R Place Sports Bar & Grill

Been coming here since they opened. So nice to see professional restaurant guy take over. I've met him & hes always nice. Restaurant is always spotless. He's got great specials here, today it's wing Wednesday $1wings starts at 5!! Beer for $5, & tacos on point on Tuesday!! Bar staff is always friendly, & they're dog friendly!! Always a treat for my boy!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The shrimp tacos here are delicious. Not breaded, lightly pan fried and they were great tortillas. I also got a Mexican mule which hit the spot. The hostess were very welcoming and although our server admitted to being new and a few days on the job, she was super friendly and nice/ honest which I appreciated. The outdoor patio was a nice option especially since the indoor space smelled a little funky. I'll be back for the service and great tacos!

Honestly... I like this place but the female bartenders are TRASH. Really seeing the double standard of if you're not a man, then you aren't worth it. Completely ignored and rejected and given an attitude and this happens every time we're seated in a female bartender's section... then we catch the server, who I won't name, calling us "dumb b*****s" as we leave... how professional. SMH. Maybe if you attended to all customers the way you attend to only the male ones, I'd tip you. Just a thought.

Great bar right across the street to PetCo park. Got here about 3pm via Lyft before the Chris Stapleton concert. Adrian was our bartender. Man that guy can pour a good Old Fashioned and spicy mezcal margarita. Will come back to try some of the menu bites as, understandably, limited event menu was available. Had the chicken quesadilla (two delicious slices gone) and it satisfied my tank for the evening.

Decided to watch the first set of NFL games on a Sunday morning here after walking by earlier in the week and taking note of their signs. It's an inviting space, and so much larger than I realized. The main area has a bar in the center and one try of seating (bar stools, tables, booths), then there's another seating area farther back and a large outdoor patio. TVs were pre-designated for the games, with stickers at the bottom to indicate what game would be on what tv - which is fantastic. Decent alcohol selection, wish there were a few more seltzers/ciders offered, maybe a guest tap in the future? But they're well priced. On Sunday there was also a Bloody Mary bar to customize your own drink which was cool. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Not many people at the beginning but by noon it was bustling. I didn't get any food, their regular menu is a bit pricey (though on par with comps in the area) but they do have happy hour food & drink specials that I'll be back for! Good for groups, it is very loud so maybe not great date spot during games.

Love this place! Great food, awesome employees and owners, always fun. This is such a great addition to the East Village and it has one of the best outdoor spaces in the neighborhood. You also have to check out their brunch menu and definitely stop by before, during, and/or after any big game. Perfect when attending a Padres game or cheering on your favorite team on TV for big games.

Wife and I sat at the bar prior to a Padres game. From the door guy to the bartender, fast and friendly service. Menu is the QR codes I took a picture of. Food was average, place is large and nice. Restrooms need a little work. Good spot for pre/post events.

Came in today before the padres game and this will now be our go to spot! Everyone was friendly and they have a full bar. I got the mozzarella sticks and chx quesadilla to hunch on. Both were good. The place is pretty large with a great outdoor patio and tons of seating inside. Def stop by if you have not already tried this place.

Mushy ground beef looks like the food I feed my pet. That's no carne asada fries...next to Petco Park too, come on, You guys can do better!

All of the above were good. Not on a game night though. Let the Faithful have it on game nights!
