I was skeptical about this place, but I will admit that I do it! The couple of times I had ordered food, it has been fresh, hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and the outside seating area was clean and cool, comfortable. It's fast food for crying out loud. And it's good.

I was lucky to be one of the customers to try it for free before they opened the next day. Pros- chicken was tasty but not great like everyone says it is. Bread was good. HahaCons- fries taste like crap. Soggy. Soda- they fill your cup with ice to the top and then put your drink in. Basically, only getting a 1/4 cup of soda4small piece of chicken for $12, I'd rather get my chicken from kfc that are bigger pieces. Secret sauce- it was good. But for $2-3 for extra sauce, not worth it. To my tasting, it's thousand island dressing with pepper in it. It's better than Popeyes for sure but not a place I'd go back unless I get a free coupon again.

We all know by now that any established fast food joint is basically going to get toasted on Yelp - people are only going to complain because no one needs to Yelp MCD or Cheesecake Factory - we ALL know the fare, what they serve, how it tastes - yet people will come on here and say food was bad or cold or poor customer service - all valid complaints yet no any of those things free anyone from going to those places - turnover is high so service can be great one time and horrible the next. For me Canes is a diluted version of Chick-Fil-A. If their price point was a discount of Chick-Fil-A then of would be like choosing perhaps between In-N-Out and Five Guys - you "might" like the burger at Five guys better but when price is 2x In-N-Out then you (I do this) will lean In-N-Out - higher orice not worth the upgrade. However, Canes isn't a lower price point and it isn't better tasting so other than I'm closer - not likely to choose Canes. My service was great on pickup (ordered online), chicken was fine, fries fine, coleslaw absurdly small portion (seriously Canes?!). Toast was underdone and maybe that is being in a box closed so gets soggy. Would I come back? Sure but expectations not high. Do note - NO inside seating - drive thru and modest outdoor area (30 seats?)

Service was great, food was good, but they're outdoor seating has so many flies and pigeons. I had to throw a bunch of food away due to the flies landing in it. I understand that they chose to have outdoor seating so there's going to be flies, but I feel like they should at least have some fly traps around because, this is disgusting. Why get an outdoor seating area if you can't even control the bugs around it.

The food is beyond bland. No seasonings at all. Not even salt. What's the point in paying for something that's not even decent without the sauce. The service is really good though. The workers are friendly and while I don't eat here my daughter does and they've never gotten her order wrong.

IT'S IT WORTH THE HYPE?Raising Cane's have large juicy chicken options that fall flat for my taste. It's a better value than most chicken places. My five stars are for this aesthetically pleasing and community centered eatery. It's one of the most beautiful franchises I have seen. Shout outs to local artists that have done the murals. I got the chicken finger sandwich for dinner and it was okay. I thought the customer service was good and the line was not long. Not a bad spot.

Canes is pretty freakin decent. It's a simple, easy, small menu. If you're complaining because they only have chicken fingers, fries, and a sando; this place isn't for you. That's all they sell, and that's fine. Nobody complaint about In-N-Out not selling chicken wings. The chicken sandwich is crispy, decently sized, and has good flavor. I really dig the sauce, it's almost a Chinese restaurant inspired flavor (so I feel anyway). The drive thru is super quick, between line start, and food handoff, maybe 5 minute, give or take. My only complaint is that the fries are pretty soggy. I don't know if that's just here, or elsewhere too. It's better than Chicken Fillay, but I think I like Popeye's more. This place is damn good though. Plus it's a nice addition to Palm Ave with the artistic front.

Raising Cane's opened not long ago on 900 Palm Ave, Imperial Beach, CA (December 2023). I was there for their opening and I received a few gift cards for the 4-piece chicken finger combo - free food. I used up my coupons. The food tasted great the first few times, and I liked their coleslaw.I visited Raising Cane's again, 3-4 months later, after their grand opening, AND what happened? I ordered the 4-piece chicken finger combo. The chicken fingers tasted a little bland without the sauce. The coleslaw was watery and had no flavor. I took it in stride and told myself, "It's late. Maybe that's the reason the coleslaw is watery, and maybe the cook is tired."July 25, 2024, again, I started craving Raising Cane's 4-piece chicken fingers. I was dissapointed, but not entirely disappointed. The chicken fingers were good and crispy. The problem was the coleslaw. Again, it was VERY WATERY, and even more so! Water was dripping from it and it tasted a little like it was going bad. It hardly had any flavor. It tasted awful! ~Sigh~ Who's making that coleslaw? Is the cook not putting any effort on draining the water from the coleslaw before mixing in the seasoning? Is the cook cutting back on ingredients? I didn't bother going back for a refund nor a replacement.I don't necessarily want to bash Raising Cane's. I'm sincerely hoping Raising Cane's management reads these reviews. I'm hoping the business will improve on flavoring and not making their coleslaw watery to the point it has no flavor that it tastes more like watered-up mayonnaise.
