so kind and welcoming!

Service could use improvement. I asked what alternatives could substitute for fries in a kids meal & the response i got was - "I don't know??" in a rude way. Like if she wanted to say how am I supposed to know?In future, I think she should've responded with a different approach on it.

The staff was rude. Went in asking for a recommendation between two plates and she started talking to me as if I was dumb. When I simply just wanted to know which she preferred. After a long wait I got home and ate the plate, it tasted disgusting. Not even 10 minutes in I couldn't keep the food down and had to throw it up. Worst Mexican food place, do not recommend.

Carne Asada burrito is really flavorful. A 10 for sure. I'd come back to eat here. Service didn't take long.
