I'll start by saying that I gave Redmond Ridge Community Center every chance to make things right. We had our wedding here and originally booked the 5pm-12. We figured an extra hour would be great for our timing both with set up and photography so we asked about that and they have a strict 2 hour minimum that you must book at $175 an hour, no exceptions. The other reason that we booked the time is because it would be less likely that they would book an event to use the facility prior to our wedding. At 9pm the sprinklers came on which were not supposed to come on until after Midnight. This damage our outdoor games, got our guests wet and ultimately forced us to stop what was going on to get everything to safety. It put a damper on the evening and cut the timing of the wedding short. It's not the end of the world but it did suck to have it happen. The way they handled and responded to this issue is a serious issue and something that I would advise everyone to never book your event here. We emailed the manager Amber after the event and explained what happened. Her response, quote "I am so sorry about the sprinklers! They were supposed to have been changed to 12am on the weekends! Thank you for letting me know!" I responded back to the email and called Amber to explain this was not an acceptable way to respond to something like this and she said I would need to talk with the board of directors. I get an email from Sandy Cobb (Association Director) and in short she simply asked what we want. I responded back asking what they think would be a fair response to the problem. Sandy responded by saying it is impossible to put a value on the items that were damaged and what could we do to make things right. I figured with losing several hours and taking damage to our property that half would be fair. Sandy responded back in a very corporate way. She said they are a "small venue run by a non-profit organization" and, "Since you are requesting a 50% refund of your full rental fee, the ROA's Board will need to review your request and make a decision. If you would like to have the Board review your request, please provide a written request for a refund"Wow, I thought that after talking with the manager and being forwarded to the Association Director that I would have given a "written request". I decided to respond back and ask for just a 3 hour refund which is the time we lost so that it would be a simple request. I received our final email: "Because we are a small non-profit, there are only certain liberties that I can take when reviewing requests such as yours. If you were asking for replacement of your games and provided receipts for them, depending on the cost, I might be able to accommodate that request because I can easily explain it and provide documentation of the costs and damaged items. Unfortunately, I cannot explain refunding half of your rental fee or 3 hours, especially since they were for the last 3 hours of your event and some of that time would have been needed for cleaning and removal of your items."At this point I figured it's time to throw in the towel and give up. I don't want to spend any more time on this and it only seems to be getting more complicated and formal, especially for a small run non-profit. However, she wasn't wrong that some time would be needed to clean up, and there is also time to set-up. Our wedding was planned for 6:30-11pm and taking the last hour to clean. 4 and a half hours, 2 of the 4 1/2 hours were lost. Ultimately, it wouldn't have mattered if the sprinklers came on during our ceremony outside. They have shown absolutely no desire to give up a penny without the lengthy process that I just mentioned. For timing information our wedding took place early in August when you can still enjoy the outdoors later in the evening.ConclusionIf you're willing to risk something going wrong this place might be the place for you. Just remember that if anything goes wrong, you can be made whole with an "I'm sorry" in an email. I cut this review short due to Yelp's review character limit.

I rented this facility for my daughters Sweet 16 birthday and had a wonderful experience. The pricing is very reasonable considering what other spaces charge. The person who complained about not having tables cloths was way off. Because the price is so reasonable, it would be understandable why they are not included, and most folks want to rent their own anyway. Because I enjoyed the space so much, we are now having my son's wedding there. It is a smaller affair, but we love the intimacy of the space. It is in a beautiful setting. Since the prices are so reasonable we have rented the whole building to avoid others booking the space at the same time. I will post pictures after the event so you can see how to make it work for you.

So I wanted to leave something nice because I had a great experience and ppl tend to be negative on here.My husband and I had our reception here on March 21st 2015My only complaint was that the entertainment center thing.... doesn't have an hdmi hook up. I spent like $70 to buy the right converters for the sound system.Besides that...... WOW. The location is stunning, the space is perfect, the price is unbeatable. $75-$90 bucks per hour to rent out a beautiful space like this one..... you can't beat that.My guests loved the space and couldn't stop talking about it. The gal there, Tami, is very on top of emailing reminders and has good follow up.This space is ideal for smaller wedding receptions (100-200), especially great for planning on a budget. I did my entire reception for $2500, including cost of alcohol. They only hold a security deposit check, no money up front, just pay renting fee 2 weeks before event.PS, to the other review on here who inspired me to download the yelp app just to make a point.... little miss Tiphanie T..... you should change your name to Negative Nancy..... less than have of your review is even accurate as far as info goes..... your just bashing someone because you are a mean person. You haven't written a single nice comment on yelp.

We used the Redmond Ridge Community Center for our wedding in October. From the start, Amber and Sandy were nothing but helpful. They were always ready to problem solve and made sure all our questions were answered. We appreciated how relaxed they were with the building and how willing they were to allow us to have our day how we wanted it. They don't require professional vendors or force you to use an in-house caterer, which saved us thousands in planning our day. The building and area itself are beautiful. We got tons of compliments on how beautiful the venue was. We can't recommend this place enough. Book your wedding here!

Not a good experience with the staff. Needed to view the place, called to say we would be 15 minutes late due to traffic jam, they told us ok np. Came 15 min late and nobody was there. We offered to wait for them to come back, they didn't want to. We asked if they could accommodate to meet as at a later time the next day, they said no, we asked for a video call at the least, at their convenience, they said no. I left my infant and my toddler and my meetings to rush down and see the place. It was a very strange experience. You need to let them know a month in advance and we had one day to let them know if we will book. They were super rude, not accommodating at all. And after I complained about Amber to Sandy, instead of an apology or any way to accommodate us, I got confrontational emails. This staff is extremely unprofessional and after reading some more reviews about them on Facebook I'm glad that it didn't work out. I would not trust to do a special event at this place due to really bad customer service.

We recently rented the Redmond Ridge Community and Events Center for a family party. The staff was great in making sure we understood how to use everything. We made sure our guests did not use the rooms we did not rent/pay for. We also made sure our guests' children respected the building. The bathrooms are newly renovated and the kitchen equipment fit our needs. Parking was plentiful. Our guests loved the wrap around porch and woodland and park setting! We were in and out of the building as specified in our contract and received our full deposit back within the stated times!BRAVO!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I did one of my events here. As I had read in reviews, I knew that they could keep people's deposit money. Knowing this, I met with one of their staff members, asked about every detail and how to avoid being charged, and did my best to do everything they told me. Still, they kept $100 from my deposit, saying we left the venue half an hour after the time allotted to us. I sent many messages informing them that we left the venue in time. One of these messages explained that the last call I did to my caterer after leaving was at about 10:00. We had to exit the venue at 10:10. Still, they kept my money. I don't know how they decided things. If they want to charge extra money, they should not say that our deposit is refundable. Either they should say it is non-refundable or charge more for the venue itself. That way, people won't feel cheated after the party is over. Otherwise, the venue was beautiful. They asked me to go to the board council and I felt I had spent enough time talking to them while it was worth nothing. I decided to skip the board meeting. It's not a matter of my $100, it felt that they didn't pay attention to what I told them, they just decided on what they thought was right.

I threw my Aunt a 100 yr Birthday party at Redmond Ridge Community Center and it was perfect!! I had just under 100 guests and many of them also commented on the place being so open, clean and laid out just right. My caterer made good use of the kitchen and we used the smaller two rooms for the buffet. The entertainment/sound system worked great although we had a bit of trouble in the beginning (couldn't find the audio cord and then it magically appeared) and once we found that it fell into place. The instructions were spot on for hooking everything up.Tami and the Staff at Redmond Ridge were wonderful...Tami goes through everything with you not just once but a couple of times so everyone understands and are on the same page. This place is well worth the price....and really reasonable compared to other places in the area. My only very small complaint (and part was my fault for having used the Association address not the Center) is that they could use a small directional sign pointing into the parking lot. The center is north of the driveway and some of my guests didn't see it. However....THIS was a great place that fit my needs, cost and décor. I highly recommend it.

The staff at the Redmond Ridge Community Center is incredible! When meeting to discuss our wedding reception, the staff was very professional and very helpful. The facility is spectacular and a real bargain for this area. Other reception venues are in the thousands. We are lucky to have such a wonderful location with an outstanding staff on the Eastside!
