Yomi Sushi

I love going to Yomi for sushi on the waterfront! It's consistently good quality - do not expect a lot of fried rolls covered in mayo. The sushi here is fresh and the owners are so kind and wonderful to chat with. The location makes the experience feel quaint and relaxing, like you stepped out of downtown. I'll continue going back again and again.

The food here is amazing! Everything was prepared right as you ordered so it came out hot and fresh! Not much of a seafood person, but their seafood did not have a fishy taste at all! Seems like this was a family owned restaurant as there weren't many workers. The food still came out fast and delicious. Our server, Diane, was so good to us! She was very attentive and made sure we always had what we needed!Lastly, the location is amazing. On the waterfront! Will definitely be coming back more often!

The PERFECT no-frills sushi spot in this area !! Been in Portland since last summer and my partner & I were thrilled to have finally found our sushi spot ~*Solid & simple menu *Delicious & not overly stuffed rolls *Nailed the environment & ambiance *Exceptional service that made you feel like family, which was just lovely since it's family owned ! We were well taken care of & well fed & we can't wait to come back !

It was ok, but just ok. I called in my order, picked it up, and ate at work...so didn't get to experience their service or ambience.

Delicious sushi with a nice view of the river! This place is small on the inside, but is clean and the staff is very attentive! My partner and I went on a Thursday evening around 6 and it was pretty slow. The waitress quickly took our order and the sushi was brought to us within 5-10 minutes. There are many deep fried and non-raw options on the menu, which is great for people who don't like sushi with raw fish (like me). Overall, the rolls were decently priced and good quality! The crunchy California roll is full of flavor but is better when dipped in soy sauce. The volcano roll was my favorite and would come back just for this roll alone. I recommend this place if you want a variety of sushi options for a good price!

Such a small cute little place. When we went it was almost closing in like 30 minutes. We are quickly here. It seems like it's owned by a older couple. Super cute. We were the only ones eating there at the time. That was super nice and quite. Everything tastes homemade here. Like mom made it. It's good, it's a cozy little place outside of the waterfront. I would come here again and it's affordable.

In a city filled with great restaurants, this spot stands tall with them all! The owners are husband and wife. The name Yomi is a combination of their names, which is adorable! The owners were so sweet and accommodating to our children.The restaurant is on the waterfront. So, it's a beautiful location with plenty of parking options and surrounding bars/stores to enjoy after eating.The menu is currently sushi and sashimi focused. The prices are reasonable and the fish is extremely fresh. The chef was so precise with his cuts, it was amazing to watch him prepare our meal!Bonus: they have a sake called Yomi (no relation to the restaurant), which is as fabulous as the restaurant!

Sushi and wine were really good. You get quite a bit of sushi for the price. The restaurant is not that big and service was fast and good. Friendly people. I would go back if in town
