Ham and cheese sandwich. It looks and sounds boring but it's not. It's outstanding.

I am only doing this because I am curious what changed. I used to get croissants here all the time, but the last two times they seemed old and tough. Has something changed here? If so, that sucks.

The Prager brothers are near and dear to our family. Their first business started in (and still resides) in our food innovation warehouses in Carlsbad where the brothers started as kids straight out of college toying with the idea of following their passion for baking.Ancient grains. Specialized milling. Food education or Breaducation as they put it. I love all of their products including their nuttiest, breads full of crunch to their Butter cookies which their staff nicknamed "crack cookies" because they are so addicting. Our kids and family come back for these "buttery cookies" every time they are in town. They have both incorporated their Bakery success and first love(s): Music and Food Science...1. There is Rock n roll live music venue every week at the bakery sites where the brothers play music in and invite bands to perform at2. Breaducation: regular guests and honorary professors of ancient grain education at Ivy League Universities

Yearning for more? 1/2The Spicy Italian sandwich was pretty good, although most of the flavor came from the sauce it had rather than the meats or cheeses. The bread itself was okay. Expenses 1/1:Sandwich came out to about 10 bucks which was fair for the quality. Location 1/1:Located in a small parking lot and has a sister business that also sells pizza next door, though I wasn't a huge fan. Staff was polite and they accept debit and apple pay. The bakery was kept clean on our visit. Possibility of a Future Visit & Recommendation: 0/1I thought the sandwich was decent, but it didn't intrigue me enough to return to try something else off the menu. I personally wouldn't choose to return, though I may still come back with someone else as they enjoy the ham and cheese croissant.

Okayyyyyy Prager, this is a little slice of heaven! I'm a big Encinitas gal as I used to attend church in downtown Encinitas. I would always stop by their shop for fresh croissants or a breakfast sandwich whenever I had the chance. But living in Oceanside has changed my route a bit. I've been meaning to try their Carlsbad location for ages and today, dreams came true! There are two separate little cafes to order from (right next door to each other)...one focuses mainly on pizza and grab & go items. The other is the true bakery with the classic lineup of breads, pastries, and premade fresh sandwiches. We ordered two slices: the Florentine and sausage mushroom (each for $5) and they were scrumptious. You can also buy pastry flour, bagged coffee, a variety of drinks to go, and even some soups! The salad looks delicious as well. Coming back for a toasted bagel and cream cheese!Stop by and enjoy the gorgeous patio seating, friendly employees, quick service, and lovely view!

Prager Bros is a North County staple. Get your fresh bread and pastries here! This morning I grabbed a chocolate croissant. The chocolate they use is deeply rich and gives you a good taste of chocolate when you bite into it. The flaky croissant is softer than others I've tried, and I enjoy it this way too so this croissant is ranked high in the chocolate croissant Olympics. This was $4.

This place is definitely hidden in an industrial park. Thank goodness for gps or I would have never found it. Is was around 10 on a Saturday morning and already there was a line out the door. I was probably 16th. Luckily the staff is extremely efficient and we moved through very quickly. I stopped by to get a few giant pretzels, and sone cookies and sandwiches for the padre game that afternoon. The walnut chocolate chip cookies were excellent and the ham and cheese sandwich and spicy Italian were stand outs. I had a delicious feast of ball park food that was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. I will be back. I want to try EVERYTHING !

Obviously, this is not a secret spot.... but a long line at 9:30am Saturday morning is a tip off. Fresh baked bread, pastries, cookies, coffee and fresh French type sandwiches are worth the wait. Cute small patio and tons of parking is also nice. The pizza side is pretty new, so that review to come. Fun new spot for me! Lets eat!!!

I've been back several times and the girls that work there still have an edgey attitude. My husband and I call them "princesses" lol they give off an I'm better than you sort of vibe. And are not very helpful when you have a question about a product and make you feel like you are bothering them. I don't know many of the breads and would love it if they were more willing to share what they know. But all of the products are so good! And we love the location. We will keep coming back.

What?! I don't have to wait for Saturday to go to the farmers market to get some of their goodies? We found this by accident and I know they had been here awhile. My neighbor mentioned they did their baking here in Carlsbad. Before I go on, I just have to say you must try the Morning Buns! And I love their chocolate croissants too. They have quite a few selections, including loaves of bread! They offer some cold drinks as well. It's a small area once you walk in. You enter in one door and exit another. You will smell the aroma of sweet baking going on. If you get lucky you may see a full case of goodies! I enjoy the blueberry scones and pretzels. Oh and don't miss out on the pizza's they offer next door!Service is a hit and miss.

Came here after a hike based on all the good reviews. I will need to try the other things but this sandwich is hella bomb...mostly due to the crunchy/soft bread. I go to a bakery called crème in Claremont and it rivals her ham and buerre sandwich which is saying something. Simple and excellent.
