Love this place & their rotating menu. I haven't had a single miss from this place. In particular, I've enjoyed their chili crab noodles, the mushroom and squid dishes I had were out of this world! Also appreciate the innovative flavor mixes, tried the green curry ice cream and enjoyed it unexpectedly!Highly recommend coming here for a meal!

This is what I'll say: go here when you are not on a budget, looking for creative food, and are good with small portions. This is a cute spot with a nice ambiance and would say good when you are really looking to splurge. We went in a group of 6 and spent 400 dollars (didn't order any of the entrees that were for the table) or any dessert. We did order a drink each though! Not sure how we got that high up there but we were definitely surprised! From our orders we got:* tempura elotes - this is kind of a elote cracker and was nice and yummy with a creamy sauce* red curry lentil dip - flavorful and easily scoopable. Went well with the paratha*hawaiian rolls and chojang butter - this was decent but nothing I haven't had before *scallop crudo - this was honestly really fishy and the least popular entree of the table. We felt bad for send it back, but would definitely skip* Zatar potato - I love potatoes and this dish was yummy! Can't ever go wrong with a little bit of starch!*vegetable and paneer kofta - we got two orders of these and this was really yummy. The portions are way too small esp the bread it comes with but it was flavorful* braised wagyu beef cheek - this was my favorite dish and it was soft, melt in your mouth with a delicious curry. My advice to the chef is to give it with a little more rice! I haven't been to a restaurant where the side is such a tiny portion* roasted asparagus - this was nicely grilled and freshed and I enjoyed the sauce it came with!* banana leaf wrapped bass - this was unfortunately undercooked so we had to send this back, but the dish was okayOverall it was a fun experience to try so many different cool items, but I wouldn't go back due to price and portions!

Great food and great service!!We ordered way too much bc there were just so many dishes we needed to try. Don't worry, we ate it ALL! Where to even begin? The scallop crisp was nice and fresh, the foie gras steamed bun was incredibly flavorful and rich (but so is everything foie gras, right?!). We both LOVED the soft shell crab. So much flavor and umami. And it was fried to perfection! The tempura elotes came highly endorsed by our waiter and he was 100% right. It looked strange but it was totally an elote in my mouth lol. The best was the short rib tho. The meat was nice and tender and paired so well with the perilla and their special gochujan sauce. Great charred flavors too! The restaurant has a cool vibe. Very date night-worthy!

The food here is tasty, however the portion sizes are small and it is pretty expensive. You could get the same type of food, just cheaper, at other Asian restaurants and you could get a much bigger portion. The ambiance is very business formal. It's in the heart of Fulton market so plan accordingly since parking is hard to find. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars since the experience was nice and the food was really tasty.

We stopped by Proxi for happy hour on Friday for our anniversary. The ambiance and decor of this place is chic and upscale. The happy hour is only served in the lounge area and the outside patio so we did the lounge seating. We ordered two cocktails, lentil dip, adagashi tofu, bhel, tempura elotes and the gonchujong cauliflower. Everything came out so timely as it was ready. Our favorite was the cauliflower because it was flavorful and crispy. The food was worth it for the happy hour prices but don't think we would come back for the regular menu.

Great happy hour, every dish was plated beautifully and tasted amazing. Our server was very personable and helpful - this was one of my favorite spots on my trip to chicago. The interior is gorgeous and theres a cute patio as well. Super recommend the tempura elotes they were insanely delicious: crisp, flavorful, fresh! You can't go wrong here.

Cannot say enough good things about this dining experience! Decided to do the Chefs menu to get the best menu experience and would definitely recommend that to anyone dining so that you are able to experience a variety of dishesWe loved every bit of every dish from the presentation, to the texture, and most importantly the flavor. There isn't a dish we would not order again. Some highlights were the drink "No, I'm Samantha" which had great flavor complexity and the tempura elote for a tasty crunch twist on elotes. The service here was excellent. Everyone was very attentive and informative.Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

I came here for restaurant week and had a good experience overall. A breakdown of the dishes I got:Course 1:-root vegetable salad: 9.5/10. The flavors in this dish were very interesting.-samosa chaat: 7/10. It was fine, but I've definitely had dishes very similar to this one, and better samosas.Course 2:-Japanese sweet potato: 11/10--easily the best dish of the night (we all agreed). I love Asian sweet potatoes & the sauce underneath was divineee-black cod misoyaki: 6/10. The cod was well-seasoned up top but the rest was kind of bland. I've definitely had better cod.Course 3:-seafood laksa: 8.5/10. Good flavors going on and loved the assortment of seafood. However, this dish was kinda basic.Course 4:-Turkish coffee opera torte: 8/10. really yummy, but there was a salty taste that was a bit aggressive for my liking.-spiced pavlova: 7/10. good, but it sticks to your teeth like tar.-some kind of orange sherbet with a crunchy thing on top: 10:10. the most unique sherbet i've ever had!! It was very nice how they threw a bonus dessert in because we had 3 people.

It's Chicago Restaurant Week and our first stop is Proxi. We've heard so many good things about this place and what better time to try than Restaurant Week.Situated in the Fulton Market neighborhood, expect to take ride share, public transportation or if drive, expect to park in a garage or metered space. Proxi is the sister restaurant of Sepia, located next door to the south. We got the $59 prix fixe menu, which h consisted of four courses. The first two are shared family style, and then you each get to select a dish for the third course. Shared desserts rounded out the fourth. There was also a 4 glass wine pairing for $39. The pours were rather generous and our server even topped us off a few times. The samosas were my favorite of the appetizers. The cod was pretty tasty as well. I got the seafood laksa while my hubby got the pork collar. The spiced pavlova was superb!! Our server was very affable and knowledgeable about the dishes and the wines.I'd definitely come back!!
