My husband and I have been trying all the local el Salvadoran restaurants in our area and this one did not disappoint. We went on a Friday around dinner time. It's small inside but there's seating available. We got a table no problem. Lots of people came in and out to order to go and several others were dining in. The menu is all in Spanish but we figured it out with the help of google. Our waitress spoke English but aside from that, everyone else spoke Spanish (cooks and patrons alike). That's how you know it's authentic! Everything we ordered was scrumptious. Pupusas, pollo a la plancha, tamale, plantains, homemade tortillas. Every bite was as good as the last. We will absolutely be back.

4.5The reviews are legit. The pupusas are legit. This is a place you should check out -- without a doubt.I am hardly ever in the Tusculum area. In fact, until recently, I didn't even realize that it was a part of Nashville proper. I suppose as more and more people move into the city, the boundaries will stretch and get re-established. Looking at a heat map, there's a lot of home building in Glencliff and Paragon Mills. In 2013, mentioning both of those neighborhoods would have earned a response of 'what?' So, it should come as no surprise that expansion is reaching southward. It definitely doesn't come as a surprise to the people and communities that have made this section of town home for years. Driving down Nolensville, I kept thinking 'Where is this place?' It's a good thing I had on my navigation system because if I hadn't, I would have missed it. PSR is small. It's a small blue building with a tight dining room and small seating addition. This isn't a place to come with a large crowd. I was the only non-Latino inside (and, outside; a bunch of guys were hanging out) but the woman at the counter is fully bilingual (and, very nice). She addressed me in Spanish and I replied. I thought about going further down that road but she switched it up after I explained that it wasn't my native tongue. She also gave me tips and patience to get through the menu. Before going crazy at a new restaurant, I like to start with the standards. If those are up to snuff, then I expand on the options. I tried three pupusas: pollo y queso, chicharron y frijoles and chicharron y queso. It took, about, 20 minutes for these nicely sized-pupusas to be made to order. And, at $2.50 a pop, I was out there for under $10. The pupusas came with curtido, green sauce and tomato salsa. Y'all, I'm definitely coming back. These pupusas were the best I've had in Nashville -- and I thought I'd had the best pupusas in Nashville. I couldn't understand how these discs were packed with so many ingredients and with so much flavor. Each pupusa was distinct in flavor (sometimes the masa can overwhelm the dish) and each bite was packed with something to enjoy (again, not just masa). I'm giving PSR 4.5 stars since I didn't order anything other than pupusas but I, easily, rounded up because if the pupusas were this good, the rest of the menu has to be fantastic. Due to the size of the place, I'll probably stick to carry out but there will be many more trips down Nolensville to eat of this goodness. Thanks be to Yelp for putting this on my radar and in my life. If you're a fan of Salvadoran cuisine, you owe it to yourself to come here. The stars don't lie.

It's a humble little royal blue cinderblock building, and the restaurant is tiny, so maybe not the best choice to dine in, though I did go there after COVID restrictions liftedin 2020. Family-owned, great pupusas. I recommend the chicken and cheese pupusas. We're celebrating my daughter's BD with food from Santa Rosa next week. Looking forward to it!

Went for the first time tonight and the Pupusas are spectacular. Best I've had in Nashville. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. I'll certainly be back regularly from now on.

This is the most authentic Salvadoran food I have had, not just in Nashville, but the whole U.S., since my time spent in El Salvador. The Pupusas are delicious and the homemade Tortillas are incredible! The family that runs the restaurant is very friendly as well. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE!!

Higiene primero.
