Raiz Kitchen Sushi Bar is a delightful surprise near Logan Square. While it may be a hidden gem, it's quickly becoming a favorite spot for those in the know, thanks to its diverse menu and charming outdoor patio. One of the things that sets Raiz apart is its eclectic range of food options. From sushi to Italian fare to hearty burgers, there's something for everyone here. It's the perfect spot for a group with varied tastes, as you can satisfy your cravings for sushi while your friend indulges in a juicy burger.Speaking of the outdoor patio, it's an absolute gem. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it offers a tranquil oasis where you can unwind and enjoy your meal al fresco. The ambiance is cozy yet chic, making it the ideal setting for a relaxed dinner with friends and family. Now, onto the food. While I wouldn't necessarily say it was mind-blowing, everything we tried was undeniably tasty. We opted for the Spicy Salmon Roll, Tequila roll, Ocean Vinaigrette roll, Pink Flower roll, and Spicy Garlic Edamame, and each dish had its own unique flair. However, the standout for me was definitely the Spicy Garlic Edamame. Bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned, it was a true revelation. I've never had edamame that flavorful before, and it left me craving more.Overall, Raiz Kitchen Sushi Bar is a wonderful spot for a laid-back dining experience with friends. While the food may not be groundbreaking, it's still delicious, and the charming ambiance and friendly service more than make up for it. Whether you're in the mood for sushi, Italian, or just a tasty bite to eat, Raiz has you covered. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed!

Super impressed with my take out experience and they have a great patio space. Unique menu items, great flavors, and the prices were modest.

Came here after a concert and was a nice surprise! Indoor and outdoor seating where you can choose your ambiance. I saw many others chose the medusa roll so I had to try it and I was not disappointed! The bento box also came with a lot of food. Service was good as well with our server being very attentive and giving recommendations to us.

Like a lot of people, the fact that Raiz offers Italian AND Japanese food threw me off, but I came for a girl group for sushi in November of 2022 and the experience was wonderful - not crowded on a Friday late evening, intimate atmosphere in the back with the bar, service a little slow but kind, and some great food!Being a group, we ordered simple rolls and Shrimp Yakisoba, as well as specialty rolls to share: The unique-and-a-bit-too-spicy-for-me-personally River Beast and Zesty Islander (I'm weak to spiciness); Black Monster, The Anne, and the lovely Pink Flower; And my personal favorite - the Ocean Vinaigrette. I'm a sucker for anything with Ponzu on it (give me citrusy-salty *any day*, and I could have happily eaten the whole Ocean Vinaigrette with its "tart, refreshing blueberry ponzu vinaigrette" on top and come back for more. SOLD.Overall, it's great place for groups, Japanese cuisine (with unique rolls and flavor combinations) and drinks (hello Sapporo and Kirin!) as well as its intimate atmosphere.

One of my favorite sushi places in Chicago! My absolute favorites are the sushi rolls, noodles and garlic edamame, and for dessert the bread pudding. During the warm weather months, they have an outdoor patio. The service is great and it shows they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend this place with its many menu options.

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews, but was left disappointed by the food. Ordered takeout on a Tuesday night and got: Zesty Islander, Ocean Vinaigrette, Picasso, Sashimi sampler, and salmon avocado. The tuna in the zesty islander had a noticeable fishy taste, as did the salmon in the salmon avocado. All the rolls had too much rice compared to amount of fish. The special rolls came with dipping sauce on the side? Which I had never experienced before, and the sauces almost tasted like different kinds of salad dressings.Unfortunately will likely not be ordering from here again, the fish quality at the end of the day was pretty sub-par.

This place is pretty solid. You can tell all the ingredients are super fresh and I love how they plate the food. Taste wise I'd give it a 7.5/10. It's good but not mind blowing or something I'd ever crave to have again. The best thing we had was the chili edamame appetizer.

What do you do when they run out of camarón at Chingon? You pull an audible and give a sushi place you haven't tried before a go. And if you're like me and you love a little jalapeño and cilantro with your rice and tuna then you get incredibly lucky and find a place that just happens to have what you consider to be ideal maki. These rolls were absolutely delicious. Not going to lie, I was pretty skeptical when I saw that their menu had burgers and pastas too but when I started reading the descriptions of the maki I knew I had to at least give them a shot and man oh man am I glad that I did. Looking forward to ordering from here again.

Similar to other reviewers, I was almost scared off by the fact that they have chick parm on their menu, but thankfully other reviewers mentioned that and said that the sushi was great. We weren't disappointed. We got one of the deluxe entrees that included 2 specialty rolls and 10 pieces of nigiri. It was great. The dim sum soup was amazing! The service was really helpful and friendly. We were a bit nervous when we arrived because the restaurant empty at 7:30pm on a Friday night, but we opted to sit out on the back patio, which had several guests dining there. It was a great atmosphere with patio lights. I'd recommend this spot for sushi and great service.

1st time at this place and just got a takeout order of sushi. Was wildly impressed! The shumai was bangin, I'd bet money on handmade. Oshinko tasted like it was pickled in house. All of the rolls were spot on. The crunchy was crunchy, the fish was fresh and the flavors blended super well together. The Picasso roll and the Anne Roll were two of our favorite. But Nothing disappointed, there were zero sad bites. We will definitely be back to taste the rest of the menu!
