2nd Avenue Saloon & Sports Bar

This was my second time at this bar and it's always a vibe to catch up with friends! The music is loud and great for dancing on the dance floor.I would say the down side of this bar is that it gets packed and getting to the bar is a mess. They have a rail that goes all the way across the bar that makes accessing drinks difficult. There is organization to it.

As i'm reading the reviews, I feel like it's important to understand demographic and age range. I am not in my 20's, i'm at the age in my 30's where if we are going out, I want to be able to sit down, drink and vibe out, and be back in my bed by 11pm before the younger kids start coming out.The few times I have been here have been with friends. We came once just to order a punch bowl, sit and listen to music and left well before it became a young kids playground. There was also a time where a friend hosted a bday here and we had a private section, away from the dance floor, where the pool table was, and it was a vibe. Food was great both times we went. Bartender was personable and such good energy, I think her name was Vicky or Joan, maybe. I guess the reviews and ratings are really depending on the reason for your night out. I think the dj sentiments and music selection also probably attribute to the different age range. Needless to say, whether it is a hit or miss for you, check the place out.

Had so much fun celebrating my birthday there! The reserved tables, dollar drinks, pizza and cake really made it special! We got there around 8:30 and it gets packed quickly but the waitress I had was very attentive and so much fun!!great security team makes you feel safe and the owner was out making sure everything ran smoothly! Thanks 2nd Ave for making my night!

Would be so much better if they had an updated music playlist! Same songs every time I come :/ thought I was at the bar not a quince

Nice lady at the bar was fun. She was a great conversationalist. Pizza was good. We weren't there for long but we had a good time.

I had the worst experience here. If I could put a negative 5 stars I would. I was a paying customer and it was karaoke night. When I got there I put my name on the list and 2 and a half hours later I still never was able to sing. I asked the DJ multiple times where my name was at on the list. She kept shutting me up by telling me I was next. I IN FACT was NOT next. I then was fed up and went to speak to the manager about my concerns. He then went to speak to the DJ and while he was doing so my friends were ready to leave. I went up to the both of them (DJ and Manager) and told them I don't want to sing. The manager then said "now you don't wanna sing? I came over to tell her to let you sing" That was frustrating because he missed the whole point of my complaint. And still at the end of it never did he once apologize for my bad experience. I never got an apology from the DJ. All she had to say was "I don't know what you're talking about". She did in fact know exactly what I was talking about. Moral of the story, this establishment has been nothing but unprofessional and I don't recommend wasting your time or money. If you go there and have a problem it will NOT be solved by management. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. DO NOT GO HERE. I hope they read this and better themselves.

This place sucks, can't dance if you ain't with someone now, racist owner and the owner is the one running the DJ that play every song on repeat every weekend and he sucks. I was there and he is over on the Mic asking about "who is going to get laid" and calling out every man because there's girls on dance floors and saying "how are we suppose to get laid if no men get bitches" but yet he doesn't allow single people to go meet people at dance floor, he is just an old dumb ass person who doesn't even know what he is saying...

I'm incredibly disappointed in the experience I had at 2nd avenue saloon & sports bar. A night out with friends and loved ones turned sour due to the blatantly discriminatory behavior of the bouncer.Despite being with our girlfriends, we were not allowed on the dance floor because we were single men, which already seemed odd. However, we noticed that white single men were being let onto the dance floor without question. It was clear that the bouncer's actions were discriminatory toward people of color.This treatment was not only offensive but also unacceptable. We came here expecting to enjoy the evening, but instead, we were subjected to unfair, racially biased behavior. A place that allows such practices to go unchecked is not somewhere I would recommend to anyone.Management needs to take responsibility for their staff's behavior and ensure that everyone is treated fairly, regardless of race. Until they address this issue, I'd advise others to steer clear of this place.The disrespectful bouncers name was "D".As a 40 year old man & person of color you need to learn how to respect people and treat people fairly.This outlandish rule "no single men allowed on the dance floor" is unheard of and uncanny and will push people away who are trying to enjoy their night."D" is the bouncer with the unfortunate receding hairline. He is being rude to people instead of taking a trip to turkey to fix his problem and instead taking it out on people who are trying to have a great night of dancing and drinks.In conclusion all of the bar tenders and waiters are super kind. It's unfortunate they have to work at this place that has so much potential, but have terrible security staff and preposterous rules from the owner.

This place is sucks! Giving 1 star is my wasting time..... this place doesn't deserve even 1 star on yelp.... On weekend i couldn't get into dance floor because I'm single man? What kind of rules is that???? I felt discrimination, and their DJ sucks! Same musics for decades.

This place is an absolute dumpster fire. The Dj girl (can't even give her the respect of calling her a lady) is sarcastic as heck and has an attitude. I'm not sure if she moves people's requests to the top for karaoke because they give her a kickback IDK. Waited 2.5 hours for a request to never hear our song. Meanwhile she played other people slow ass requests. When we got the store owner involved he couldn't find a fuck to give. Per usual. Save your time and your money I'm sure there are plenty of better bars to go to. PLEASE DO NOT SETTLE. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CONJURE YOUR OWN OPINION ABOUT THE PLACE. It is garbage. I mean that with all disrespect at this point (: FYI I couldn't rate lower than 1 star!!
