This place is horrid. How are they even still around, and more importantly, how can they afford to pay rent here?? The tomato basil soup was a disgrace. I should have taken a picture of it because it had this texture and appearance that after my first bite, I knew I'd come down with something fierce if I consumed even a tad bit more. The "toasted" turkey sandwich was a joke and poorly thrown together. If I wanted to flush $15 down the drain, I would have at least used one of the nice washrooms in Columbia tower to do this rather than risk my life consuming food from here.

A reuben that is not grilled? No thanks!Stopped by ray's when I saw the special of the day was a reuben. this is my favorite sandwich. Tried them over the entire country. This is the first and only time I had one on toasted rye. That is like serving a grilled cheese on toasted bread. It just is not done. I gave the place 2 stars because the sandwich tasted fine, it just did not taste like a reuben.

I had a surprising good breakfast burrito from Ray's deli. The place that made me a breakfast burrito in another office building was atrocious, so it is good that I have this option. This one had meat and eggs and salsa and sour cream. It ended up being moist without being sloppy and runny. Tortilla they used to wrap it was pretty good and didn't get soggy or dried out from a microwave or anything. It was clearly made to order, as were the constituent pieces of it (i.e., the eggs were not pre-cooked, etc.). They also have some interesting goodies tucked away in little alcoves you might not otherwise see. I found some interesting potato chips that looked like a company in Colorado or something. So that was pretty cool too.So when I need a breakfast and am hankering for something other than the piroshky next door, Ray's will be my go to.

If you are hungry at Columbia Tower and you walk in and see Specialty's--just keep walking. Why overpay and overwait when Ray's is just 3 steps more? A sandwich at Ray's runs anywhere from $5.50 and up. I get their California Club for $6.70 (with tax). It's a huge sandwich and really fills you up all the way to dinner. Also, unlike other places in Columbia Tower, this place is by far the quickest. Between ordering and getting my order, it's about 5 minutes. You can't beat that!Today when I was there, my order got lost (which was the first time of the many times I had been there). Luckily, one of the employees took note after about 5 minutes, and immediately got my order ready. He also apologized profusely and gave me a free cookie! I love a local business that values their customers. You better believe that if you're waiting 20 minutes for a Specialty's sandwich (because that is the standard wait time if you don't pre-order online) and they lose your order, you're not getting a free cookie!

Ray's kicks Specialty's white-bread, crappy-service ASS. Locally owned and operated by the people who care about it, the service is better, the food is superior, and the prices are better besides.Located in the northwest corner of the lower level of the Columbia Tower food court, you have to walk past Specialty's to get to it... and it's absolutely worth it to do so!From hot bagel sandwiches in the morning to cold or hot sandwiches at lunchtime, soup, coffee, and the like, this place does all the deli standards with great care and competence. They serve Boar's Head brand cold cuts (delicious) and home-roast their turkey. Their soups are usually outstanding. I hear the coffee is good (I am not a coffee drinker). They have a wide selection of bagged chips and canned/bottled cold drinks too, and offer fruit and green salads. The Asian ladies at the counter are friendly and polite. When you become a regular, they are extra-nice to you, but I've never encountered any bad attitude.I don't work in Seattle Municipal Tower anymore, but I miss Ray's.

First visit to Ray's today, based on other reviews. I agree with others that the food was pretty good, quick and decent value. But a couple of oddities: I tried to order a Veggie toasted sandwich...nope, they were all out (how do you run out of all veggies?). Also, they put their sandwiches in plastic containers and then hand them to you in a plastic bag. Why not just wrap them in paper? Both are then compostable and better for the environment.

I love this place! They have really good prices and their sandwiches are always made very neat and their ingredients always taste very fresh. I was so happy to find a place that gives you a pickle with your sandwich! And they have a good selection of chips.

Awesome little mom and pop deli in the Columbia Tower next to Specialties. This is the owner. He's really nice. I've been coming here for breakfast samiches for years. Sausage Bacon Egg Cheese on an everything bagel is $5.50. Credit cards accepted over $4. The owner and his son both work here and maybe other family too. Buy Local! Thanks for breakfast! I work several blocks away and I love this place. I've worked downtown for 7 years. They Have a great selection for lunch sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches. You might want to get there before eight in the morning in order to get the bagels. This is a way better deal than specialties. Enjoy!

Checked out Ray's Deli in the Columbia Tower food court, pretty good sandwich spot. It's tucked away in the corner near the Mexican food spot, and Specialty Bakery.Smiley greeting as I walked up, they do have specials of the day posted so check those out. I decided to get the Jerk Turkey BLT sandwich of the day. Your choice of bread, most likely they will have whatever bread you want. Be sure to tell them if you want mayo/mustard etc. Bread is toasted, not buttered if that matters to you. Good amount of meats, it's Boar's Head brand so it was pretty tasty. The BLT part was fine and fresh. They do offer other items like salads, drinks, chips and cookies. I think I saw soup too. Overall, it's a good spot to get a sandwich, prices are great, and staff was nice and it's always good to support a good ol' mom & pop shop.
