Rainbow Garden

Food was ok. The egg roll was really good! The chicken lomien was good. The wonton soup was not. It didn't have much flavor and the fried rice was very dry and had maybe 4 pieces of pork in it. I'll most likely be going elsewhere.

Rainbow Garden is a good option for Chinese food in Rolesville. It is in the same shopping center as a Food Lion; Dollar General and a Hardees. The menu is large and the prices are reasonable. My order was prepared quickly and service was friendly. They offer take out and and dine in options. Although some of the seating was stacked up on one table so that meant less available tables.I went with the beef and broccoli. I forgot to take a photo of it before transferring a third to half in my own dish. I had plenty left for another meal or two. I will return and try some of the other menu items.

Food is always good and hot. Convenient to pickup. Love the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp egg rolls

Really good meal - beef and broccoli lunch special and sesame chicken lunch special. $7 each, good amount of food. Ordered over the phone and food was ready when we arrived. Very friendly owner, restaurant very clean, too. Please note - restaurant is in the strip with Food Lion and is next to SunTrust Bank. The owner mentioned this over the phone, so I'm guessing some folks have a hard time finding this place. Overall, good food and good experience. We will definitely order from there again.

It's been more than a year since my last review and we have come to love Rainbow Garden. It was a rocky start, but it is the neighborhood place and maybe we went on an off day.Recent favorites include: chicken chow mein, crab rangoon, and all the lo meins and sweet and sour shrimp or chicken. Granted, the sweet + sour are fried, but if that is what you are craving, they hit the spot. New Englanders; the sweet and sour chicken here is like the closet thing you'll find to Boston-style chicken fingers in the south. The chicken chow mein is a standout dish at our house, the flavor is always on point. We still don't love the egg foo young; the patties are perfect, but the sauce is light, thin and lacking flavor.The lunch specials - served until 3pm can't be beat. And we've heard- but have not confirmed- that the dishes cooked at lunch time tend to be spicier. If you are new to the area and searching for your take-out spots, we definitely recommend Rainbow Garden.

beyond disgusted with this place. i was in the middle of eating and i find a FLY!! in my food. so disgusting! and the only thing the owner told me was that it was because of the broccoli got my refund and never going back.

The service was quick and friendly but the food was just Ok. On the sesame chicken there were very few sesame seeds; just some sesames sprinkled on top and the chicken was chewy and fatty. It wasn't good pieces of chicken. The fried rice tasted a little undercooked and didn't have much of anything in it. A few tiny pork pieces and a sliver of onion. I stopped eating Chinese food a few years ago, now I remember why.

Food is good, prices are decent, restaurant is clean, and staff is decent. Fried chicken, crab Rangoon (surprisingly doesn't come with sauce, it's an up charge), beef and broccoli are all good.
