I ordered al pastor fries and added jalapeños. The portion was big and they gave a good amount of meat, guacamole, and jalapeños. The fries themselves are cut a bit big for my liking, and also could've used a little more time cooking. Besides that, the overall flavor was pretty solid.The salsas were a bit of a letdown, since the habanero and verde were both very liquidy, and the spicy salsa was overly tomato-flavored. The chunky salsa was probably the best, due to the fact that it was the one that wasn't runny.One strange thing about these fries was that the cheese was all melted at the bottom of everything--not sure how that happened, but it definitely made things less than ideal.

Love their Tuesday taco specials haven't found a place around that season the meat like they do!Try their carnitas tacos and asada they are one of the best taco places around UTC - Clairemont I had, their portions are big and prices relatively reasonable for the amount they serve on each plate.Family owned business so I try to support as much as possible! And their customer service makes you want to comeback.

This review is only for their breakfast burrito which is massive! I got the sausage egg cheese and added potatoes. I ended up splitting the burrito in two because it was so filling. There was so much egg, definitely worth the price. They also have a salsa bar and it's fully loaded. I would recommend coming here for breakfast! Seems like a local favorite.

I'm pretty confused by the low ratings. For Ramon's. The tacos were huge for the price. The carnitas were very good, better than the carne asada. The guacamole was just okay and would rather it not be served on nachos. Overall would go again for the carnitas tacos and the value.

I love their carna asada fries. The only problem is that the fries and meat taste cheap, also the fries are full of oil. It still tastes good though. Service is decent and ambiance is also pretty good.

We just moved to the area and were told about Ramon's. We ordered four meals including two burritos, a cheese quesadilla, and we thought we'd try something new: mulitas. We ordered and picked up, place was nice and clean, and overall, well maintained. Sadly, the food was underwhelming. We thought it might have been that we didn't give a 20% tip when we ordered online for pickup (we gave 15%)? Hard to say, but overall, not recommended. They said the quesadilla came with guacamole but when we got it home, we'd received sour cream instead. And the mulitas looked appetizing but definitely not what was advertised online! It was very dry, the meat was burned (half of it was inedible), and definitely not enough cheese. I LOVE supporting small businesses and rarely give a negative review (as you can tell in my profile) but this place was definitely not up to par.

Tied this place when it opened and they were horrible, figured it was new so gave it a few, tried again...disappointed again. Is there anywhere in UC that has decent Mexican food without having to drive to clairemont? These guys can't even get a bean and cheese right. Cheese was cold and not close to melted. The beans were tasteless and the habanero sauce is weak. And don't bring up Primos as they aren't any better... someone please open a Sombreros or something here please I beg you!!!

Love this place. Super clean and the food tastes amazing. Their tacos and burritos are my favorite. They do not skimp with their food and the staff are very nice. I don't go anywhere else for Mexican food anymore!! I can't forget to mention how amazing the house sauce is I've never had anything like it before

Very disappointed at most recent visit. Rolled tacos were very soggy and the ample amount of lettuce they used to add was now minimal. An Unappealing let down.

Ramon's breakfast burrito was stuffed full of sausage, ham, bacon, potatoes, and cheese. Also had tacos/rice/beans. Everything was so good, we'll be back to try the Cali breakfast burrito for sure. Service was prompt and friendly!
