Red Wok Buffet

I've been here a lot, I'm surprised I haven't reviewed yet.I more often get a styro to go which is weighed by the pound. $4.99 without seafood, $5.99 with. If you just have a representative seafood item, you get charged $5.99, so if you're getting seafood, LOAD UP! There's a sign on the plexiglass with the breakdown so please read it.Delicious items, the noodles are standard spaghetti which is disappointing, but with 2 pounds out the door you can fill up the styro decently. I do a shallow rice bed, and put meats and veggies on top. Potstickers, little eggrolls, a few seasoned fries, a small slice of garlic bread to top it off....Get a variety, that's the beauty of this buffet. If you want to eat in, the price is nice. They have proper sushi which has great eye appeal, as well as grilled items. Choose your grilled items wisely, the pork ribs are a bit stiff but the glaze is nice. Steak is OK, not wild. Kiddie food also available (kids please eat your veggies too, there are some good ones there!). The seafood variety is nicely done too, they have big shrimp, mussels, clams, baked salmon, a whitefish, and fried fish bits as well. Maybe calamari? I didn't notice today, I wasn't doing the seafood to go. My only complaint? Such a weird item but they WERE delicious with the sauce they were in. I can only deduce that these were pigeons on steroids. Pigeon drums. If these were actual chickens, they were culled as adolescents. See photo. Freaky. A sense of shame and guilt overcame me while I ate them.....like I should have a white cloth over my head to hide from God.

I paid just over $18 at this Chinese AYCE buffet. You pay upon entering, and they seat you. The buffet is huge. There is a regular buffet area, along with a dessert area. They have a large selection of Chinese and other Asian foods. They also have a small mix of Mexican and American food. I ate mostly the deep fried head-on shrimp and the char siu pork ribs. The shrimp was crispy on the outside with a nice seasoning that tasted more Cajun than Chinese. The pork ribs were on the thin side, but you could get as much as you wanted. The flavor was perfect. I tried the deep fried crab legs. The flavor was similar to the deep fried shrimp, but it was much more of a chore to eat. I also tried the bao and dumplings. They were also good. The staff is continually roaming the area to fill the trays and to make sure your soda, or water, is filled. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely come back to try other items.

I've been going here periodically for some years now. It's a decent buffet. In the past two years they have enhanced it for the better as far as remodeling goes. The food is good--the price is decent. The service is sufficient: they are always good about remembering refills. All in all 4 out of 5 stars.

Probably the best buffet in all of Phoenix.We came in on a Sunday and half the church crowd in the city must have been there. But the food was still hot and plentiful. The food is actually tasty, which can't be said of many buffets. It had been too long since I had been back here. I won't make the mistake again. The spread is wide and arrayed with lots of standard Chinese plates available. The extras, including the grill, and American dishes make it certain you will eat to much.The price may convince you that you don't need to over eat to feel like you got your value.

Must be a good to spot with the family . As always great food and service and nice and clean. Price is good no matter what. It's a go to spot now with the family.

The food wasn't really good. It was dirty. It was disorganized. My family's first and last time.

The multiple roaches were awesome.. super friendly! Disgusting and overpriced unless they were charging extra for the roaches.

I've eaten here a few times and thought it was decent but my last visit will be my last. I arrived for dinner during a busy weekend. Had to pay first and wait to be seated. Finally get called by the hostess, led back to a table in the back which has not been cleaned and was more than a little dirty. She says it will be cleaned and go ahead and enjoy. So I make my first trip to the buffet taking my time, and get back to find my table is still dirty with no bussers in sight. What am I supposed to do ? Sit down at a dirty table with my food and ignore the filthiness ? Or stand up and begin eating until they get time to clean the table ? I did neither. I sat my plate of food down, walked back to the front counter and got a refund after explaining my problem. They seemed confused as to why I'd want a refund. This restaurant is chaos.

I usually don't do reviews but this place to eat at "RED WOK BUFFET " earned this review with a generous one When they run out of food and inquired if they will replenish the food thru an interpreter , the generic answer was will be put out in a little while. The food never was brought out after close to one hour wait . Don't tell me in a public restaurant you run out of food in a buffet when that is the design and principle of all you can eat place and can't provide. Again Save yourself time and money , find a different location . If you can get over to Hibachi Buffet in Mesa 100xs better . Good luck
