Ray's Pizza

I'd say the pizza and the service are "NY style" so don't bitch about the family not being perky hospitality school graduates and enjoy the food. You have to know they care about serving you great food. I pass at least 3 or 4 pretty good pizza places to come here almost every Friday.And I can only RAVE about the Pizza at this Ray's. The pizza- both Neapolitan and Sicilian - is consistent and perfect! The fold, the crunch, high-quality cheese and plentiful toppings on the NY style are the best. The Sicilian crust is flavorful, airy and crisp on the bottom- yum! And I love that I can always get one slice of my white pizza or one slice of Sicilian for my MIL if the rest of us are eating Neapolitan that night.

The white lady with dark hair and a wrist tattoo had an attitude, I came in with my dad and we had ordered 2 pizzas. She tried to box them separately but then stated she wanted to save boxes so we had to use 1 box to take our 2 pizzas to go. In other words, stack our greasy pizzas on top of each-other. And there was no shortage of boxes. We were nice left a tip and she was just really rude and trying to make our experience there bad. And well it worked. We'll be going elsewhere with our business until they get better customer service. Also check out the attached photo, where you can see all the boxes , probably because shes been "not wasting them" imagine spending your money at a business that tells you you cant have a to go box? So bizarreNow the owner is stating we ate it there and not to go, great owner siding with the rude employee. I had 1 bite inside and had to take the rest of the pizza to go, which again, caused my pizzas to stick to eachother when I had to stack them in one to go box. I would say hire better employees but this is how the owner runs his business. Will recommend everyone I know to go to barros

We have been to Ray's multiple times. We are from Iowa but every time we are in Arizona we drive out of our way to eat here! Love that you can add toppings to your slice of pizza. Excellent sauce and crust too. Highly recommend!

2.9/5. Ordered for take out. My go to pepperoni and pineapple large. Service was great and clean. Heat of the pie traveling home less than 5 miles was good. I personally think it had too much cheese for my taste. I've experienced that before from a different pie house. Sauce was not too sweet or herby. I feel I have had better pepperoni slices. I am a fan of Neapolitan style New York pizza. Long hot chewy folding slices with the right amount of char. This place did have that and was very satisfied. I suggest going to your local spots and stay away from your cardboard deliveries. Give these places a try. Way better ingredients and worth the prices.

I can't believe I haven't already left a review for this place! But Ray's Pizza, specifically this location, is THE best pizza in the entire state of Arizona. I've been coming here since I was a kid. And although I've never lived near a Rays, I will always go out of my way to come here if I'm even slightly in the vicinity! The owners are some of the sweetest people I've ever met, and they greet me with a smile every time I come in. I've been bringing as many of my friends and roommates as I can lately, and they always treat them with the same amount of love that they treat me, which is incredibly valuable to me. The actual vibe of the place is fantastic as well. Very calm, soothing lighting with a very classically decorated space. And my favorite booth is almost always open. I truly hope more people discover this absolute gem of a spot, because they'll have my loyalty until the end of time!

When it comes to NY style pizza I am all in and Ray's hits the mark. Yes, this is the Ray's you've heard about. If you've ever grabbed a slice while walking down 73rd St in Manhattan this will take you back. If you haven't, this is as close as you can get in the desert. There are always several pies ready to choose from and that oven is rockin'! Friendly folks behind the counter who know how to keep the line moving. You'll feel like you're in the Big Apple if you dine in. There is plenty of seating and even a few outdoor tables of the weather permits. Love it!

I should have written this review years ago - it really is the best of the best. One of the best things I can say about Ray's is that they are consistent. Whether you are eating in Phoenix, Scottsdale, or New York! Their pizza is always fabulous and you know exactly what you were going to get. Their wings are good as well, plus garlic, knots, and their salad if you feel like pretending to be healthy that day. They've been a staple in our family for years.

I'm here a few times a month, usually for lunch and a couple of times to get dinner to go. LOVE their pizza. I always like to get a little extra crispy on my pies. The flavor is top notch as well as the service. You can tell this place has been here for decades as it has that look and smell (a good smell) when you walk in.It's in an odd spot in a strip mall, but I'll take it because it's close to work.D. Licious.

Great pizza. Delicious sauce, savory cheese. WAS AWESOME !!! Check it out folks !!! You won't be disappointed.
