Puckett's Restaurant - Nashville

We went for lunch. This location is super busy in downtown Nashville. The food was average in my view .. I had the Cobb salad with chicken fingers, which was actually quite bland. The individual who ordered the strawberry spinach salad commented the same. The group that had the hot chicken sandwich loved their meal but felt it was not very hot ... Texans speaking there. The server was annoyed and did not want to deal with splitting the checks or keeping the waters full. In fact, the individuals who had teas never received refills.

The server wasn't good. Didn't bring our appetizer. They did allow us to try a sample, which was nice. Food was ok, nothing great. Garden Variety tourist trap, nothing more. This place did inspire me to drive to a local hot chicken joint instead of just going to Hattie's on Broadway. Which was amazing

Such an awesome restaurant not too far from Broadway. My friends and I were so glad to come here and get a change of pace. It almost felt like walking into a Cracker Barrel with very local hometown vibes. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Everything came out fast and our waitress was super helpful.

Average bbq, sub average Cobb salad. Service is great, nice ambiance, seems like a good place to see live music. I wouldn't come back for the food.

Service was excellent. Very attentive. It is a pretty restaurant and a busy one as well. We were slow moving today and started out with a delicious Bloody Mary. We also tried the Cherry Smoked wings with the Whiskey Glaze. Not spicy. Kind of sweet. They were good. We got to catch the last quarter of the South Carolina/ Alabama game. It was a nice treat. Would return. They sell their sauces too. We got to taste them sitting at the bar and they are all good.

Came here for dinner tonight with my husband. Found this place on Yelp and had great reviews so we wanted to check it out. Had a long wait but after 50 min we were finally seated. Our server was great, he was super helpful. Helped us with our order and gave a few recommendations and everything was so good. My husband couldn't decide between the ribs and fried catfish so he got both. And I got the southern fried chicken with the southern green beans and collard greens. YUM!

Stumbled upon this place on our way to another restaurant and it looked like it might be a better choice. That was an excellent impulsive decision. The standouts here are service, selection, ambiance and cleanliness. We were there for breakfast, but the menu has lots of variety. Perhaps the best Bloody Mary I've had. Josiah was an excellent server. Offered recommendations, engaged conversation, and answered all our questions. Food overall was a 7.5, but everything else elevated it to 10/10. Would recommend and return!

Bartender was great. Down to earth spot. Live music. Everywhere here has it though. Food was good. Had ribs they were a little overdone but good nonetheless. Mac and cheese was good. Cornmeal pancakes were the star though for sure. Would return at least!

I wasn't super impressed with this place for how popular it is, but the desserts threw down. Service was solid and we were a large party, so kudos to them.Here's what I tried:- pimento cheese bites. Gross? I ate half of one because it was a bland grease ball.- fried pickle chips. Fine, nothing special.- grilled chicken sandwich. A solid chicken sandwich and I knew I wasn't ordering anything extraordinary.- side of cheddar grits. Bland.- deep fried brownie sundae. Alright they knew what they were doing with this one. The outside has an amazing crust and the inside is still gooey. Yum.- Presley Parfait. Unique and delicious! I really enjoyed the peanut butter mousse. If you're a PB and banana fan you've gotta try it.- peach cobbler. Maybe the best dessert? It was exactly what you envision when you think of cobbler and they've had it on the menu forever for a reason.- cinnamon roll bread pudding. Not super impressed. It was definitely tasty but was more dense than I expected for a bread pudding.I don't think I'd come back here unless it was for a specific dish, like a dessert. Granted I didn't try the BBQ but I bet there are other spots that are equal or better.

There are lots of BBQ Joints in Nashville, but Pucketts is not your paper plate, picnic table and plastic fork type of establishment. I had a huge portion of southern fried chicken a full 1/2 chicken - tender meat and crispy slightly spicy fried skin. It came with fries (very good) and green beans also perfectly cooked. Definitely enough for two people. My two friends had chicken fried steak with white pepper gravy. It came with creamy delicious bubble hot Mac &Cheese.The place has a kicking live band - they were talented but loud. It's also very popular- a lot of locals chowing down. Make reservations
