Okay, wow. I am actually so impressed by this unassuming taco joint! I pull up to a mini mart wondering where this place is but it's a small taco joint run by a kind lady that serves it up! Note: they take Zelle in case you don't have cash on you. FAVE ITEMS:- Chicken Tacos: omg the chicken was so tender and flavorful. And the tortillas on it were so good! It comes with peppers which are actually so delicious and not spicy at all. SERVICE: it was a little slow at first, but I think the lady was prepping it fresh so just be patient because it's worth the wait. PARKING: there's a small little lot in front of the mini mart!PRICE: pretty reasonable! $2.50 per taco if I remember correctly. Overall, I am definitely recommending this unassuming taco joint! So amazing and I hope to keep it a secret for myself to be honest!

I love giving little hole in the wall places a try because sometimes they have the best food, and this is the total definition of that. It is basically a food counter located inside a small market in the middle of a residential area. There is an area inside the market with a few tables where you can sit and eat your food if you want to.I stopped by here one evening about a week ago because it is close to my house and I wanted to try the chile verde burrito. Unfortunately the lady running the counter, who I assume is the owner, told me she was all out of chile verde. So, I then asked what was better the carne asada or the birria? She told me, "well I can put carne asada on one side of the burrito and birria on the other side so that you can try both"...SOLD. I also saw she served tortas and I asked if they chop up the carne asada meat or leave it whole. She told me she has it both ways. I was so excited because my favorite torta spot from when I lived in the bay area serves the meat whole, but I hadn't been able to find anywhere in the Riverside area since moving here, that serves it that way. Obviously I had to order one of those to go too!The lady taking my order was super friendly and told me I could wait in my car and she would send someone out with the food. My order came out to my car pretty quickly. It came with tortilla chips and small containers of red salsa. The salsa was a bit spicy for me. I'm not real big on spicy, so next time I will ask if they have green salsa instead and see if that is more my speed. They had all the food packed up nicely in a small cardboard box to make it easy to carry and to keep it from spilling. Now for the food review:The Carne Asada Steak Torta: The bread was fresh and slightly toasted. It had beans and the other standard ingredients which all combined really well. Unfortunately to my disappointment, the whole Carne Asada Steak was a bit tough making it hard to bite through. It also had large portions of gristle that were simply inedible and had to be spit out. The torta as a whole really did taste good, I just found it difficult to chew and eat. I may need to give it another try with a different meat choice. Sadly, it appears my search for a good whole carne asada steak torta continues. The Half Carne Asada/Half Birria Burrito: Well I started off eating the chopped carne asada side and it was a good. It was easier to eat since it was already chopped up but nothing really to rave about. When I got down to the birria meat side is when things really took off for me The birria meat was tender and delicious. It was hands down the standout and what I would absolutely order again. The flour tortilla was fresh and warm and tasted homemade. All in all a very good burrito.Price. I believe the burrito was $9.99, I think the torta was about the same, but I don't really recall. I want to go back and try some $2.50 tacos because they looked delicious.Despite a slight let down this place is a winner! Good homemade food at a very reasonable price. That combo is hard to find nowadays. Don't let the look of the market scare you away, I would without hesitation recommend giving this place a try!NOTE: I tried to go back for a second visit earlier tonight. I checked the hours here on yelp before leaving the house and it said it was open til 9:00pm. I got there at abut 8:10pm. The market was still open, the food counter inside was not. So either they closed early, or the hours listed here are wrong?

Great value for $7!Ordered Chile Verde Burrito and upon arrival was greeted by a friendly & vibrant lady with a smile.Only took about 10 minutes from phone order to get my order in hand.Loaded full sized burrito, she even took the time to ask me if I wanted cilantro & onion added.Received salsa on the side with tortilla chips.Taste was on point! The chile verde was full flavor, tangy, spicy but not too much, and salt content was just right (*which to me I prefer salt but not too much, more on the lighter side), rice was fresh & moist, beans were perfect and not dried out, and the tortilla was thin and soft; holding together without tearing.Great place in the back of a little market!Support the local residence by visiting this place. My first and certainly not last visit here.

This is my favorite taco spot in Riverside. Love the homemade tortillas and the rich flavors. Lots of drinks options since it is inside a minimart.

Small and mighty place. It's inside a small market but really good. The pictures currently posted on here are old. The breakfast is now 7.99 but very much worth it. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was great. The lady working the small kitchen was very kind.

Picked up food from here for Postmates and it made me want to get something myself. Very clean kitchen actually surprisingly clean considering the location. There was only one person working, he was friendly and expedited the food pretty fast. "Hole in the wall" "Diamond in the rough" whatever you wanna call it this place is great.

Delicious. Great service and people! 10/10 highly recommend. They lady was so nice to us and polite. The salsa is spicy just how I like it but it comes on the side so don't worry if you can't handle the heat.

Delicious carnitas, carne asada, and potato tacos. The salsa is super delicious! Tamales were lacking and overcooked. But I'll be back for tacos for sure.
