Rice To Meet You

Recently, I went back and brought my siblings from the east coast, and they thoroughly enjoyed the clay rice pot and clay pot noodle with braised beef. The chicken lo mein was ehh and the tea beverages were better than last time. Service was friendly and attentive for the most part. Down side is several cups of water for our group had gnats/fruit flies in it. Overall, still a solid 4 stars.

Rice to meet you is a spot you go to for claypot rice and noodle rolls. It's tucked in the corner of the busy Hmart plaza but well worth a stop if you're craving this canto specialty.Service is pretty quick and the place can seat a decent amount of people. It's clean and fairly efficient given how long it typically takes to claypot anything!What we got:- Pork rib claypot rice: Many chunks of pork ribs plus a few veggies to make yourself feel better about eating all the carbs and the meat. Was very tasty and worth getting again- Beef rice noodle roll dish: Can't remember the exact name, but rolled rice noodles with tender chunks of beef. Can't go wrong with that combo!Each of the two items came with either soup/drink of choice.

Everything that I tried from here was pretty mildy flavored. I do think that everything was cooked well, but that extra oomph was missing. We ended up adding soy sauce & chili oil to every dish which helped a bit. The popcorn chicken was juicy & lightly crispy on the outside, but there wasn't much seasoning & it did not come with fried basil. The beef brisket rice noodles came out sizzling but was lacking in flavor a bit, but the noodles had a nice chewy texture & beef was tender. The clay pot also didn't have too much flavor, but I did appreciate the crispy rice. The meats in the clay pot weren't very flavorful or fresh though. Our favorite dish was the choy sum! The veggie was cooked well & had a light garlic flavor. Food came out pretty fast and the restaurant is very clean. They serve lemon water which was super refreshing!

The past four times I have tried this place, I have yet to be disappointed. Service, food, and the boba (surprisingly) have been great.I always get their boba combo bowls and the price has been pretty reasonable. The portions are huge that you also end up taking away food to snack on later.My go to combos are 19 and 23, the rice coming out crispy from the clay pot is my favourite partpopcorn chicken is solid too.During lunch they offer complimentary soup.

I'm so surprised I hadn't heard about this restaurant before! Great little Chinese restaurant with delicious clay pot meals. The service was not too attentive to us and the staff seemed a bit unprofessional (like legit a worker in his flip flops holding his cigarette before leaving outside) but maybe they're just a family owned business and casual like that? the water given to us also tasted like it had soap in it. For the food itself, it was reasonably price and very yummy! The popcorn chicken was crunchy and had great flavor. I do wish it came with a nice sauce but luckily they do have ketchup if you ask them. I got number #18 which was the Cantonese cured pork belly + spare ribs & #39 the beef brisket rice noodle rolls (my favvvvv). You get so much food for the price. Would come again bc the food was good:)

3.5/5The beef brisket rice noodle was yummy and came out super hot. It was more of a dry pot situation, so it wasn't very saucy. That being said the beef was super tender and flavorful, although it felt like the rice noodles were not flavorful enough. We also got the popcorn chicken which was very mediocre. There wasn't much of a flavor profile to it and I wish it came with some basil leaves. It did come out hot, which is a plus. My favorite item we got was the choy sum with garlic sauce--it was super fresh and had good seasoning. We also got the cured pork belly + spare rib clay pot rice, which came out sizzling, but lacked flavor. I enjoyed the crispy rice at the bottom, but the dish itself lacked flavor despite its appearance. The clay pot rice came with a ginseng soup which was not my favorite. The ginseng was very strong and I did not taste much of the chicken. The chili oil supplied by the restaurant was super flavorful and spicy and greatly elevated the flavor profiles of the dishes. Overall, an okay experience, would only return for the choy sum and the rice noodles.

Big portion and very reasonable prices for clay pot rice and rice noodle rolls. Highly recommend for a no frills meal (lunch or dinner) with the family. Looking forward to return and try out other dishes. Place was busy when we got there at 7PM but we got seated pretty quick after a ten minute wait. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was good- solid Cantonese style claypot rice and claypot cheung fun. Wish they have more vegetarian options.Will make this place as part of our rotations whenever we find ourselves in Chinatown.

Absolutely delicious! The combos of the clay pot and the soup is so worth it and huge portion. Make sure to add the soy sauce on the side. The in noodles are strangely addicting. It's def on the heavier, greesy side of Chinese food but comforting nonetheless. Get the popcorn chicken! I had some leftover and let's just say they were demolished by friends in .5 seconds despite them being leftovers and cold. The soup was warm and delicious. Service was prompt and the ambiance is very casual eatery. Love it!!

This place is so gooood...when it's good. The consistency lacks or maybe I'm unlucky for the times I go or bring people. I love the braised beef with flat noodles served in a clay pot. Absolutely soft, tender, and juicy. On a bad day, it lacks flavor or is very dry and chewy.Otherwise, price point is great and concept is original!
