Rila Bakery & Cafe

Visited on 4/20 specifically for the flat croissants. I got to the bakery at 7:30 as their social media postings say to get there early because they sell out. However, the croissants weren't even ready and I had to wait 30 minutes. The person in front of me tried to order drinks but she couldn't order drinks because the barista wasn't even there. The cashier was very hesitant to sell the croissants and overall it was such a weird interaction. She told me that the croissants would take 30 minutes and I said that's fine but asked if I could purchase them now since I was already at the bakery, first in line and I didn't know what the line would look later. She was hesitant and then said that I could do that so I asked if I could get 2 of each flavor so 4 total but she said it was limited to 1 per transaction. I visited before they posted about the one per transaction rule and I totally understand the limit but I wished they would have posted it somewhere even in the store before enforcing that rule. Since there were two people including me in the party, I asked for 1 flavor each so 2 total. Again, she was very hesitant for some reason and said it's 1 per transaction. And I said we are 2 people so we will do 2 transactions and she was happy with that. Personally, I think it makes more sense to have it 1 per person because isn't it essentially the same thing as 1 per transaction but they are just paying extra card transaction fees? As for the flat croissants, I think it was okay. They only have filled flat croissants (strawberry/basil or earl grey/apricot). I would have preferred an option of just a plain flat croissant with no filling. I enjoyed their other bakery options like the kouign amann, scones and regular croissants.

Came here around 10am on a Wed.Bought pistachio croissants for my friends and a coffee cake and a flat croissant with strawberry basil for myself.My friends enjoyed the pistachio croissants very much - very crunchy and we could see the pistachios outside and inside. Pistachio croissants were also very big sized.The coffee cake was not as big and did not have anything inside.The flat croissant was very delicious but it got messy when I was eating it as the stuffs inside would be squished out as I was biting it, so the strawberries would fall off.I also enjoyed the milk tea very much. Too bad boba was not available until 11am.The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. The facility was clean and cute. Perfect for studying or hanging out with friends. Free wifi available.Parking was easy as there was a parking lot.

Croissants were delicious, flaky, buttery, a touch of sweetness and the right amount of filling. We came at 11:30 and they were out of the flat croissants and all black teas, would be great and 5 stars if they had more availability of their menu to later in the day.

Really friendly staff and good croissants. There is a sign for limit 1 flat croissant per person which I think is reasonable given its popularity. I wish they would open a little bit later since they close at 2 pm now.

Best croissants in the Lynnwood area! I arrived at 9:30 am on a Friday because I heard they sell out quickly, and fortunately, all the options were available! The croissants were light, crispy, and bursting with flavors. The flat croissant was unique because it was sandwiched with cream and fresh fruits inside. I also loved the everything seasoning cream cheese croissant, it's perfect for breakfast! I had quite a bit to carry out the door and accidentally dropped the large garlic pastry. The owner was incredibly kind and replaced it for me. The staff is amazing, and the pastries are delicious! The interior is also very charming; many people were working or studying there too.

Haven't been here in a while but they still have fresh, delicious pastries. All of their pastries I tried on this particular day were flaky, flavorful and had a great balance between filling to pastry. The service was quick and although I didn't stay long, the ambiance was perfect for a date, studying, hanging out. Tables were clean and overall experience was great.

Drinks and pastries are good. They offer a limited drink menu of milk tea, tea, and a few unique coffee drinks. They have a wide variety of pastries but it's important to come in early/close to opening especially on a weekend to ensure you'll be able to get something you want as they sell out fast. They had to close early because they sold out completely before their closing time. There's lots of seating inside and they have high chairs for little ones. Cute decor inside and plenty of space. Bathrooms are also very clean. Good service and overall pretty quick even when they're busy.

I'm not sure why I gave this place a 4 star because it totally desserve a 5 star!!!! This is my 3rd time being here now and it's is consistently amazing, thank God it's not close to me or I will be coming here weekly.We got the smoked salmon croissant as well as the Hokkaido cheese tart to try this time and both were amazing. Salmon croissant - filled with salmon, cream cheese and onion and they heated it up for us which made the outside a perfect crisp. Hokkaido cheese tart --- love how much cheese is in this thing and how flaky the outside is. Has a hint of sweetness but also cheesy.Highly recommend if you're in the area or if you just want good pastries.It's a big place and decor is nice and also a good place to study, work,etc

Yummy pastries and the boba is very tasty at less than $6. Will have to come back to try the flat croissants. Service was great. The cashier was friendly. Ambiance was thriving. Lots of people there chatting and studying, but still plenty of space available.

Nice variety of very fresh delicious pastries. I especially liked the mango flat croissant and the small strawberry croissant. I'm so happy to have such a high quality bakery near my home. Will be back to work my way through the menu.
