This place deserves 10/10 for all the effort they went to for me and my allergies. I was diagnosed with a super complicated allergy this year which has made it impossible for me to eat out anymore. This sort of is a non option when I'm traveling and a place like this was worth the risk. The waiter listened to the details of my allergy very carefully and thoughtfully then marked up a menu with the chefs for me with the safest options and ingredient substitution possibilities for me. They took me so seriously and made me feel safe asking for what I needed. This place is also gorgeous. The back patio was such a vibe on a summer evening. The food is DIVINE. It's a great place for groups who might have mixed eating restrictions and they obviously understand the importance of freshness. Every dish we had clearly had a lot of thought in it and the execution was superb. All the textures were spot on. My favorite dish was the corn! So yum. Loved the wine I had too. All their wines are sourced from really unique and special places. Definitely worth getting a glass. The owner should be proud of the staff they have and the menu they have created.

Delicious food! The Cedar Plank Salmon was our favorite - it was cooked perfectly. Our second favorite was Labneh with Roasted Grapes. Don't skip out on dessert - the burnt basque cheesecake was delicious. There's outdoor seating that is outfitted with heated lamps (for cold days). When we ate out for dinner there were a few gnats flying around.

Tucked away in the charming neighborhood of Multnomah Village, the Mediterranean Smokehouse is a hidden gem that delivers an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere wraps you in a sense of comfort, setting the stage for what's to come. The menu is a delightful fusion of traditional Mediterranean flavors with the rich, smoky essence of a classic smokehouse. It's seasonal so you can come back time and time again without disappointment. Every dish is crafted with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that elevate the flavors to new heights. The service is top-notch, with a staff that is both knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Whether you're a longtime fan of Mediterranean cuisine or trying it for the first time, at Yalla there is not doubt you find something you will love.

Wow! The food here is just incredible. Came in for happy hour and ended up ordering off the main menu as everything sounded great. Corn ribs, so buttery, salty and sweet, add their house hot sauce to everything. Hummus with burnt ends (I could skip the meat) was creamy and dreamy. The pita is life-changing! Like the best pita I've ever had. Roasted cauliflower, stunned and the sauce, wow! Corn bread, also life-changing, though a bit more like a corn cake than bread, very sweet, could be a dessert. Peppers were such a big portion, I couldn't believe it. Garden pasta was good, but, I couldn't tell that the noodles were anything special, though house-made, but also great. Fries, a little miss. Salad, great! The Zaatar is wonderful. The unfortunate reason for the 3 stars was the service, and I want to be clear, I'm sure just an off night, but from the moment we were greeted, super un-friendly (hostess), and our server was less than interested and we ended up in a unfortunate misunderstanding, which she didn't handle professionally and put an end and stress to our otherwise great experience. Other staff were awesome! I would try this place again, of course because of the food, and I hope to be able to update this to 5 stars!

Every dish was a 10 out of 10. Excellent humus and pita with an earthy, hearth oven cooked flavor with the perfect blend of a chewy yet soft texture. The cornbread with honey was almost desert like decadent. The cedar plank salmon was perfectly cooked and topped with lightly spicy salsa. The fire roasted peaches was an excellent accompaniment to this late summer dinner.Well worth the price.Service-wise, efficient and very friendly. Best of all, while we were dinning an unusual summer downpour left us stranded without a coat or umbrella with our car a ten minute walk away, but our server let me borrow her personal umbrella to retrieve our car saving me from a soaking. Obviously this was above and beyond thoughtful. Thank you so much! We'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Food was absolutely delicious. We came here for the first time for Valentine's Day, and we're looking forward to trying their short rib, but it was out by the time we got seated.....pretty bummed about that, but will be back to try it next time!We ended up getting a nice cocktail, the radicchio salad (10/10!), the burn ends hummus (10/10!), and the special ravioli with black truffles (flavor was 10/10, portion was 6/10). The ravioli was divine, but it only came with 7pieces, for $37.....12 pieces would be more sufficient for a main dish. Waitresses dress pretty casual for a nicer restaurant, didn't bother me, but it was something I noticed. Service was friendly and prompt. Will be back!

Quite literally our favorite restaurant in all of Portland and the Portland area for date nights. This place does not miss. Incredible food, great ambiance. Literally have not had a bad dish here. Even the freakin' salad is one of the best I've ever had. They clearly have high standards for the chefs they hire because the quality is consistently top notch. Servers are great as well.Side note -- I'm half middle eastern and the hummus and pita here are a rare ones that actually meet my expectations. Lol. Cornbread fantastic. Chicken fantastic. Falafels are great. I mean, I literally don't have a single complaint. And that's rare for me. Ok, if I haaaad to vocalize one downside it's that it is spendy (hence date nights only) but so long as they keep up the all around quality... big thumbs up from me.
