We decided to come for oat breakfast/brunch. We had not been since before the pandemic and had mostly forgotten about this place but I saw it appear again on social media. I had tempered at the time that it was not my partners favorite and he was often not too pleased with their pupusas. They are not bad just plain. It's why we stopped coming the first time and it remains true. It is a small place and it pretty busy so service is not fast but they are friendly. For those who are nervous about being the minority in a space, please get over it. Like anywhere else, they speak English and if the person waiting your table doesn't, they will send someone out who does but it's really not necessary. The menu online is not a true representation of what is offered and I had forgotten to take a picture of the actual menu. Like most things, the menu has a blend of different Central American offerings. I had their take on a Honduran dish that is normally made they fried chicken (Pollo con tajados) but they used steak. He had a traditional breakfast and a cheese pupusa. The food was okay, not bad, just plain. If you still want to try it just know that this place is small. You walk in and sit wherever you want. You pay for your male at the register and there are snacks and quesadilla for sale by the register. Salvadorian quesadilla is a sweet not the Mexican or Tex/Mex style you're probably used to.

Nashville, Tennessee's Pupuseria Metapaneca is the very definition of hole-in-the-wall restaurant with almost no ambience and a location that you would drive by every day without ever noticing. It is in a hidden strip plaza behind a Jack in the Box and the only way to know that a restaurant is here is by what appears to be a homemade sign above the storefront.Walking in I was greeted by a woman and a little girl perhaps five-years-old, maybe six-years-old at the most. She certainly wanted to help what I assume is her mother.I ordered two pupusas off of the menu, as well as a carne asada taco. Be advised that the prices must have got up because on the menu the pupusas were $2.50 and the taco was a dollar fifty. And yet my total with those two items and a bottle of water, which was advertised for a dollar, came out to me over $9. Not a big hiking price and honestly, it is what I would expect to pay for this food. It does bear mentioning. They had giant containers of the Salvadorian coleslaw. Which goes with pupusas. I genuinely enjoyed this coleslaw, as I always do. The pupusas were good at the taco was decent.Nashville, Tennessee it's a city that has some fantastic pupusas. Honestly, I tell people that my favorite city that I have had pupusas in so far is Nashville. While these were good, I have had better in Nashville. I am still giving this establishment five stars because in there a little corner of the world, or at least their corner of Nashville, Tennessee, we were pretty much the only game in town. So this save me about a fifteen or twenty minute drive each way.

It's located in a small strip. The food takes a bit to come out but for the most part, everything is fresh. I was surprised there was no rice included but that's my fault for not reading the details on what I ordered. The place was quiet empty. Food wasn't bad.

Super tasty!! Food was really good, ambiance is very simple, just what you'd expect from a small place in a strip mall. The horchata was not good, so that was a bit disappointing, but the pupusas and carne asada were fabulous. We got the pupusa mixta with chicharron beans and cheese, and one with loroco and cheese. I'll be back for sure. Entrees were $10-$15, pupusas $2.50 each, portion sizes were big but not crazy.

Whenever you are the only "gringo" in a Latin restaurant, you need to take note. I enjoyed my visit . This is an El Salvadorean restaurant.I got two pupusas, chicaronne and queso. They make each dish to order. I loved them. The menu said "pork chop", but properly listed it should say, "Pork, chopped." They were delicious. They also have a home made El Salvadorean slaw and it was great.Go there
