Alux Cocina Plus Mixologia

I was honestly surprised by this place! I thought I might have a bad experience since they were short-staffed, but our waiter did a great job. Service was a bit slower, and I saw some people leave, but as long as you get a heads-up and your drinks early, it's not a big deal. Speaking of drinks, they were really good! I love mezcal, and the mixed drinks were on point.To my surprise, my tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes and asparagus were also really good. The pricing is fair for what you get. Overall, everything was great--I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

We went here for a date night and started the night with a cocktail and a mocktail. I'm really impressed on how they make the mocktails, they are so ridiculous and perfect for people like me who want to start the 2025 year with no alcohol. My partner Said the cocktails are also definitely memorable, strong, but delicious. If you're not really into pork like I am, I definitely recommend The guacamole de chicharron ribeye. It's pretty delicious and has a nice crunch. For main dish. We got the picana de espadas. I really love how they take the time to cook the meat. Exactly how you want it to. The service was great, the server we got was super nice and super accommodating. This is definitely going to be a go-to date night spot for us.

My friends and I went to have brunch at Alux. It was empty as we were probably the first ones there, since they just opened at 10 am. We had our choice of seating. It gave off a modern and inviting vibe.Our server, Derek, was friendly and informative. I ended up ordering two shrimp tacos and sweet potato fries. Later on I added a watermelon/pineapple agua fresca. The tacos were delicious but the sweet potato fries were a bit undercooked for my liking. The watermelon agua fresca was definitely watermelon...not so much pineapple, but it was quite refreshing. Overall my friends and I had enjoyed our first visit there. We wouldn't mind returning.

This restaurant was on my way to work and I had it on my radar. Luckily I got a 5pm reservation as the next was 9pm. We were excited about having a Valentine's dinner here. We were promptly seated and then waited on by Carlos. I explored a little and was impressed by its staff, restrooms and ambiance. Carlos was outstanding as he helped us with the menu and excellent recommendations. On our way out, Lola was presented a Rose by Carlos. This restaurant seemed very well run and we will be back a lot!

The food and drinks were lit! Came here to celebrate my sis' birthday and love the Tulum vibes. The Piramide Shots and Mexican Candy Shots were fun. They came out with a birthday sign and it felt like bottle service at the club. Also went with a waiter recommendation, the Euforia - a specialty cocktail made with 1800 silver tequila, cointreau, fresh lime juice, blue curacao, red wine and rum 151. At first, I was skeptical as wine and liquor didn't sound like a good combo but gave it a shot and it was actually really good and strong. The Quesabirria tacos, Ribeye tacos and Aguachiles were bomb and honestly didn't expect a restaurant located in a random plaza to be great. Definitely a good time!

Really nice place, went during lunch for the first time and the food and drinks were really good. The setup and decor are modern. The staff was very attentive and the owner even came to our table just to make sure we were being taken care off. Would definitely go back

Alux is a recently opened Mexican dinner and drinks spot along Alessandro Blvd in Moreno Valley, and it looks absolutely stunning inside. Upon entering, there's a small, beautifully decorated waiting area, with wood details that give off a Tulum-inspired vibe. The main dining area is spacious, with plenty of larger tables for groups as well as more intimate seating options. To the right, there's a brightly lit bar with two TVs, adding a lively feel to the space.We visited on a busy Saturday evening, and the place was nearly packed. We decided to sit at the bar. Throughout the night, we sampled four of their signature cocktails: the Alux (Mezcal, Ancho Reyes, Hibiscus, Lime, Agave), the Xalvaje (Rum, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Grenadine, Lime), the Tamarind Mezcalita (Mezcal, Cointreau, Tamarind, Lime, Agave), and the Guava Paloma (Tequila, Grapefruit, Lime, Guava). All of the drinks were well-balanced, though on the lighter side in terms of alcohol strength. Our favorites were the Xalvaje, followed closely by the Tamarind Mezcalita.However, since Alux just opened, the service had some hiccups. We never got offered water refills and had to ask for them. We also ordered the Pollito a la Pibil (shredded chicken, broccolini, sweet potato fries), but it took an hour and five minutes for our food to arrive. While the presentation was nice, the portion was quite small for $30--only nine sweet potato fries! Sadly, the chicken was overcooked and dry, so we sent it back. The manager was very understanding and offered a complimentary dish. We went with his recommendation of the Aguachiles from the appetizer menu, and it was a great choice--the shrimp were perfectly textured, and the accompanying salsas were delicious.Overall, Alux has a lot of potential. Once the staff gets into a rhythm after the opening weeks, I'm confident the quality and service will improve. The ambiance is fantastic, and they offer a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 3-7 PM with some good deals. However, I wish there was more flexibility with their daily drink and food specials. I recommend checking it out yourself.

I expected more for the prices and the hype! Food takes forever I know the server's were trying to do their best , music sucks the place does looks nice but lonely! Food is ok I'll rather go to chili's!

Dania was the best! Took the extra time to make sure our service was the best! Got the pasta and it was amazing, recommend this place highly, especially with the live music
