Rice & Noodles Chinese Kitchen

Came here to eat since it was in the area and the kiddo wanted noodles. Decided on the beef chow mein and I am not exaggerating when I say it's the worst noodles I've ever had in a restaurant. The dish was super salty, unpalatable so I took it back and they made a new one. 2nd time it was not as salty, but the noodles itself were so mushy (it was mushy the first time too) that it just broke down in your mouth without having to chew. The flavors were super "artificial" tasting - not that I expected authentic Chinese cuisine in a food court, but this was just epically bad. And to think I paid $17 for this makes it even worse. Never again..

Rice & Noodles Chinese Kitchen is a new eatery in the Crossroads Shopping Center food court. It had taken over another Chinese eatery, which I hadn't tried. But I saw that they had wonton soup, so wanted to check it out. I will say that the wonton soup came out piping hot, which has me believe that they don't just make it ready to go and heat it up. The skin on the wontons was very thin, which was good. And the pork wasn't bad. I also like that it came with a lot of baby bok choy. But I was disappointed in the broth, which is always my favorite part of any soup. The broth was just more bland than I anticipated. It needed some extra oomph to it, like some chili paste or even a dash of salt. Since it's located in the food court at Crossroads, finding a place to dine in is easy, with many tables available. In addition to wonton soup, they have other heartier entrees. Not terrible food, but far from my favorite among the Crossroads food selection.

As my name suggests I am crazy for Mongolian beef. When I first had it here it was great. Very different from other places more on the dry side as in not a lot of sauce. It actually reminded me of a place back in the day in Emeryville, CA called crispy fry in the public market. It no longer is there but anyone who's ever had Mongolian beef at crispy fry is probably in search of that similar Mongolian beef. Well I was happy to find this place that serves a Mongolian beef similar to crispy fry. However after my second visit it seems they either change the recipe or the cooks makes different styles because the second time was very different. It was very sweet and had lots of gravy/sauce. Also the woman made it this time. I was kinda disappointed because I drove from Kirkland just to eat the Mongolian beef. I have pictures of both Mongolian beef made at the same place. You can see how different it looks. Next time I'm just going to call if the dude is gonna make it. Tldr: Mongolian beef is good if the guy makes it.

I ordered Mongolian beef and I paid extra for the beef is very little in the dish. I'm going because traditionally, onions and beef and some spicy peppers, hardly any onions or very little beef and tons of red and green peppers, which is not traditional in the dish. $23. A typical Mongolian beef asked me to nails just wondering if anyone. Very disappointing will not come back. Perhaps are better things that they advertise or that are in there steam trays.

The mall and food court have gone through a lot of changes. The only place I still recognize is Toreros. Frankfurter has been gone for years. Tampopo used to be good Yakisoba, but they closed years ago and the food had been terrible for a couple years before they closed. Jones BBQ packed it up years ago as well. There used to be a decent Chinese place called. Dragons Wok? They had really good food, not sure why they didn't last. I decided to give this place a try, because the lady working here was so nice. The food was okay, but it wasn't at all worth the money. I could have had full service Chinese at Best Wok, that's Soup, Entree, Rice and Appetizer. This place was just entree and rice. The entree was also not traditional. I had Mongolian Chicken, and it's had red peppers, but no green onion or rice noodles. Again, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't close to any Mongolian Beef I've had. For $12 it would have been a deal, but at $15, I needed a cup of soup and an egg roll. I think the mall needs to work on the food court offerings. It's a true ethnic blend, but none of the places here are worth waving a flag for. This food court used draw a crowd, but now it's just convenient for movie goers or M-Soft employees that want to get off campus. It's been about a year since I've been here and I would not be surprised if this place isn't here a year from now. Decent food, but a poor value.

Bought the honey garlic chicken with noodles. Everything was made to order and was delicious. Great portion and service was excellent. Will be back to try other items!

The food was super good! I got the honey chicken and it was perfect! They give large portions and it is not very expensive! Will definitely go back again!

I came here randomly to try some food while walking through the mall, got their tornado potato and the fried pork.The way their food is battered is ...bad, for lack of a better term. It's oddly puffy and flakes apart, instead of being flavorful and part of the dish. (A good fried potato doesn't need extra batter either, so I'm not sure why that one is fried in the first place.)The food I guess was fast, but mostly because no one else was ordering there. I'd recommend trying any of the other shops here, honestly.The only thing I'll add is that I only got two snack dishes. Maybe if I ever get anything else here, I can update my review.

The worst food I've ever had. Two bites and it went into the garbage.Awful!! How it stays in business is beyond me.

If you are a New Yorker or from the tristate area this is the closest you will EVER get to our Chinese food. It was damn Delicious!! They have real duck sauce and soy sauce packets. I'm from Brooklyn so trust me when I say the chicken wings and chicken fried rice is a hit!!!!!!
