This was quite a pleasant surprise. Being in the heart of SD means I have a LOT of options when it comes to fine dining, but last night I sacrificed a quality (or so I thought) dining experience to shop with my friend before she departed for her flight home. By the time we finished it was already after 9pm and many restaurants stop service from the kitchen. My friend told me to try the restaurant at our hotel, because she was pretty sure they stayed open until 10pm. We jammed back, and by the time I was placing an order, it was 9:30pm. The young lady at the front counter was helping another guest, but never once made me feel like I was a "last minute shopper." I ordered a filet, sans the potato (darn keto), and asked for it to go. I ended up taking it back to my room and guys.... I could not BELIEVE how perfectly my medium rare filet was cooked. Seriously, perfect. The edges were perfectly seared with the crust that holds the best flavors, and my center pink was amazing. The wild trumpet mushrooms and kale was delish. It looked soggy in my to-go container, but was not! I just got dressed to go out for dinner on my own, and decided I'm going to stay "in" instead and order from Red Marlin. Maybe the filet again? Maybe something else?

I came here for a Friday morning breakfast as I was staying at the hotel. It is a breakfast buffet with plenty of options. I was seated quickly after arriving and went to grab my food. I had the eggs, pancakes, potatoes and oatmeal. All the items were as I expected. They also do omelets and non scrambled eggs, but you have to order that through your server. I was in a rush, soI opted to not. Ultimately, the buffet made it easy for me to grab a quick breakfast. I would not mind going back. The place is on the water and has a great view.

It was my Husband's birthday, we stayed there at the Hyatt Regency . When we checked in they told us about the Happy Hour. Well we ended up staying there for dinner. Zack the Head bartender was so knowledgeable and kind. We ate outside by the bar, he always checked up on us. Loved his service, it is rare to get that anywhere these days. I recommend the Hotel and the Red Marlin 5 stars for me.

During our stay at Hyatt Mission Bay we have breakfast 2 days in a row here. When you go over info from the TV intro about the Dining option and suggest we make a reservation before going. Last time we were here during the July 4th weekend we waited close to 2 hours for a party of 6. This time we are here with a party of 4. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were quickly escorted to a seating area near the corner of the Ocean View. We asked if we could switch to the center of the restaurant and were rejected by the receptionist with the reason there isn't enough server. It was a buffet style breakfast. After about 5 minutes into the meal, we start seeing receptionists taking people to fill the Center area of the Ocean View. Food was decent. The only strange thing is that it has all the topping ingredients for smoked salmon but there is no smoked salmon. I guess you can put them in bagels instead. Waiters and busboys were all really great. After the meal we decided to talk with the manager and voice about not letting us take the seats while it was pretty empty and there were 1 to 2 tables already occupying the space. The manager was very nice and took our advice, upon the 2nd visit, we were placed at the very center of the restaurant without asking and greeting the manager and asking if there is anything they can do while we stay at the hotel. Our guest and ourselves were happy that they took the advice and the waiter that served us was exceptional. It would have been a 5 stars visit due to the exceptional waiter service and decent food.

Had a good experience! Had 3 servers assisting me for some reason. They were on top of it. The food was good. Caesar salad was ok even though wasn't cut up. The view at the restaurant is great since it is right on the water.

Came at 11:24 AM the place last seating is 11:30 AM the staff was kind enough to seat me. Ordered the Marina breakfast with over easy eggs and buttermilk pancakes. The Marina breakfast came with choice of toast, butter, and strawberry jam. Eggs came out over easy as requested. The pancakes were very good and I really liked the strawberry jam with the toast. The staff checked up on me twice and were very friendly. Definitely worth going to for breakfast haven't tried the dinner yet.

I wouldn't bother. I understand this is very convenient and that's why I ended up here if you're staying at the hotel it seems like a reasonable choice, especially when you consider the fact that it has a lovely view and it's a throwback to the mid century in a very charming way, the people that worked there, pretty nice. The service wasn't terrible. However, the food was mediocre at best and the prices were exorbitant for four people. It was $300. two of those people were children and didn't eat much. I didn't even have any drinks that's right after tip $300 so many better options in San Diego, you have the ambition to leave the hotel. .I highly recommend this place new management because if you're gonna charge those prices, you better bring excellent food at a minimum as it turned out we ventured out and had superior food for half the price I wouldn't even bother breakfast was $85 by the way that for three people.
