Red House

Charming, friendly, and delicious - the Red House is just what the doctor ordered if you're looking for all these qualities in one place. Set up in an actual house in a Renton neighborhood, each room in the Red House feels intimate and inviting, even when the house is packed on a busy night. The waiters and waitresses are unfailingly nice, and the food and drink on offer are excellent. While I was slightly disappointed to learn that the "basket of Brussels" I'd seen in pictures was a seasonal dish and not available when I was there, the grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and salad I had more than made up for it - flavorful and filling. We stopped by the Red House on a whim because we were in the neighborhood. I'm already looking forward to trying it again - hopefully next time when the Brussels are in season!

What a cute place. Its a super old house, built in the 1920s, you can still see the original floor. Seating is divided by what used to be rooms and they have an upstairs as well. Only downside is they can only accommodate groups of 8 or less.the lunch menu isn't as large as the dinner menu but still enough choices for even the pickiest eater. I opted for a brie grilled cheese with this amazing berry compote. Absolutely delicious. Choice of sides were fries, sweet potato fries or a salad. My friend got a wedge salad and you should have seen the size of it. Two huge wedges with chicken and other toppings. Needless to say she could only eat half.they have a bar as well although since it was lunch with had iced tea. Felt sort of bad for the restaurant since there is construction right in front and the server said it would continue until May. Not to worry they are open and there is a parking lot right in front of the building.

My friend and I went to Red House for lunch. My friend had the Grilled Ribeye Sandwich and I got the Tequila Shrimp - both are really good! Our server was prompt and friendly.

If I could give zero stars I would. Called to place an order for takeout...didn't know they did do not takeout...woman who answered the phone said "we don't do takeout" and immediately hung up the phone. Very rude and unprofessional. Will not dine here anymore.

These folks know how to run a restaurant. Great atmosphere and great food. It seems like a huge proportion of the food is made from scratch.

My friends and I came here for dinner. The atmosphere was intimate, cozy, and not too loud, so we could talk without shouting. The food was pretty good. We were challenged because I'm vegan and my friend has several food allergies, so there wasn't much we could have. My only options were two salads, removing the cheese. I got the Winter Salad without cheese and asked if they could add the chickpeas from the Poached Pear Salad, which they did but charged me $2 for it. That seemed unnecessary since they didn't take off any money for the cheese. Our server was very sweet and attentive. She did a wonderful job!

Food was fantastic! Got the steak frites, my friend got the ribeye burger and my mom got the mushroom and artichoke heart pasta and it was delicious, our server was very kind and everything came extremely quickly, and the restaurant was beautiful.

What's up Yelpies, If you're looking for a down earth, place to chill with a great environment and amazing food, no further staff are amazing they know the menu and make good food recommendations. They are absolutely on point you can't go wrong with this place. So quit reading this and get over there and eat or drink whatever your pleasure they will have it.

We booked on Wednesday for a Friday night date night and it did not disappoint! They had a table reserved for us inside but one opened up on the patio so we opted for that instead. There are a couple outdoor eating areas but we were seated on the deck. The lower outdoor eating area is wheelchair accessible. My husband did go inside at one point and said it has fun decor/vibe. Our server was very friendly and provided excellent service. She mentioned our food might take a while to come out but it really didn't take long at all. We managed to come during happy hour so my husband had a $3 beer and I had the cherry limeade (non-happy hour).We ended up ordering the mushroom bruschetta, pork and kimchi tacos, and filet mignon + crab cake. We were pleasantly surprised with how fantastic the food turned out! This was plenty of food for the two of us so we did end up taking some home. My favorite was the mushroom bruschetta and the crab cake from the entree. There is a crunchy deep friend coating around a generously portioned crab cake that has a good amount of crab vs. filler inside. It was fluffy and flavorful so I ate a majority of it. The tacos were delicious too with a decent amount of pork (there could have been a bit more kimchi). We ordered the filet as medium and it still came out very tender. We will definitely be back and see it as a fun place to come as a group for drinks and good food.

Red House was recommended to my partner and I and we're so glad it was! There's free parking out front and the restaurant has a lovely patio and cozy interior where you can dine in or grab a drink. The staff were all amazing! They were super kind, accommodating, and very friendly.Now onto the food and drinks! For drinks we ordered an IPA, New York Sour, Mystery Shots, and Baja Blast w/ Bourbon which were all delicious. For food we had Tequila Shrimp, Smoked Brisket Plate, Crispy Pork Shank, and Crème Brûlée. Everything tasted amazing! The shrimp was plump, cooked perfectly, and paired well with the garlic bread. Brisket was tender, pork shank was indeed crispy, and the dessert was delightful!
