Love this place!!
Cute Bar!
Small, dark, mysterious
Whiskey Mule and a Blood Orange Martini - tasted Fab!
What a delightful mojito!
Charcuterie board. Too much blue cheese, but tasty! (A little Brie would be nice)

So, finally tried this little place out. It was Friday night and only a few people in there.....kinda felt like we had the place to ourselves. It is definitely a great date-night starter bar. It is comfortable and classy. The drinks are good and they have some good small plates. The servers were friendly and attentive. We'll have to try the actual restaurant out next time, food looked and smelled yummy!

I literally stumbled across this place on accident! One night after work, a colleague and I decided to check it out. We were rewarded with an atmosphere reminiscent of a speak easy-with warm, friendly service. Do note, it is a small intimate area with soft lighting, which is great for date night but not "get lit & loud with your girls" night. We found a couple seats next to the windows, and enjoyed mojitos with truffle fries. I must say how impressed I was with the truffle fries, they have a certain subtle garlicky kick to them. I will looking forward to trying more of their appetizers in the future, I heard the fried peppers were amazing. We had a lovely time chatting it up while listening to the very chill music playing. Would definitely recommend this spot as a classy getaway from the hustle and bustle downtown!

So if this review was base purely on my opinion of the food and drinks- it was be like a 5 star- No question. The wine selection is strong, the mixed drinks or bartenders choice have never disappointed and the food is... Yum! A group of us usually would go together and order a hodge podge of snacks and drinks and enjoy. That was like - months ago! It's great that their business is doing well- but just about every time we go on a weeknight between 4:00 & 6:00- Absent 9 is closed for a private party! And yeah you can have the same things down stairs- but sometimes you just want a drink in a dark room and to be able to talk to your friends and enjoy not being in a "restaurant" environment after work. The last time we attempted to go was on a Thursday, early evening and Absent was closed for a private party and so was Greensleeves. But they always have their dumb sign out- like- "Hello! We're open and we're cool and we're advertising but you can't come in!!!" What is that? It's annoying! That's what that is! I mean have you been to the downtown area around the early evening? You have to pillage and have 20/20 vision to find a parking spot! And then imagine you find one or Heavens- you parallel and then it's closed! But... I SAW THE SIGN!!! #aceofbaseI loved the lounge vibe of Absent 9 and the comfy chairs and just a good place to decompress. I'm my opinion- parties should only be allowed to reserve in Greensleeves. The lounge should be club like and available for a quick get together. Or even if they could not let parties reserve until like 7pm. More bar like. I prefer it to Darby's and The State and Copehouse and Romano's.... I'm just apparently not important enough to get in Anyhoodles... we're pretty disappointed in a place we really liked.

Very disappointing. Two times in a row, on different days and times of the week, I was stopped at the door to the lounge and not permitted to enter because there was a "private party" who had taken over the restaurant and lounge. The employees were indifferent and apathetic as to my situation and I will not ever recommend this place in future Ps. They should have a room to rent out, not the entire facility

This little gem was an accidental find and definitely glad we found it. At first we thought we were underdressed for the sophisticated and classy look of the bar but Robert the bartender welcomed us and assured us we were ok. For the next two hours he engaged us and the 3 or 4 tables he was servicing in meaningful conversation, something you want at every bar IMHO.The food was perfect I had the steak Mac and cheese which was amazing and their shrimp cocktail was fresh and the shrimp were huge!! Robert knew a bunch of different drinks and the man knows his craft beer and whiskey. Overall the experience was exactly what you would want from a good bar. And we will be back.

I especially love the ambiance- comfy chairs and good lighting. I especially love when I manage to be there when they have live music!

My husband and I visited this establishment for the first time last night. The atmosphere and ambiance are very cozy and fun. The staff is super friendly. For these reasons, I see would give them five stars. I ordered the seared scallops for dinner and was delivered an appetizer size plate for $28. It contained 3 small scallops, 2 slices of mushroom pieces, and 2 slivers of carrot. I left hungry. My husband ordered fried chicken, and it was very small, as well. The food is excellent but the portions were stingey.I would recommend this place for the drinks and ambiance but don't go there hungry.
