Quench Taps and Tapas

I have been there several times, in fact I'm going back today!This is a rare gem that we needed in our area.The "Farm to Table" is fabulous!!!There are not anywhere near enough of these.The restaurant is very tastefully decorated.The food is definitely 5 star.Angie (the Chef/Owner) puts together wonderful options for appetizers and/or meals.The artistry behind her creations are truly inventive, she uses local foods and here presentation is out of this world!!I know there has been one review where the people were unhappy with the furniture in the place. The chairs are very plush and comfy and if you need taller tables, they have those too. The patio is great as well. You can't make everyone happy, and the good outweighs the bad review.If you are a "Foodie" and you like your wines, this is the place for you!!!!Diane S.

This is just what Surprise Arizona needs. A trendy classy place to have a cocktail, a meal outside or inside with excellent and knowledgeable servers. An excellent food and cocktail menu. Owners are present , friendly and welcoming. Great bar with wonderful ambience.Everyone should try this. Ladies nice afternoon out ....men take your favorite person or enjoy the bar for happy hour.Will definitely be a new spot in my top places to go.Well done!I know you won't be disappointed!

I don't know what I was expecting but it exceeded my expectations by 5859494994848585! The food is so delicious-- who is the chef?! Wow! Every little touch... the editable flowers, the steak and mushrooms (slap your momma) and the spiced nuts (can I have these everyday, please!) If you are debating to come???? Don't miss out on this gem!

If you read my reviews you know I am a sucker for all things local and when given a chance I'll choose that over a chain any day. I've had Quench Taps and Tapas on my list of spots to check out for what feels like forever and tonight after a long and very busy vacation I made my way over for some appetizers and a few drinks. Luckily for me it was during their happy hour and they had so many good options that it was hard to decide. We were not only greeted right away we were also seated. So glad we came when we did because it really filled up quick. To our surprise there was even some live music which they told us happens every other Friday. The location is small, but feels bigger and seating is so cozy. While it feels more upscale it doesn't feel stuffy if you know what I mean. I'd say this place isn't for kids as it's mostly alcohol and more upscale kind of eats. They have a great wine and cocktail list as well as of course draft beers. We had ate a late lunch so we opted for mango habanero wings and the BLT Flatbread which were both on the happy hour list. They also offer a reward program to earn points off purchase and on your birthday month. Service the entire time was awesome and Cheryl our server was kind and knowledgeable. She was attentive and let us know all the specials or other great options. Her drink choice after I told her what I liked was on point and the cosmopolitan was delicious. We'll definitely add this spot into rotation. What a great date spot.

Met friends for lunch on a quiet Saturday afternoon. A few tables were in use but we were sat towards the back which was nice & intimate. Candace was our server and was ok. Efficient but not overly friendly. There was a mix up with one of our orders going to another table but not sure that was her fault since she hadn't delivered it. I mostly enjoyed the honey garlic shrimp served with cold mango white rice for $17.Wish the rice was served hot (menu said cold) and the mango was a bit more tender but the shrimp were delicious! Their menu is extensive, from shared appetizers, heartier type meals and desserts. The drink menu was two full pages and all looked beautiful.They added a 18% tip for a table 5 instead of the usual 6 which is not typical but their policy. Not sure this is my kind of place (picky pallet) but overall it was enjoyable.

Once again, a fabulous experience. Candice was our server, and she did wonderful job. She was very attentive, and she took very good care of us. Like always, Angie, one of the owners, who is also the chef, comes out and goes table to table to check on everyone. She is a doll and her talent is phenomenal. Food is served beautifully and is delicious. Highly recommend

Really good food. Loved the Blackened Shrimp with Mango Sauce (shrimp cooked perfectly with really good seasoning and mango sauce). Did not care for the BLISTERED BALSAMIC TOMATOES WITH BURRATA (the burrata was good but the tomatoes were not). FLAT IRON STEAK SKEWERS were really good (tender with good seasoning). Ambiance was nice but the specific chairs we were in were uncomfortable. They are made for lounging not for eating at a table. The service was friendly and attentive. We would definitely go back and try more:)!!

This place rocks!!! Their charcuterie board for 2 presented itself like a Disney star!! It had so many varieties of quality meats, cheeses, jam, and delicious spice blends to make everyone's charcuterie board dreams come true! The blackened shrimp in mango sauce was bueno too! So much flavor!! I also loved downing my tapas with their sparkling cobbler cocktail! So refreshing!! We were the only ones in the restaurant around 3pm on a weekday, so of course, service was spectacular!! The restaurant is small and cozy, so if you want that family feeling, you'll definitely get it here! I was super happy & lucky to find this rare gem in Surprise AZ!!P.S. if u need to be gluten free, the chef here has your back! She's gluten-free friendly, and can make many of the menu items gluten-free at your request!!

Be crystal clear on what you are paying for here. We assumed our offer for gluten or gluten-free bread came with our order. When the 2 tiny slices were not enough we asked for more. We ended up paying $8 for 4 small slices of gluten free bread. We will not go back. They could have told us of the costs as we ordered.
