Renton Countryside Cafe

We were coming back from a night in Woodinville on Memorial Day and all the cute Woodinville places had huge waits. I started looking for places on the way home and came across this place. My fiance was familiar with it and had been there years ago. There was a wait when we got there, but there were seats opened at the bar so we decided to sit there. Immediately, the owner greeted us and got us some waters. She took our order after that and she checked on us often. The cook staff and the servers were hustling around that place despite the huge crowd. I chose to get a daily special of the Philly Omelet. Wow, it was so good. And huge!! I also tasted my man's bacon and it was perfectly crispy.

A friend of ours, who is local, recommended this small family run restaurant as a meeting place for breakfast. It is unassuming as you drive up. Located in a strip mall front. It was what I would call the little local dive restaurant as we drove up and parked (parking was easy to do). The interior was cozy, filled with lots of tables which were full. As you walk in the door, don't miss the small board highlighting their specials. We sat at a booth and were offered coffee - yes, of course to a cup of coffee. Each coffee cup is unique and mine was a metal camping cup. It went along well with the quirky vibe. Fun! I ordered the pumpkin pancake specials which were tasty! My husband ordered a plate with an omelette, toast, bacon, potatoes. The clear winner --- the raspberry jam that came with the meals! I believe it was a freezer jam and it was so good, and homemade, that we ordered a jar to go when they said they sold it as well. Now I have to laugh a little that it actually didn't come in a jar, but rather a tall (venti sized) plastic cup with a lid. That's ok because we were able to take some home with us to continue to enjoy. The service - polite, friendly and fun! The waitress interacted with our table and we had a great time. I would definitely keep this on my list for when we are in the Renton area again!

First time eating here and probably our last. Nice clean friendly atmosphere. We ordered the country fried steak, corn beef hash with potatoes and pancakes. The country fried steak was cold and soggy which was very off putting. Corn beef and potatoes was gross like they mash everything up together. Both dish was barely warm like it had been sitting too long and there was little to no flavor. Never refilled our drinks. When she finally refilled our drinks she poured water into the kids sprite. SMH

For a breakfast cafe, this is a great place . We are big foodies and everything we had we enjoyed! If you're expecting a fancy brunch with unique offerings, this isn't it. But for normal, breakfast options you will be satisfied. We walked in on a Saturday morning before 10 and seated ourselves per their sign. Someone came over quickly and took our drink orders and our server was very pleasant. We ordered our food soon after and I noticed many tables around us did not have their food yet, so I had a feeling it would be a bit of a wait. I enjoyed a hot chocolate while I waited. After about 15-20 minutes our plates came out and they did forget the berries and cream I wanted on my French toast so they brought sides of it, which was fine. I was craving a sweet breakfast and this was delicious. I ate all but one slice. And the sausage. Yum! Idk what restaurants do to make their sausage the way they do but I just can't replicate it at home. My husband ordered the red velvet waffle and country fried steak and he loved his food as well. For a random drop in we were super pleased and will be back for more. Thankful Renton has a great breakfast option place close to home.

I have been going to the countryside Café since they first opened and usually get the same items that I love today I decided to try their shrimp Louie salad on their special board and it was excellent the shrimp was cooked to perfection with so much flavor and the lettuce and everything was super crispy and fresh. It was absolutely wonderful so refreshing. I Highly recommend thank you Karen for suggesting this and the excellent friendly service welcoming atmosphere!!!

I've been going to plum delicious for years but this just replaced it. My country fried steak was great, and about $4 more affordable. The server was nice and it's right down the street from my mom's. We will be coming back for sure.

This place is a short drive and I have been here a few times. They have a great breakfast and the plates are huge. I usually cannot finish. One of my favorite places for breakfast

A wide array of breakfast selections served up in a warm, cozy corner in a strip mall in Renton. I've gone twice in 2 weeks, and both times I've had superb service. Each time there was one order taker and server, and both ladies were excellent. Kind, warm, sincere, and efficient. The food serving size was generous. I had take out containers at both times, the special that day, red velvet waffles, was really good and tasted like red velvet. I've had scrambled each time and they were very generous with the ingredients. The house mad strawberry jam went perfect with the toast. The pancake was soft and fluffy and tasty. But I'd go back to the service each time. Top notch! I'll be back again soon!

Yummy food, great service! portions were huge!! Ordered the shrimp and mushroom omelette and just half of it filled me up because it was that big! Parking was easy as well.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and we seated ourselves. I started off with water and coffee. The coffee was fine. I ordered the corned beef with scrambled eggs. It took a while to get our food. We waited for like, 30 minutes? The food itself was pretty good. But nothing super exceptional. Service here kinda sucks. We were never really checked up on and it took us foreverrrr to flag someone down just to pay our bill. It just seemed like the employees don't care. Not sure if I'd come back.
