If you love tacos as much as we do, you are always on the lookout for a new place to try, and yesterday we noticed Revolu. We stopped in for someLunch and was greeted by a friendly and cheerful Deana that seated us, provided menus and took our drink order. With a lot of options I had to choose carefully and decide which ones I would try on this visit and which would have to wait. I chose the Birria, Barbacoa and the Chicken Tinga. The Birria weals excellent and not greasy as I have had at many other places, was full of flavor and the consommé was perfect. The barbacoa was also juicy and full of flavor, and is one of my favorites when done right, and this one was excellent. Last but certainly not least was the Chicken Tinga, which was juicy and tender and the jalapeño crema added to the flavor. Was very pleased and will be back to try a few other items on the menu for sure, this will be in our regular rotation for sure!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants for years. I am sad to say it doesn't feel like the same restaurant quality at all that it used to be. The decor and atmosphere is still great. The server got us our drinks and food quickly. The guacamole appetizer was really good. The potato taco was overly greasy. The rice had absolutely no flavor or salt and the beans were a paste instead of what I was used to in the past. The sides also taste old and not fresh, and a little cold. The server didn't return at all until 30 or 40 minutes later with the check. I would sadly not want to return. My past two experiences have been negative.

We went for lunch yesterday and it was amazing. All the food was great, the beer was super cold and the staff couldn't have been better. Deena was amazing,as was the trainee and the bartender had an amazing personality. Makes us sad that it isn't our local place anymore, since we moved. The portions were big and ate the leftovers for dinner and the next day for lunch. The tater tot appetizer was the best!

Aloha Hawaiians, Lazy weekend brunch? After work happy hour. I think I've found another gem. Today we have the salsa trio and the chicken fajitas. Remember I love supersized servings. There was enough food for two. Would I come back yes? I need to check out happy hour.I'll let you know more details soon.

Such a great experience grabbing a bite at Revolu! Deena and her husband Jerry took excellent care of us. First we ordered mocktails (I love anything passion fruit) and queso which hit the spot. I had the steak quesadilla which was the perfect level of spice to clear out my sinuses and my coworker ordered the California burrito. It was as big as burrito should be, plenty for a second meal. You can tell they take great pride in their business by the way they talk about it. The wall art is all done by Jerry's brother and was a really sweet touch. We felt so welcomed and can't wait to come back.

Great service. A group of us met here for a mom's night out. Our server handled our large group like a pro. She was attentive, had a positive attitude, joked with us, and made us feel welcomed from start to finish. We never felt rushed. Great happy hour. Happy hour menu is fairly extensive. Lots of drink and food deals to choose from. Their happy hour menu is the size of some places regular menu. I ordered a combination of tacos from the happy hour and regular menu. Tacos are street taco sizes. Creative and fun flavors to choose from. I ordered the Del Mar (battered fish,) chicken tinga, and potato tacos. I absolutely loved the fish and potato tacos. Fish was not greasy. Cabbage was crisp and fresh. There was a slight sweetness. Potato tacos were packed with flavor. The outer shell was light and crispy. Potato insides were creamy. Flavors married well. I wish I had ordered two of the potato tacos. Chicken tinga was not on the same level as the other two. It was kind of there. Quality ingredients, but the chicken tinga just didn't stand out the way the potato and fish tacos did. Drinks were a hit. A solid margarita menu. The adult Caprisuns, (not what they are actually called, but how our server described them to us,) were the talk of the table. Many people ordered them multiple times. Someone asked to customize one. Our server said that that wasn't a problem. Ambiance is modern with traditional Mexican touches. I love the tiles around the bar. Day of the Dead murals/skulls are found in various places throughout. Make sure to get here early. We arrived at 4pm. By 4:15pm the dining area was half full. By 4:30 pm there was a wait. Plenty of parking. The parking lot is shared with AZ Ice and a Pho restaurant.

Absolute must try!Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated. The drinks and food are delicious! We got a pitcher of margaritas and it was perfect, not too sweet, not too strong. The food came out fast and everything was so flavorful. I will definitely be coming back!

Ever since the Covid pandemic occurred, finding a reliable restaurant for the few times my wife and I actually go out, has been an effort. That has not been the case for us at Revolu, and its Peoria location. It is never so busy that we cannot get a table, and that is nice. The menu is amazing and we waste nothing and take home any leftovers to enjoy later. Lately, it is the only restaurant we go to, when it is just the two of us. Sunday night 07/28/2024 was another good example. The waitress was new, about 3 months, Alyssa B. Gentle, kind, young lady, and very patient, as we are both 70+. She took excellent care of us and the bartender served me my first ever Mint Julep. And it went well with my dinner selection of three street tacos with beans and rice. My spouse had a pulled chicken item with purple/pickled onions. Attractive. This place rocks.

My husband and I have a date night every Wednesday night and we come here often. The service and food are consistently great. We usually get the taquitos or queso to start. I love the tacos and have had most of them on the menu. My favorites are the Thai chicken taco, the Korean beef taco and the potato taco. My husband usually goes for the Cali Burrito or a taco and taquitos. He has had the Birria Ramen and liked that also. The drinks are always cold, and they don't skimp on the pour. I highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner or just happy hour.
