Ok this pastry really hit the spot, it was the right blend of savory meets sweet. Would highly recommend if you need a quick pick me up snack. BUT I think it would taste better heated up, I didn't like it at room temperature. I wish they'd heat them up in the store.

My husband, a couple of friends, my 18 month old daughter, and I all came in ready for some delicious food. And they delivered! After sitting us down with a high chair, they quickly took our order (soup, 4 entrees, some rice, and some bbq pork buns) and almost as quickly, had our order served. It was delicious. Highly recommend the honey walnut shrimp and pork buns. The hot and sour soup was delicious too.Afterwards, we had to try the black forest cake. So yummy! I'd love to try their bubble tea next time!

Fantastic bakery! Boba could use work but pastries are super amazing.Boba is super inconsistent with clumps of boba that is a mix of chewy and soft versus firm. They give a ton of boba too. However it is sweet, which is nice. Some boba is great and some boba is pretty bad so it can be hit or miss with each sip.Hong Kong Milk Tea - strong tea flavor, definitely more authentic and lighter sweetness by default. Also a decent amount of ice but not sure if you can adjust as it's not really a boba shop. Red Bean Mochi - loved how this mochi stretched. Red bean inside was also very generous as you'll immediately get some on a first bite and you don't have to dig for the filling in the middle. Coconut flakes on top add an interesting flavor, but I enjoyed it while I think others may not be as open.Cream Puff - they did not skimp on the cream and it was custard-like. Fluffy even at the end of the day, a must get!Eclair - like a cream puff with a chocolate top so value wise I'd rather three cream puffs. Tasty but not sure I'm a big fan at the price point in comparison to the other pastries.Egg Tart - nearing the end of the day, they weren't as fresh obviously but they were still tasty. If you come later, I highly recommend taking them home to bake a little bit and let the egg custard rise otherwise it may be flat.

The green onion bun/bread is to die for! Anytime I'm in the neighborhood, I stop by to pick up a few. So delicious and very affordable.

I am huge fan of Regent cakes. They have amazing cakes but yes they are pricey. 6inch cake will cost you 40$ while any other bakery you can get a 8inch cake on same price. But I can't put myself away from their awesome cakes. This Regent is huge one with variety of food and drink options . A great place to hang out with friends with amazing dessert. Sometime they don't have much quantity of cakes for the size you need , so I really feel they should make enough cakes so you always have options to pick , so reducing a star. Parking is tough

Their mango mousse cake is a drug! I swear it is. It's around $42 for a large cake and $23 for a small 5 inch cake. So yes, it's a pricey one but it's not your standard grocery store cake. Great hours, and variety of desserts. They also do savoury products but the cake is better.Parking around the bakery is a big challenge, so try and walk or commute in some other way there.

They carry Black Forest cake! Really soft and not too sweet. I had Black Forest for the first time in decades.....it took me back to my childhood! Thank you, Regent!

Revising my review once more. Regent is objectively a 3, an "okay," a "serviceable." The food is good, not great, and I will not be going back again. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Seattle. I've made a few good memories here. It takes very little to ruin a restaurant so...A server was needlessly rude to me, berating me for ordering egg foo young, even though it was no longer on the menu. I've ordered that dish for years, since I found what WAS the best EFY in Seattle. He begrudgingly put in the order and it was served and was delicious. Clearly, the ingredients were in the kitchen and the cook knew how to make it, but the dude copped a major attitude, like I had done something wrong. He could have said no, he could have been nice about it, but he was instead a little bitch. I chalked it up to him having a bad day. I was a full-time server myself for over 20 years and I cut servers a lot of slack. I'm not demanding, but I ask for what I want, and if I can't get it, I pivot. No fuss necessary.Tonight, I came in and had a different server. I asked him if the cook could make egg foo young and he said yes and took my order. A few moments later, he returned and sheepishly informed me that they no longer make it. I asked for a minute to see what else I'd want to order and he left me to the menu.Glancing up, I caught the eye of the little bitch. He had come out from the back and was now at the cash register, shooting me a stinkeye.Again, how unnecessary is this? I gathered my things and walked out and I will not be back.I note that Regent was empty. I was the only patron in the place. I passed several restaurants, all in varying degrees of busy. It was almost 6pm on a Friday. Ramen Danbo had a line. Manao was maybe half full.So here's the thing: Regent has perfectly good, "nouveau Hong Kong" cuisine. In the past, I've enjoyed their noodles, their rice, their duck, their soup, their (very expensive) pastries, but none of it really stands out. The egg foo young stood out as the ONLY high-quality EFY in the city (and I have tried it everywhere). Without this stand-out dish (which I was certainly NOT the only one fanboying over) it's just an okay Chinese restaurant among countless options on the Hill. Had the server not copped an attitude and made clear that he was hostile to me, I'd probably come back and continue to recommend it but life's too short and the Hill has too many great restaurants, many of which actually know how to not abuse customers.Hostile service will ruin an otherwise exemplary restaurant, and Regent is not exemplary. I'm done.

Regent Bakery has really declined - their bakery buns (cocktail, pineapple, cream) have almost zero filling inside - for the price, you're just paying for bread and totally not worth it. Their wife cake is filled with mochi instead of wintermelon, unbelievable. There are way better Chinese bakery choices around.
