Pyung Chang Korean BBQ

This was definitely a good find! Food was good with such wonderful presentation! Ordered the lunch bbq and it came with all the korean sides that were all so good. Service was great - very friendly. A little short handed so be patient, service is not as quick as you'd like it to come. Still pretty good.The resto was clean and welcoming. One thing i loved was the grills. Smoke was sucked into the exhaust so you didn't get out of there smelling like smoke or bbq. My kinda place!

A KBBQ spot in downtown Mount Vernon. It is the only Korean restaurant in the city and serves tasty food. You can pick either a regular or BBQ table. The prices for the meats in the barbeque seemed slightly pricey so we opted for entrées. All five banchans were refillable.-----Seafood Pancake: squid, shrimp, onions, and green onions ($18.99).The pancake was delicious. It was largely sized and adequately topped with seafood. Batter was pan fried well and oily but had the perfect crispiness.-----Sundubu: spicy beef broth w/ silk tofu, vegetable, egg, and choice of pork, seafood, veggie, or combo (+$1). Served w/ 4 side dishes and steamed rice ($16.99).A hearty stew to have on a cold and cloudy day. I picked pork as my protein. It was loaded with soft tofu and the spicy level was mild to me. The egg was missing from my sundubu.-----Reservations are accepted. Each table has a call button, but the service on a weekend lunch was frequent enough that it was not used. Guest Wi-Fi is available. Downtown has a couple of public parking lots within walking distance as street parking can be difficult to get.

The service was good but they only had two people. If it was busier it would have been a challenge. The food is ok, feels over priced and the quality is meh. It's ok.

Finally went here tonight! The servers were so friendly and helpful! If you are not comfortable with metal chopsticks let them know at the beginning of the meal and they will grab you a fork. It was so clean and bright with great music volume. We ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and the beef bulgogi. The spicy was not our favorite. All we could taste was the spice and no pork. The beef bulgogi was amazing! It was great getting all the sides so we could try things we wouldn't normally order. The sides were pickled radish, bean sprouts, fish cakes, kimchi, cucumbers, potatoes and rice. We left sooo full! We are already planning our next trip there!

The food is great there's a lot of good stuffs in the menu that you can choose, service is okay restrooms are clean, nice and cozy ambiance inside and out. We ordered the combo B and it's good for 4 person and we still brought home some left overs and eat it at home The price are reasonable and no wasted food left behind because you'll enjoy eating BBQ grilled pork, beef etc. I love it and definitely want to come back for more

We were here once before and thought prices were a bit high and food was average. So when I suddenly had the urge for Korean BBQ food, I thought what the heck.....we'll go for it. Restaurant closes at 8 pm. We arrived to checked-in at hostess station at 7:16pm. A young female hostess give a big bright smile and said, "sorry, we close at 8pm so we're not seating anyone anymore, today " WTH??! We drove 45 miles to get to see her smug smile? The fact is that being the ONLY Korean BBQ restaurant within the 40 miles radius, they really don't care about their reputation. They only care about clocking out by 8 pm. This place clearly lack business integrity, we won't be returning to see her smug smile ever. I hope someone will open a competing Korean BBQ to knock Pyung Chang down off its monopoly.

The side dishes are always delicious, the potato salad being my favorite. I wish there were more vegetarian/tofu options, there are only 2 dishes I will eat here and although they are delicious I come far less frequently knowing there are only 2 things I'll eat.

Do your research before coming here if you aren't sure what kind of food you might like. Staff is not helpful at all in this department. No pictures on the menu either. I had to show them pictures from yelp to figure out what it was on the menu. The food was pretty good and I might consider coming back again to try a few other things.

Excellent food. Portions were good sized. Staff was very helpful. Will recommend to friends and family. Will return soon!
