When Ramen Misoya first opened, tables were at a premium, and there's a good reason for that: this suburbs spot truly hits the right notes for a simple ramen concept that gets the basics right.Try the chicken karaage for a treat. 90% of the time, it comes out perfect, and 100% of the time you'll probably find it superior to what you're used to.

Got the Hokkaido Cha-Shu Ramen for $18.80 and small order of Karrage. I'm not a miso flavored fan, but definitely enjoyed their version without any reservation. The service was awesome, food came out quickly and water was filled without asking for more water. They have bar seating that goes around the kitchen and tables on the opposite side. I got here before 5 and it wasn't busy but the place got packed little after 5pm, so I would recommend you go before dinner rush.

Didn't visit for years after Covid. Seems they changed the all the ramens. Before regular ramen will come with two slides pork, now it only came with the braises pork. If you want sliced pork, you have to order ChaShu $19.3 to have three slices. Before pandemic they gave you 5 slices. I understood it is parts of inflation but come on. Don't you feel this is way too much. Will never come back. There are more reasonable price ramens around.

Hokkaido cha shu ramen was a decent portion. The cha shu is not too soft, nor too hard. Nice orange tint to the egg yolk I only wish it was more runny. The noodles have a sturdy, chewy texture. The pork mince had a mushy texture and tasted salty. Both the corn and the bamboo shoots have a can taste to them.

I had an exceptional experience at this authentic ramen shop! The virtual menu with photos of each ramen bowl was a convenient and visual way for customers. The variety of options and the ability to customize toppings added a personal touch to the experience.I highly recommend the crispy potato croquette!! I got the vegetarian ramen, I was thoroughly impressed by the depth of flavors. My friend chose the most popular ramen on the menu, and we both devoured our bowls until we were very full. The interior of the shop maximizes the space to accommodate as many tables and chairs as possible. I especially recommend this place to those in the suburbs. If you're seeking authentic and flavorful ramen, this spot is a gem that shouldn't be missed!

We came here for an early dinner. This is about the fourth time I've been here. The place was empty but was packed by the time we left. We had croquettes and fried oysters for appetizers and the chashu ramen for the main. Everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Location and parking are not ideal but do not deter me from coming back each time.

Ramen was really good but the fried shrimp is what made it for me. Especially the sauce. Service was fast and waitress was on top of everything.

The food was amazing! Definitely start by going on Yelp and joining the waitlist. The small little restaurant does tend to fill up fast on Friday-Sunday evenings. The service is fast and the waitress had great options for us vegetarian folks! It is quiet enough for a conversation but can feel congested for sure as it is a small space. I hope they will get a bigger space so everyone can sit and enjoy! The menu is all online so we pre-looked at it prior to going but quickly changed based on her recommendations. Please give this little mom and pop place a try! Winter is here Chicagoans and what better time than ramen!

I stopped by Ramen Misoya because I happened to be in the area, a rare occurrence. I like that that they are focused on the miso broths unlike seemingly every other ramen joint which focuses on tonkotsu broths. This last time I went, I ordered the Hokkaido Chashu Ramen because it was chilly out and some warm miso broth sounded delightful. I also got extra ramen egg because I was very hungry. The noodles have a great texture and the broth has a nice, strong miso flavor. The chashu that came were in relatively thin slices but they were flavorful and tender. Unfortunately, my ramen broth was very salty and made it unenjoyable for me to sip the broth as I usually like to. Furthermore, the ramen egg seemed to be a bit overcooked with some yolk that has clearly turned a light yellow color. This ended up making the experience overall somewhat disappointing. I did try my friend's ise miso broth and preferred that over mine.Service was fine given they were at full capacity. They do get quite busy so be prepared to wait for a table! When you walk in, the lobby area feels quite dated and only has a few chairs. I would prefer waiting in the car... and the dining area itself is perhaps in need of a remodel also. Prices are good since their portion sizes are generous. Unless I'm really feeling miso ramen again I think I'll just go to Santouka in the Mitsuwa Marketplace nearby.Food: 3/5Service: 3.5/5Price: 4/5Ambiance: 3/5Overall: 3/5

One of my favorite spots in the area. Every time I have someone in from out of town I take them here and they love it. The spicy Hokkaido and curry ramen are my two favorites. Extremely rich and flavorful broth.
