Aladdin Jr Restaurant and Cafe

Don't order delivery via yelp. The order will not be filled by the 3rd party 'chownow.' Best to call and order over the phone.The restaurant has moved nextdoor to Trader Joe's in Claremont on Foothill and Indian Hill.All this being said, the mediterranian food here is great! Take out or sit down and plenty of tables. The owner is very nice and offered me some extra items for free like the garlic spread and a drink.Salmon is no longer on the menu btw. Chicken kabob and shwarma were both fantastic. Rice and salads that come with the meals are also good.Go back to your old hummus recipe though! This one isn't as good as your former! (My only complaint.)All this being said, you can tell they really want your business and they will go the extra mile for you.

Amazing hospitality and fun proprietor. He taught me some Arabic phrases and we sang my favorite Arabic songs together as I am an Arabic music fanatic. I had the delicious kafta kabob, which he made for me fresh while we sang and chatted. The kebabs came with buttery rice, sumptuous grilled veggies and creamy cucumber tzatziki. Delicious with large portions - I was glad I ordered "to go" because I couldn't finish. I even had a baklava which was amazing. I wish I had a photo of my delicious meal but I was so hungry I dove right into the deliciousness!

Small hole in the wall type place. Chicken shwarma and empanadas were excellent. I'm assuming the man behind the counter was the owner who was very friendly and generous. Will be returning.

Cheese Pie: I only received 2 pieces (the menu says this item comes with 4 pieces). 1 of the 2 was split open and filled with oil that just poured out and the cheese inside was burnt. Chicken Shawarma (Gyro): Chicken was very hit or miss. The smaller pieces were dry and overcooked. I paid $2 extra for garlic sauce that wasn't included. I asked for no vegetables or tomatoes but both were included. There was no pita included with the entree (I would have ordered them on the side but what gyro doesn't include pita?)Hummus was grainy and watery (maybe because they topped the hummus with watery tomato chunks with lots of seeds?).

First time eating here, the food was amazing and tasted fresh. The hospitality was great. Wallie was very attentive and sweet. Restaurant was clean and service was very fast. I will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to everyone I know

Ordered off DoorDash. I've ordered from here before and never had a problem. Food was always good but today I'm VERY disappointed and VERY unhappy!I ordered 2 Chicken Kabob plates, side of hummus, and 2 Pastries. However I only received 1 chicken kabob plate and my pita bread was not properly wrapped but just thrown in my bag???? I've never seen that before it's usually always wrapped in foil. No utensils and no sauces either. Though the food was ok, the rice had a weird smell to it? Like a stinky feet smell, not an over powering smell but a hint. So I think I was given old rice that's going bad. ):Also had to reorder that second plate of chicken kabob which was for my sister and unfortunately she said the same thing about the rice not being fresh and had a stinky smell to it!

After being stuck in Berts Mega Mall all day with no breakfast or lunch. My wife and I were looking for something good to eat. We started to pull into shake's Pizza, then we saw the sign Aladdin Jr. And what a surprise, the gentleman behind the counter acted like he knew us forever and we were part of the family.We have eaten Beef kabob's all over California these hands down were the best we have tasted ever. As we looked at the Menu and saw he also made empanadas we decided to order one and try it even though we were full from our meal, The empanadas were full of meat and very delicious we decided to buy 6 more and take them home. We live about 150 miles from Covina and Aladdin's, But I would make a point to go back for a lunch or dinner... Awesome food and Great serviceThank You

Update your hours on YELP so people don't drive all the way here to find out you're closed when yelp is showing 11pm!!!! SMH FYI I was there at 10pm!!

I order a 2 skewers chicken kabob and when I got to work and started eating it- I notice only received 1 skewer. Also the picture on Yelp and their menu showed both the lamb and ckicken under this menu - little confusing and deceptive under just the chicken. Partially my fault for basing off picture vs the reading the menu wording.Food was great, portion super big just more careful for packing the right food for what on menu.Thanks

I stopped by to get. Chicken Empanada and asked to add tabouleh salad and the flavors were great. I love how the chef makes the tabouleh with lots of parsley, tomatoes and those in some olives ( watch for seeds, tho). The chef is so kind and welcoming. I love it there.
