Our First VisitThis was our first time dining at Rio Mirage Cafe y Cantina after hearing and reading about this restaurant for a while on Yelp. We were a group of five. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated almost immediately. The Service was excellent as was the food.On this visit we shared beef fajitas, cheese enchiladas. And a res chiki burrito enchilada style. Everything was very tasty. The fajitas were made perfectly, the meat was lean, moist, and flavorful, as was thevrest of our entrees. I have to mention how good the Chios and salsa were. The Chips were thin, crispy, and seeved hot. The chips and salsa were too good. We ate about 3 baskets! If you're looking forvtasty mexican food, at reasonable prices, and spot on service, drop in. You won't be disappointed

This restaurant is very close to our home and for years we'd drive by it and we finally stopped by this last week.To start, the parking is very limited, but I got lucky as someone was leaving right when I pulled up. The location itself is absolutely beautiful and spacious. The service was quick and attentive to all our needs. The food... was unfortunately very average. I've been looking for something that tastes as close to authentic Mexican food and thought that perhaps this would be the place considering the fact that it was always full. My wife and I ordered enchiladas and I ordered what was supposed to be their speciality burrito - with the main reasoning being that it was marked one of their specialities. And it was all /just/ okay. I'd come back for drinks and light appetizers perhaps, as the place is very pretty. But I wouldn't come here when craving Mexican food.

We recently went in search of a quality Mexican restaurant as our previous place recently took a steep nose dive in both quality and service. Several of our friends recommended the Rio Mirage Cafe in El Mirage and after reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try.First, parking. We went on Saturday at about 4:00pm and found no crowds. This may have been because we were before the rush or it may have been because the snowbirds have gone but for whatever reason there was plenty of parking in the lot available.Second, service. Again, no crowd, no waiting. The very friendly hostess seated us immediately. Our waiter was friendly, efficient and fast. A large basket of corn chips along with a thick salsa (which was strangely flavor free - our only complaint) was delivered immediately as we were seated and our drinks were ordered and delivered in short order.Third, the food. I had a taco salad with shredded beef, my wife had a chicken chimichanga and my brother-in-law had the taco plate. All three meals were delivered to the table quickly and all were extremely flavorful. All in all it was a very enjoyable dining experience and one that will be repeated. We've found our new favorite place for Mexican food!

Been a few years being here. Father's birthday this time. Actually got in fairly fast for the 6 of us. Place is really interesting to see. All types of decorations on the wall. Full service bar where they turn out the great margaritas. And assorted Mexican beers. I started off with a Negra modelo. Combo for dinner. 2 soft shelled corn tacos ground beef and very stuffed. With a chicken and cheese enchilada along with rice and beans. Our server Leslie did a great job and we didn't want for a thing. Seemed like everyone enjoyed the drinks and considering the amount of food taken home the portions were more than ample. Worth it to stop by and enjoy a meal and a margarita or 2.

Absolutely love this neighborhood spot! Chips & Salsa are always fresh and hot. The service is always great & friendly. The food is great portion size, fresh and so flavorful. We have been here many times and it's always consistent. Always a go to for great Mexican food. Inside has authentic Mexican feel with colorful paint and decor. Always clean.

Stopped in here for lunch on a weekday. I can see parking being an issue when busy as it's a small lot but not busy during the day. We were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and we had our drink and food order taken quickly. Chips and salsa arrived and not too long after our lunch. The chicken in my taco was tasty and not weird (some people know what I mean cause meat can get creepy). Hubs enjoyed his lunch and the beans and rice were decent. A great spot to grab a meal for under $10. Our server was quick and we were in and out within 30 minutes. Will definitely stop in again.

So pleasantly surprised! I have driven by so many times but finally decided we should try it. The food is the absolute perfect temperature. Steaming hot! We asked for the hot salsa and it had a nice habeneros flavor. I got the green corn tamale with rice, beans and a shot of tequila. Corn tamale had a nice sweet edge to it and the green chili sauce was smooth and not smothering. Those beans were great. The rice was meh, but definitely the right temperature. House tequila was even decent. Service was attentive but not annoying and I loved the vibe of the restaurant. Reminds me of Willy and Guillermos restaurant back in time. I will definitely be checking in here again!

I love both Rio Mirage locations, but this one is just a little bit more special.Located just off Grand, this location boasts a large outdoor courtyard area with lots of seating, water fountains and a garden feel. At night the area is lit up with strings of lights for a magical and festive feel. The food here is great! I've had several dishes off their menu (enchiladas being one of my favs), but this time I tried the tacos. So tasty! I wish they had a spice level scale so you could kick things up a notch or 3 (there is none listed on the menu, so it might be something you have to ask for). Adding a spice level to adjust any dish would be an amazing addition.Parking is good, but can be busy during peak hours (there is street parking available nearby in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to the restaurant).Looking for tasty Mexican food with a relaxing home cooked vibe and festive atmosphere, definitely give this Rio Mirage location a try!
