If you love sushi and ramen this is your spot to check out hence the name of the restaurant. The food, service, and place itself was delicious. Was well taken care of by Jin and every item we ordered has flavort She memorized our order without even writing it down which was impressive! The prices are reasonable and not over priced especially with ramen and sushi in this economy. Great place in a little shopping plaza center when you get hungry.Definitely loved the rolls we ordered which was the Luvluv, Roll land, and In n Out shrimp. They are generous with the seafood portion in every bite. The other items we ordered like the spicy black ramen, chicken teriyaki bowl, and fried oysters were good as well!Must check out this spot and support small business!! Will be back when were in the area!

I had the ramen here a few times it's pretty good. If you ask for chili or hot sauce they charge you extra. I don't recommend the sushiI had the cucumber roll it was falling apart before I could put it in my mouth the ponzu sauce is too sweet, and they use crushed tuna.

Yelp let me down with this one. This ain't it. I gag thinking about the rolls. It's a great reminder that yelp can't always be trusted everyone has different taste. My Midwest husband said it was aiite but hell to the naw for me who's Asian and treks to convoy for Asian food. The sushi was reminiscent of a Chinese buffet that also made sushi. The presentation is lovely but that's about it.

I took a drive north this past weekend and ended up at the Encinitas Village Shopping Center where this casual Japanese eatery was located. The business name was very straightforward which I appreciated. The inside of the suite reminded me of some of the poke shops closer to where I live. It was brightly lit, and the tables were well spaced apart. A center bar area was featured where you could watch the chefs assemble the orders. There was even a clock on the wall behind the bar in which the numbers were replaced by pieces of sample nigiri. As the only diner at the beginning of my visit, I had time to snap plenty of photos after placing an order. The Ramen + Roll combo on the top right corner of the front menu page was the best offer. You could select any ramen bowl and any special roll for $24.95. The Veggie Curry and Encinitas were my picks. I usually stick with a tonkotsu broth for ramen, but the picture of the Veggie Curry looked interesting. Four potato croquettes were added to the bowl with noodles, scallions, and bamboo shoots. The curry broth was not spicy and had good flavor. The sushi roll was rice-less and made up of salmon, tuna, and whitefish on the inside. On the outside was soy paper, avocado, mustard, and spicy mayo. The sauces were heavily applied and overshadowed the fish. That would be an area of improvement to allow the seafood to shine more. The price I paid for the amount of food I received was very reasonable. When I factored in the quality and execution of my dishes, I gave a four star rating to Ramen & Sushi Spot.

Wonderful new Japanese restaurant in Encinitas. Great food, great service and very reasonable prices especially the combos. We had the spicy black ramen with a roll land roll combo, tonkatsu ramen plus chicken katsu and a golden california roll, and fried oysters and a baked salmon roll. All amazing flavors, fresh and hot. The spicy garlic was spicy with tons of flavor, veggies and noodles. The tonkatsu was much milder but full of noodles and veggies. All the rolls were plentiful and warm. The baked salmon roll needed to cool down before we could eat it.One of our new favorite places to eat...lots of food, not noisy, clean, wonderful staff.Welcome to the neighborhood Ramen & Sushi Spot!

Food is incredible! Service is great! Definitely stop by if you're in the area! We got the Golden California roll, miso soup, veggie ramen, and normal California roll. All of which were awesome!

I am pulling for this place, really. I hope they do well. This place is more of a small lunch establishment, like a quick bite while shopping place. It's bright and clean. The service was amazing, but the rolls lacked the snappy freshness I'm used to. We ordered the two roll special and fried pork gyoza. It was ok, but didn't knock my socks off. When the Sunsee and Golden Tiger rolls came, they looked delicious. The frying oil doesn't taste fresh. That's a common issue with fried food that I find a lot. Please clean the filter daily if you use a commercial fryer, and if it's smaller, change it every few days.

Excellent food !!! A+ Kids loved it and we love going here! We have definitely eaten at many ramen places and sushi. Tonkotsu was one of the best broths in San Diego with the same quality noodles. Definitely will give you your foodie fix

Gave it some time to get settled in. I wish we had tried them out sooner. Food: my wife and I ordered the Niki and Black Garlic oil ramen (added chasu); shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura. Loved it all! The Niku was different (but a good twist) as it was a bulgogi pork for protein. The broth was great. Ramen cooked to perfection! The Black garlic oil with chasu was as good as it gets! Chasu was melt in your mouth goodness! Ambiance: I like the chilled yet attentive vibe. Not pretentious! Great place to get GOOD food and relax! Stoked to have this local gem!
