Delicious food and great service! The fresh spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce were incredible. We shared the shrimp ones. I had the lemongrass chicken. Wow! So good. Served over garlic noodles and the mushrooms were caramelized and so tasty. Huge portion and I brought home leftovers to enjoy later. My friend had the crispy chicken spring rolls and really loved them..it came with three.

Great place for a twist on Vietnamese food! Long time Vietnamese food enthusiast and have tried countless restaurants throughout the US. Rice Paper brings a unique and modern twist to Vietnamese cuisine. From their fish sauce wings to their spiced up rolls, their unique flavors is definitely a reason to keep coming back. Great staff and ambiance as well! Made sure I was checked in on and had everything I needed. Food came out quickly as well (quick for what I ordered). Can not wait to return and try new items when I am back in town.

Such a nourishing, delicious lunch! They don't use MSG! Thankful for that! Kind, excellent service! If I lived closer I would go there at least weekly because my meal left me so happy. Jicama always does that for me! lol

To preface: I feel as though I am a pretty lenient reviewer. While I try to reserve 5 stars for truly outstanding restaurant experiences, I also rarely rate places very harshly. Therefore rating below a 3 means it's a place I don't intend to return to. We'll start with the pros:The decor is super nice and very cute! They had a floating lady on a bike in a traditional ao dai and rice hat. So 10/10 on ambiance. Service was also very kind and attentive. Unfortunately where things suffer is the food, which is ultimately the most important part. So the majority of their menu consists of summer rolls (hence the name rice paper) and there is a variety of traditional and non-traditional filling. I chose to go with the summer rolls since it was their specialty while my girlfriend and friends got the crispy rice and pho. To start, the prices on everything was very high compared to typical Vietnamese restaurants. And as you might guess from my rating, the taste did not support the price. The summer rolls on average $10 for 1. Yes, ONE. Sure they are a little bigger than traditional summer rolls (I would say maybe 1.5X larger?) but that additional size was all fluff with lettuce and vermicelli noodles. The protein is about the same as you would get in a standard summer roll. Given how cheap rice paper, vermicelli noodles, lettuce, and cucumbers are: the price already didn't make sense to me. To top it off, the taste was not the best. Don't get me wrong, it's not repulsive by any means. But the pork and peanut sauce was probably the least flavorful of any viet place I've been to. The non-traditional roll was actually tastier in my opinion but not by much. The cucumbers were also cubed instead of sliced (as is traditionally done). This makes it annoying to eat because cucumber cubes kept falling out. The crispy rice was kind of the opposite problem. It was very overseasoned and was quite salty to my girlfriend and I. I preferred it over my summer roll but ultimately it was just a glorified stir fry for $20. While I did not try my friends pho, my girlfriends crispy rice came with a bowl of broth which I suspect was the pho broth due to the flavor profile. If it was indeed the pho broth, again they missed the mark. It was very cloudy, almost like a miso soup and the depth of flavor was just not there. I would recommend pretty much any other viet place over Rice Paper and unfortunately the underwhelming food in combination with the overwhelming price makes this place not worth a visit in my opinion.

Excellent Vietnamese at this spot tucked away in a strip center. It's a rectangular room with a bar on the right with 14 seats, plus about 10 tables. About 6 tables outside in the patio. Service is quick and friendly. Thanks Aidan for taking good care of me.Started with a rolled-to-order shrimp spring roll. Thin sticky rice paper stuffed with cold rice noodles, greens, thinly sliced shrimp and, uniquely, a pencil thin roll of fried rice paper. Added a cool crunch to the roll. Ingredients crisp and fresh. Served with sweet peanut sauce for dipping. Also tried Pho Dac Biet. Hearty, earthy and robust long-simmered bone broth is served with sliced eye round steak, tendon, flank steak, tripe, and meatballs. I was surprised by the quantity of meat in the bowl... It was a LOT. And a knot of rice noodles, garnished with green onions plus the plate of basil, cilantro, bean sprouts. My only nit was the sliced raw onion. Onions were very strong and distracted from the subtle flavors of the other ingredients. No big deal - I plucked the onions out of the bowl. Good place. Recommended.

I love everything about this place except crappy napkins and silverware! Just a pet peeve of mine. Pho is fabulous and the rolls (firecracker shrimp is my fav)! My husband loves the banh mi sandwich. Please! Better napkins and silverware!

This an update to my previous review of this restaurant and I have to say that I'm pleased to say nothing has changed it's still a great place to get some really great Vietnamese food in Scottsdale. I had the grill pork Bun which is one of my most favorite dishes and it was as you would expect excellent. A great interplay sweet and heat, sour and sweet. The beautiful delicate interplay of light fresh herbs and fresh vegetables make it such a great dish. The bartender Lucia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made ordering easy stress free. She makes a great cocktail so that's a bonus. The ambience has not changed it's still very clean and well maintained facility and a pleasant place to have lunch or dinner. I look forward to returning again to this great restaurant.

I went out of my way to get banh mis and fresh spring rolls from here and boy were they the most underwhelming. Our banh mi was super soggy (maybe that was due to the 10 minute drive home) and the spring rolls were so stuffed with lettuce that I could barely taste and of the other ingredients in there. Really wanted to like this place but instead I was left feeling disappointed and underwhelmed.

Rice paper has been a go-to for my spouse and I but over the last year, our experience with the food has changed. Like others have mentioned, the prices are a bit higher than expected given the ingredients included in each item. In particular, the shrimp spring roll had 5-6 mini shrimp with an obscene amount of rice noodles and bean sprouts. The roll was basically a burrito! However, this burrito was not exciting nor flavorful. We are hopeful the quality will return to previous levels.
