Portland has so many good pizza options we took to the streets to try places that were not our usual. What We Had:- Half/Half Maui Wowie & Pesto Chicken Ranch- BreadsticksPros:- Detroit pizza is a great pizza brand- Employee was helpful in helping us pick- Pizza had a good chew to it- Good toppings- Extra breadsticks!Cons:- Take out only- Pizza seemed heavier than it needed to be (less airy)Overall:I would say on its own it's a good pizza. The Maui wowie has some heat to it. A bit more than I like but nothing to ding there. I think it was just fine given the other options. If I were on Alberta and wanted a slice this would be a good spot. I'll stay with my usuals for now and continue exploring.

Slices are ginormous! Which helps with the price per slice. If you love Detroit style pizza, this is your place. Doughy, thick, and nicely crisped edges. Considering the slices are on the pricey side, I would venture out and try something other than a classic cheese or pepperoni.

Overall a very good Detroit style pizza that if you are looking for something a little different then this is a a must try. We Uber eats this place for our New Year's Eve dinner. A little different style with the sauce being the last thing placed on the pizza. The pizza dough definitely had some garlic butter vibes to it that I was not disappointed in. The pizza was very tasty. A little pricy but two pizza fed four people and a baby and we still had some left overs. This pizza is definitely a little heavier then most wood fired pizza. Overall would definitely try again.

Yummy pizza. I've tried many flavor combos. I think their best is just basic cheese or pepperoni. I was not a fan of the bbq chicken or the maui zowie. The bbq sauce is too sweet and the sausage is too bland. The cheese baked into the crust is so yummy tho. I would get the pepperoni anytime I was craving pizza and couldn't get to McMinnville.

I am extremely disappointed with myself that I did not write a review for this place sooner. First off, Portland has some very excellent places to choose from for Detroit style pizza...and I would put Wild Child against any of them. Ok, their basic pepperoni is, of course, a favorite. It's just solid. The first time I got one of these babies, I won't lie, I was disappointed by the size of the pizza as I initially thought it looked small. However, each piece is so dense and so delicious! You'll be full after 1 or 2 slices. 2nd win. Their entire menu is good but watch for their specials. They can get pretty creative and pretty crazy! Take advantage of their 50/50 pizzas so you can try a couple different flavors at once! Their Supreme is good, their Harissa is good, and their Maui Wowie is one of my faves especially if you like some kick to your za! Lastly. Why the 5th star? I reserve 5 stars for the best and that includes customer service. Me and a friend ordered a pizza for delivery with some garlic bread sticks. Mistakes happen and we didn't get the sticks. We gave them a call and were just going to ask for a refund on the sticks. Instead, they apologized profusely and offered to deliver the sticks to us. We didn't need them and politely refused at which point they refunded our ENTIRE order. These folks are great and they got a lifetime customer out of me. They're always so nice and friendly and their pizza is GOOD. Give this place a try if you haven't yet!

Pretty solid Detroit style pizza, tho not my favorite. The crust and sauce and quality toppings were pretty fine, tho I wish they had some more creative options; they're got the standard pepperoni/cheese/supreme, then a harissa one and a rotating special. We went w/ a half&half of supreme and harissa for about $35. It was a filling pizza for two w/ a couple breakfast slices left over, tho I'm used to feeding 3 ppl at that price point (w/ the leftover slices as well of course.) So all in all I'd say decent but I prefer Ranch or Via Chicago right down the street.

It's really really good if you like thick pizza & they have delicious side sauces too. Detroit-style is my new fave style I think. I liked the more traditional veggie pie over the Harissa one, it was a little too sweet for my pizza preference.

With WIld Child Pizza, you don't need Pizza Week! You can have delicious pizza here each and every week. I really love "the Harissa" it is an amazing combination of flavors, and there isn't any PIzza Creation like that in Portland, that I've found. It has butternut squash, rose harissa, kale, leeks and mozzarella. I have been a vegetarian since June 2001, and it is one of my pet peeves, when the vegetarian option is "Vegetarian pizza" with olives, tomatoes, green bell peppers etc. But, I opt for different ingredients and flavors, and this one is so good!My ultimate secret- favorite part of the ensemble is the crust! The outside, corner pieces have this cheese baked onto the crust. It is so satisfying! And again, I haven't found anything else similar to this in Portland, and it is "Detroit Style" pizza, so plan on eating with a fork and knife on a plate! It is still manageable with your bare hands though! All of the times I have been there, I have ordered online first for whole pizzas, and it has worked really well. I just walk up to the window and it is ready for me. And, all their staff are. really friendly and nice. I was born in the early '80's so I like their design and ambiance. It is a fun reminder of the good ol' days! But, as far as sitting in a parlour space, this is not really the place for you. It is located in a prime area of Alberta, and they do have a hallway/sitting area but no tables with pitchers and video games. But, the pizza take-away brings those memories to life! Definitely check this place out!

This is what I love about oregon, pizza everywhere. So this place is not too far away from my dad's house so I decided to come in here for a slice. So the crust was probably my favorite part, everything else was pretty good. The toppings slid right off, but that is because it just got out of the oven and I'm a pretty impatient person when it comes to Pizza lol. Anyways I recommend just ordering a whole pizza LOL.

The pizza is way below average for the growing Portland pizza community. It's all deep dish and taste is very reminiscent of Pizza Hut with a super buttery crust. There is also no place to sit as sits a pizza window. The staff is also not the most friendly. The place is super over hyped!
