Ambrosio’s Taco Bar

I don't ever leave reviews, but I have to with this one. I was looking for a few months for a taco caterer. Looking at reviews and just had a hard time trying to find one. I've been too many parties where there was different vendors and none of them just had that spark in that plate where it was just like so amazing you had to go back for more.I found Ambrosio's taco bar and from the very beginning Erika was very professional! She was so kind and always quick to respond she was very patient with me and answered all my questions in details.I originally booked for 50 people, but as time went on more people started to RSVP and she bumped it up to 75 for me last minute and I just paid the difference day of It was just her and a gentleman with her and they were both on time. The set up was very nice! I told them what time I wanted them to start serving and they did just that everything was ready and on par.When I tell you, I had at least 20 of my guest talking about the taco bar and how delicious the food was. I couldn't believe how many people kept going back for more. ! I was too busy being the hostess of my own baby shower that I didn't get to eat right away, but I just kept hearing everyone talking and going back for more that I had to go and get myself a plate and I was amazed. They had EVERYTHING! Most the time people's rice is just not very good to me and the Spanish rice that they brought was absolutely delicious. They brought so many condiments with them. My husband and I chose the Horchata for the drink and it was so yummy. There actually wasn't much left by the end of the party and I was so shocked! I even saw a few of my guest, taking some business cards for keepsake for their future events ! Some of my guest even were so amazed by their food and just whole demeanor that they even went to the taco bar to personally leave tips. That's how you know they were THAT good! The weather was chilly so a lot of my guest started to leave and we didn't have enough people for a few of my baby shower games and the gentleman with there was so kind enough after I asked if he would mind filling in a seat for one of our games and he did just that. Everyone loved it.! couldn't believe how nice they were and willing to help. He even won the game and was so sweet he refused to accept the prize!! Lol!! so we gave it to the next person. I am 1000% going to be booking them for any future events that we have. To be completely honest, I have absolutely zero complaints about them. I woke up this morning with a few messages from some of my guest talking about how much fun they had at my baby shower and that they couldn't believe how amazing the tacos were and if they could get the information.The only thing I regret is not taking photos of the whole entire set up because I was just so busy.My mom even wanted to make sure that they ate some tacos for themselves because you have to remember. They weren't just here for the hours that we hired them for. They arrive hours prior to that as well to set up an ensure that everything as well put on a timely manner. Not a single one of our guest went hungry and they left us with food to go as well. That was left over. Along with some of the condiments. This was by far the best experience in having a taco bar for the first time my husband and I are very pleased!!Thank you to Erika and her team for making our day that much better!!!!

BEWARE BEFORE BOOKING! If I could give ZERO stars I would! The other reviews must be from friends because what is described is NOT what we received! We hired this unprofessional company 3 weeks in advance to cater my son's birthday this past weekend (1/25/25).Communication from Erica started out well, prompt and professional. However, the day of our event she sent out two younger guys, they arrived on time, set up and were prompt to serve at the time our contract said even 15 mins earlier (therefore they left 15 mins earlier than originally scheduled but still "served" for 2 hours) Now this is where things went downhill. 1. The Ambrosio's staff was eating the food we paid for, which wouldn't have been a problem however they ate BEFORE all of my guests were served and done eating. 2. They ate food from our other vendors without our consent or us offering. Now again I have no issues with offering it however the fact they took it upon themselves to do so was in my opinion very unprofessional 3. I saw multiple times they handled their phones then immediately touched food without changing out gloves. 4. At the end of the night when they provide to us what was left they gave us the rest of the tortillas that were left over which were expired. (01-08-25) so now I'm concerned if anything else was expired and hope no one gets sick please see the photo of the tortillas in pictures 5. The quesadillas were not made to order therefore the cheese was already hard by the time my guests received it6. The price we paid for services ($850 not to mention the generous tip my husband gave not knowing all this happened) included chips and salsa and more than half my guests didn't get chips! Of course because of these concerns I reached out to Erica, and well I will allow the messages to speak to what kind of company you will have to deal with if you choose to go with them but I encourage you to find another company I would have paid another company more to have a better quality service.

We hired Ambrosio's for our baby shower in June and it was incredible! The communication beforehand was amazing, and the two gentlemen who came that day were so hard working and kind. The setup was beautiful, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our friends and family raved about how awesome it was! Thank you!

Deliciousness! First let me start off by saying everything was delicious! The rice was perfect, the beans were amazing, and we went with the jamaica (hibiscus tea) which was so refreshing and don't even get me started on the meats. The meats were finger-licking good! The people were so nice and friendly and super polite. Oh my goodness my experience with them couldn't have been better. It was the perfect experience. Don't think twice, book them for your next party/gathering and you won't be disappointed. They're amazing.

Where do I start? Eryka came through for me at the last minute and I will forever be grateful. Now to the food... y'all... FINGER LICKIN!!! From the fresh fried fish and shrimp...BEST I HAVE HAD since I moved here from PA. Everything was just soooooo good! She left us with all of the leftovers which seemed to disappear within hours. Oh and don't forget the aqua fresca......WHAT! It was like liquid crack! lol Definitely one of the best around! If you are contemplating, DON'T! Great service and great food!

Erika is AMAZING! I hired her for my twins surprise birthday/last day of school party. She responded quickly and was easy to book. She came early to set up and cook. Her set up is beautiful! Her food is delicious! Everyone kept raving about her! I can't wait to hire her again for our next party. Thank you Erika!

Let's talk about customer service, she delivered! Amazing! A week before my gathering and my friend cancelled on me due to health issues and I had to research as I always do on Yelp, thankfully Erica was available, I believe she was the most reasonable and understanding person I talked to or heard back from.. The gathering~ she arrived when she told me, prepared and when guests arrived within minutes she had them eating her tacos, everyone loved them.. I would recommend and I know for sure next time I'm calling her!!' Thank you Erica and son, my family is loud and funny hope you guys liked the entertainment. Thank you

I was looking for taco catering service for a birthday and sent out a bunch of messages and requests. Ambrosios Taco Bar person Erika was very responsive and easy to interact with. Thats the main reason I also decided to go with them. I ordered carnitas, chicken tacos and ceviche. The ceviche and chicken tacos were a huge hit among the quests. They also hooked us up with extra tray of carne asada and a bunch of condiments, utensils etc. I ordered food for 10-15 people and after 10 guests we still have a lot of leftovers. Definitely a pleasant experience, on time delivery and good customer service, thank you!!

Last minute Erika stepped in to cover for my taco lady that cancelled due to an accident. Erika stepped in and exceeded expectations. I got birria, asada, and chicken. All were good. She has this hot salsa that is very flavorful and good hot. Thank you Erika I'll reserve you with more time next time.

We had a great experience with Erika. It started with a clear and detailed quote via text. A larger party is more cost effective of course. There's a couple of extra options for additional charge. Once we booked, she was well organized and we kept in touch as the event got close to make sure everything was on track.The traditional setup looked great and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had a lot of people back out last minute so they packed us lots of leftovers. The carnitas were my favorite along with the agua de piña. The service was courteous and they even cleaned the floors before they left. Will definitely use again given the opportunity!
