We visited Prefecture for my partner's birthday after seeing it on social media and could not have been more impressed with the ambience, service, and food. There are a few options for ordering, but this is a wagyu-based omakase restaurant. There are two omakase options (5 or 7 courses) and a small plates a la carte menu. We decided to both do the 7-course omakase and add the salmon ceviche as a starter. Each and every course was absolutely stunning visually and in terms of taste. The A5 Primal course was both of our favorite. It is served with a trio of pickled veggies and it was recommended that we alternate bites of wagyu with pickle as a palate cleanser since the wagyu is so rich. We didn't question them and were so glad because the pickle let us enjoy each and every bite of the wagyu, which was firing on all cylinders. My second favorite was the A5 Spinalis with the inventive cured egg shavings and his was the slider. The server also provided us with recommendations for cocktail timing in order to be harmonious with the coming courses and he did not miss, potentially because he was also the bartender. Every cocktail was a perfect pairing. The raspberry sorbet was the perfect ending to the umami of the night. In terms of ambiance, it was very dark, moody, and modern. We were really impressed with the low but enjoyable level of light they were able to achieve by using only small table lights and showcasing the dishes in the center of the restaurant, which caught the table lights and and resulted in beautiful reflection of dim light. Couldn't recommend more. Get in before this restaurant ends up with a Michelin star and you can't get a reservation.

WOW WOW WOW!I did the Omakase and from the beginning to the end it was exceptional. The staff were warm and welcoming and the vibes were giving luxurious. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the city.

When I went in mid-2024 the tasting menu consisted of: San kuchi zensai (3 bite appetizer), A5 Ribeye Cap, Sashimi Moriawase, A5 NY Striploin, Crab rice, and sorbet. (I also ordered the truffle wagyu slider, I mean come on I had to try them)The omakase menu started off great with the small bites to start the appetite going, then hit hard with the A5 Ribeye Cap (literally just melts in the mouth), gives you a little breather with the sashimi... and then hits hard again with the A5 NY Striploin (my favorite). Finally the meal ended with a nice crab rice (great texture, sweet, love carbs), and a nice sorbet to cleanse the pallet. The food was perfect for someone that wants to try an omakase menu that highlights Japanese steak. The ambiance was dark and moody, perfect for a nice date night.

Really wanted to try the omoakase experience, but because I don't eat beef it didn't make sense. However the tapas were such a delight, I would still recommend this place highly. The ambiance and service matched the five star cuisine I experienced. Loved the lobster rice and kani avocado maki roll. The hamachi was so fresh and melted in your mouth. I can't wait to try the sister property, Nori Sushi, and will definitely return here.

Ok so the sushi here is AMAZING but the drinks are what makes you come back. If you're a little overwhelmed by the menu like I was, just ask the server for recommendations and you'll be glad you did! But honestly, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. The ambiance is low key and very dim so it made me feel fancy schmancyOverall, great place for an intimate setting or a posh get together!

This was our first time at Prefecture and tried their 8 course omakase. The omakase menu features a lot of wagyu so I would recommend trying their a la carte menu if you think it could be too rich. Overall we felt like $185 for this menu was very worth it; we ended up adding truffle to one of our courses (+$20 to base price). After eating we didn't feel like the meal was overly heavy or rich. We definitely plan to return to try their a la carte menu now that we've tried their omakase menu. Our server was very friendly, the restaurant has great ambience and was perfect for date night. My favorite dishes are the A5 NY strip and wagyu slider. The A5 NY strip comes with 3 different types of pickles and they were delicious. Nicely pickled and paired well with the wagyu. Overall menu was delicious and we highly recommend giving them a try!

The beef tartar will blow your nipples off. Also I ordered three of the sliders bc they were THAT good. Creative cocktails to finish it all off. The service is always amazing. Trust the waiters recommendations. The ambiance is quiet and never overly crowded or bustling. Sleek mid century modern decor.

This restaurant is AMAZING. The drinks were phenomenal. The service was great. The ambiance is very romantic. The lighting is Dim and the service is very intimate. Every single dish we had was PHENOMENAL. The A5 wagyu I cannot even describe how delicious it was. The Wagyu sliders were so juicy and tender. I've never tasted anything like that in my life. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Do walk run here.

Came to Prefecture on my wife's birthday and were happy to dine at such a fine establishment in Atlanta. Our waiter was kind and made good recommendations and he suggested to us to go to with the Omakase menu but my wife and I opted for the Tapas and Small plates dishes. We ordered 7 dishes from there and felt happy with our choice. The cocktails were excellent and the seafood and wagyu dishes were wonderful. Since we didn't go with the Omakase meal I can't speak for the quality of that but the small dishes we ordered were all wonderful and full of flavor and quality. Our waiter gave us detailed descriptions of each dish and drinks we ordered and helped bring the meal together and made for a comfortable and well narrated meal. Don't think you can go wrong with any of the food options off the tapas menu and the drinks we ordered were all excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant is high class and a feeling of luxury and a well pampered meal and great for a special occasion as the prices were a bit high but well deservedly so. We came a bit early as our reservation was before 6 and had time to take some pictures in the restaurant which was nice. With regards to parking, we self parked in a covered parking lot directly adjacent to the entrance of Prefecture and while it is not officially Prefecture's parking lot, we were told it was fine to park there.Overall, my wife and I give Prefecture 5 stars and recommend them for a special occasion and give two thumbs up.Thank you!

Rather unimpressed with the food, but the service was decent. They position the restaurant as a luxury steak omakase experience with premium cuts, but you'd never know because most of the items are overwhelmed with pungent seasoning like truffle oil and sesame oil. The tartar was premium cut, but it was drowned in so much seasoning and tasted like bulgogi marinade. Regrettable execution of the concept.
