Much better than the other nearby Jamaican place who I won't mention. They have a lot of options here, of which I've tried like 5 or so and there's still a few things left I want to try. Clean casual cantina vibes decorated w/ lots of Jamaican color. Order at the counter. - Oxtail: one of the best I've had, so fatty juicy and a hearty ass portion.- Curry goat: pretty good. Bonier but still a good amount of meat and cooked pretty tender w/ a mild brown curry.- Ackee & saltfish: tasty kind of omelette hash scramble dish but hardly any saltfish, like just a few tiny scraps sprinkled throughout.- Jerk pork: heaping pile of bbq style pork belly in a tasty jerk sauce, very fatty and tender but just a tad salty.- Yaad style wings: just normal fried wings pretty meh. I'd pass on these and get the jerk wings instead. All the entrees come w/ rice with beans, some tasty pickled veggies & usually plaintains. Prices are high but they don't skimp on the portions. Still may come back to try the curry shrimp and whole fried fish dishes.

Yes, yes, and yes! Run, don't walk if you've got a hankering for some Jamaican food. Now I haven't had too much exposure to different Jamaican restaurants but this is definitely on my radar to revisit if I'm ever in town again. The oxtail was superb. Meat was fall off the bone tender and had so much flavor. I don't normally eat that much but I polished off the plate. The jerk chicken was moist and flavorful. The pairing of the slaw with the plantains just brought the dish full circle. The beef patty was also something worth mentioning. It had just the right amount of kick to make your tastebuds tingle. I would def order again.

As reviews have mentioned, this place isn't cheap...but that won't stop me from returning! First time having Jamaican food, so I can't comment on authenticity, but it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the oxtail dish which was fall off the bone tender and full of flavor. Fiancé got the jerk chicken which was amazing and a bit spicy, which we expected. Both of us got the rice and beans, and as someone not a fan of either, they were incredible. So full of spices and flavor and just yum. We also opted for one of each of the patties (beef and jerk chicken) and while they both had different pastry, they were amazing...I preferred the yellow patty which I think was the jerk chicken. Extra side of pineapple ginger sauce (I could seriously drink that) and jerk sauce (so good). Also got a large slice of delectable chocolate cake and the wicked sorrel (very fruit punch/ginger/floral) and super refreshing. Inside was super cute and well decorated, very colorful and clean! The young guy with locs helped me (I didn't catch his name) but he was friendly, chatty and made for fun conversation. Everything to-go was well packaged and after a 20% tip, our total was $104...expensive, yes...but this was 2 meals for my fiancé and 3 for me. Definitely worth it and I'll be back next for the snapper and the goat curry! So good.

I would first like to say the meat pie was delicious. The lady was nice and service was ok. This is a mom and pop shop not a fine dining experience so it's expected but still very warm. I came because I really wanted some good oxtails and wanted to support black owned business. I would just say no to the oxtail unless you like the more bbq style oxtail. I personally came for a spicy more traditional oxtail and this was sweet bbq oxtails in my opinion! I seen there were other options that I seen other people order so maybe I just got the wrong item. Overall I rate this 2.5 just because I spent over $50 on food I just did not enjoy.

10/10 Everything. My sister and I both got the oxtail and it was perfectly cooked, perfect portions, perfect flavor. The oxtail, plantains, veggies, and rice and beans were amazing and the young gentlemen working were very kind and funny. The place is also really cute and cozy inside with good music. Looking forward to going back very soon.

It doesn't matter what time I call for My food from this place, it's NEVER READY. I purposely come 15 later than the time that day and still have to sit in this lame ass restaurant for another 20 mins. They never offer anything complimentary, charge You full price and never apologize. As a regular customer I'm going to have to find another place cause this definitely isn't worth the wait. These people are rude and dismissive. Last time ever giving these people My money. April S
