Hands down the highlight of my recent return to Chicagoland. Never really explored pozole much when I lived there. Just blown away by this rendition. It was cold out last week and wanted a soup/stew for a late lunch. Researched this spot based on various online reviews and boy was I glad I chose it. I chose the red (was encouraged to by the nice gal at the counter) over the green and white pozoles. Ordered horchata as well which was one of the best I've ever had. Milky, full of flavor, and not watery. This pozole was incredible. The pork inside was plentiful and tender and the hominy was nice and light/fluffy. Tons of flavor throughout and nothing overly salty. The cabbage, radish, avocado, and lime fixings on the side really make this dish special and brightens everything up. The chicharron also was fantastic. SO much food for the price. Huge bowl! Crazy. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best local spots. The pastor is my favorite, though I have yet to be disappointed by anything on this menu. Great service as well!

Ordered for pick up. I live in the neighborhood and found it convenient to pick up and eat at home, but they have indoor dining. From what I saw, staff was wearing masks and complying with COVID regulations. I ordered the red pozole that came with tostadas, chicharron, cabbage, onion, avocado and limón on the side. My husband got the steak burrito and horchata. The food was great and ready at the time they said.

This is our second time here and honestly they have such great pozole. One size bowl for $11 and they fill it to the rim with meat, caldo and maíz (hominy) excuse my spanglish. They also supply all the fixings that go in the pozole. Chips and salsa on the house too.Great pozole, nice service and very reasonable prices for the amount you get, we both got containers to take the rest of our pozole to go! Highly recommend!!

Sadly, dissatisfied with the food, service and in disbelief of the ratings on this spot. *ambience background music playing. And muted tvs on.*Jamaica fresh water was not fresh at all; had a spoiled aftertaste; when brought up to the older server lady, she said "it can't be, I just changed it yesterday" umm, okayyyy..... still. Change my drink. *Pozole had a thick consistency; (recalentado consistency IYKYK) was very heavy on the red sauce. Pictures provided in the page for this place are deceiving. One thing I can truly appreciate from my visit is FRESH cut limes. DASSSS IT... *Servers were not attentive. Did not ask if anything was needed after food was serviced at table.. young girl was nice & smiled but urgently needs more training & not from the older lady. Older lady was unpleasant, had an attitude voice tone and very serious. Smiling won't hurt anyone. And what was more annoying is Not being attentive to the customers, AT ALL. Customer service is the key to success! But so is good tasting food. Unfortunately I did not find that here. Star Rating disclaimer*** No Stars if I could.

Giving 4 stars only because all I had was the white pozole. Definitely going back for that and to try other items on the menu as well

If I could give this place no stars I would between them and Grubhub I don't know how they stay in business. I made an order online and it said it would be to my house 30-45 minutes after an hour I tried to call the place and the lady kept acting like she didn't know what I was saying and the hung up on me twice. After getting hung up on twice the app said my food arrived it never came. Then I call Grubhub and they ask if I wanted them to make the food and deliver in 27minutes no thank you just giveMe my money back no need to go to this place ever again. Needless to say never using Grubhub or eating at pozoleria iguala ever!

Imo the best pozoleria in the Humboldt Park/Logan Square area, but that's because I prefer "Estilo Guerrero" which has a thicker broth, almost with a molé-like consistency. Flavorful and aromatic. There are "picaditas" as well which are basically sopes, served with pepita seeds on the side. Much better than a certain other pozoleria in the area.
