I really like this place. Friendly staff, good food and just an overall good place to hangout with friends and have a couple beers.

This is our go-to family Mexican / American restaurant. Always great and prompt service. I love the variety on the huge menu. My favorite is the bacon wrapped prawns with rice and beans. My husband usually gets Carne Asada. The tortillas are homemade. And kids get free ice cream after their meal !

The Molcajete is amazing! It comes with chorizo, carne asada, pollo asado, shrimp, cactus and an amazing sauce. Two of us shared it and we still had leftovers. Plus the bar staff was very friendly and my margarita was great!

Did a door dash order since we didn't want to go out. Ordered on line, got a response and when it would be there. food came when it was supposed to, thanks Door dash and it was sort of warm which is the problem with take out.Food was so so. we've eaten at other Puerto Vallarta restaurants so knew what to expect. I ordered black beans, got refried beans, one strike. Instead of containers for the guac and the sour cream, put on top of the hot food and the cover mashed down on it. Not very appetizing looking.Burrito was ok according to my husband. I had enchiladas verde, just so so. Not much flavor. Small bag of house chips and a very small container of salsa included.Not the best mexican food, too much like an assembly line

I took my kiddos here today after spending 2+ hours at Catapult. My 7 and 5 year olds were starving and my baby was cranky. When we first walked in, the gentleman manning the host station was so sweet and kind to my kiddos. He immediately made us feel at home. When we sat down they brought chips, salsa, coleslaw, and waters. My baby was too distracted and overtired to nurse and instead of being annoyed with him, our waitress asked what she could do. I just said he was hungry and tired and I'd feed him some beans when my meal came out. Instead of having us wait, she ran and got not one, but two dishes of refried beans - one for my big kids and one for my 9 month old. My big kids and I were so impressed by the service that they both want to go back and we live 30 minutes north. The food was also great and the portions were very impressive. My kids also loved hunting for the colored chips in the chip basket. You can tell that the employees love their jobs and actually care about the customers. I had the lunch fajitas, and the kids had kids meals - one taco and one burrito. Oh! And each kid meal comes with a scoop of ice cream!

I'm pretty sure that these guys used to be in Bellevue a couple decades ago and the food was amazing. However, Franchising has not done this chain any favors and whoever owns them does not care as many local locations have really bad reviews. 15 years ago, I dated someone who lived in Twin Lakes and we ate at that location and it was really good, however, I have not been back in more than a decade. Covington is the location closest to me and it's 100% horrible, so much so, I wonder how they stay in business. This Federal Way location has the best reviews of all local locations, so I decided to give them a try. We came on a Sunday and the place was dead, the entire row of parking in front of the restaurant was empty. Service was ok, but we had to ask for refills on drinks and that's a bad sign when you are slow. I decided to try the carnitas and had the same issues I had my last time out. The meat was dry and tasted day old. You cannot reheat carnitas, they have to be fresh to be juicy. It was pretty terrible. That said, the portion was massive and had the meal been good we'd be talking about more stars, but this plate was the opposite of good. You can't whip carnitas up on the spot, so maybe the answer is smaller batches cooked fresh throughout the day, but when you have a fair price, a large portion and decent service, you undermine it all by serving food that should be thrown out. I'm sure I've eaten at all of the locations locally except for Yelm. I knew someone that lived there, and they told me they refused to return after a horrible meal. Ownership needs to demand consistency and quality otherwise this place is going to shutter just like Azteca. Once great, not regrettable.

Recently I took my mother here for her silver sneakers group gathering, I stayed and ate with the group. The service was exemplary, and from all the dishes I saw coming to the table it looked delicious and the servings looked large. Before you get your order you get nachos and dips, salsa and cabbage salsa, which was delicious and they served refried beans as dip with that! Much better than just a standard salsa. I had the loaded Nacho's, which were so much better than Aztec's, the portion larger, and it tasted way better. Super cheesey. In fact they were so good I went back a week later to grab some to take home! I want to also note the ambiance, the Mexican decor was pleasant, welcoming and relaxing. Great place to eat, and you definitely get more for your money!

I meet friends here for lunch or dinner. The wait staff is very helpful. The food is always delicious and will adjust menu items when asked. The service is usually very fast. I went at lunch time recently and waited quite a while before being noticed and seated. However the quick wait service made up for the wait.

There was no one at the front desk. So a ton of people were just standing and waiting around to be seated. We asked for our check 3 times. Service is ulta slow here. Or some of them don't care even thought they say yes. Server who took our order was good, and came out with food in a timely matter. He was probably the highlight of the place since he seemed happy and friendly. The quality of the food was quite plain, nothing notable. How long was the mint candies sitting at the front desk... the mints seemed expired and old. It's hard candy... it shouldn't look melted like that.
