Raffaele's Pizza

This is my favorite place for traditional pizza and wings and house made ranch! Always served perfectly with great customer service!

Tried this place out a half dozen times, but honestly can't recommend them, at least not for dine in. The pizza itself wasn't bad at all, actually pretty decent and mostly consistent. Toppings were fresh, including the mushrooms (definitely not canned). Wings, on the other hand, were disappointing. Seemed like bland wings smothered after the fact with overpowering sauces. Probably some of the worst I've had in a while, in fact. Service was hit or miss for us, with most of them being misses on account of inattentive servers. The owner was always there, to his credit, but consistently checked out and preoccupied. Each time the restaurant was at least 2/3rd empty, so there's no excuse for that level of service.That brings me to my last point. This place is not family friendly. I'm no prude, but when you have some asshole drunk retiree sitting at the bar, loudly dropping the F-bomb every other sentence, it gets old really fast. The owner was present and engaged each time this happened, but despite having kids and literal babies in diapers with a few feet, he did nothing about it. Sorry but letting drunk patrons piss all over the dining experience like that is low class.We finally gave up and won't be back. We miss the pizza, but not the non-existent service or the loudmouthed, drunk regulars at the bar.

Some of the worst Italian food I have encountered. There must not be anyone from NY living within a 10 mile radius of this place, which somehow has been open since 1974. Any NY person would laugh this place to death. The pizza was NY STYLE in name only. Soft dough, too much cheese and a bad tasting sauce and crust. Time for a new recipe. And what the hell was the chicken parmesan hero at $10.99 doing? Giant chunks of breaded chicken on a stale roll with no sauce or cheese on sight. Miserable.

Not sure why this place has such a high rating. Few things I noticed. The guy making the pizza stopped making a pizza. Went out side grabbed the front door. Came back to making the pizza with out washing his hands

The Best SicilianDon't let this small, older restraunt, stop you from coming in and enjoying some of the best pizza in town, the staff at Raffaele's are all very friendly and the pizza is absolutely delicious. A true old school pizzeria that reminds me of being back in New York and grabbing a slice of pie and coke after school.I decided to try Raffaele's after reading so many positive Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did. I am a hard judge of pizza, especially Sicilian pizza and all I have to say is Raffaele's Pizza has some of the best Sicilian Pizza around town. The sauce and dough are perfectly flavored, the crust is crispy, with just the right amount of toppings and cheese. I can't wait to go back for another slice or two.If you're in the area stop by, Raffaele's won't disappoint. Great customer service, wallet friendly prices, and delicious food. .

What's better than a local pizza place that makes the pizzas right in front of you?! Not much. May it's just me, but I find a lot of places the magic all happens in a closed-off kitchen, so it was fun to watch while we waited. In addition, the pizza sauce was very VERY good - when mixed with a really decent base/crust and the right amount of cheese, these pies tasted absolutely dynamite!Great customer service, lots of parking, steady flow of customers - Raffaele's really hits the heights for us - personally; I liked the old stills of the Phoenix Suns players on the walls. We'll be back - 100%

Over the last 10 years, I've seen snow more times in Phoenix than I have a pizzeria offering pizza by the slice. Being a New Yorker, I know is nothing more clutch than to grab 2 slices and a cherry coke mid day for lunch . I was ecstatic when I heard Raffaele's, a family owned NY pizza joint was selling pizza by the slice. So I found myself at Rafaffaels that same day. Air deflated out of my interior balloon as the selection of slices was underwhelming- only cheese and pepperoni. No Sicilian? No margarita? No meatball available ? The pizza itself was decent, but I was really hoping for a crispy corner Sicilian. Overall- Not a bad pizzeria to grab a quick lunch.

Haven't received our food yet but after talking to whomever they have taking orders for carry out, I'm a little concerned. The guy seemed to really struggle with everything I said and I spoke clearly and slowly. After spelling my name slowly 3 times, he still got it wrong so I gave up. And giving the order was a nightmare. If the food order comes correctly I will be surprised. The only reason I continued is because the reviews for the Sicilian Special are so high. We shall see.

Placed order cheese, pizza, medium, and a side of breadsticks 40 minutes they made the order wrong then they had to redo it twice. Poor management and employees aren't trained to do their jobs right

If you have a craving for elementary school cafeteria pizza but in a round shape, this is your spot. No idea how they rate 4.2 star average. You know the pizza is bad when no one in the house wants another slice and we decide to toss the remaining slices the next day instead of eating the leftovers.
