Really really loved this intimate, speakeasy style bar/lounge. Speakeasy's are my faves and this one is definitely on the top of my list. The service was exceptional, music was such a vibe, and the libations were expertly crafted. We were seated in a very private area, like a small room. This could've sat 5 people but it was given to us 2. It was nice for us to take pics together and vibe out to the music. Very much enjoyed our time. Highly recommend making a reservation before hand. This is not a place to skip while in Portland.

Located downstairs of the very bustling and loud Loyal Legion beer hall, from the very moment you go downstairs, you transition into a bar that gives Alice in Wonderland vibes, starting off with the rabbit. We walked in on a Saturday night and were able to get the last 2 seats at the bar, and I figured it was not as crazy busy as some of the more popular bars since you can make reservations on Resy and they had slots available for the rest of the night. However, this likely solely will be because it is an up and coming bar, so I would not be surprised if this bar gains popularity over time. I am a visual drinker so we both got two of the standouts on the menu aesthetically - the Kanpai and Strawberry Letter. The Kanpai has lime foam which stands out compared to other foam-on-top drinks aka egg white based cocktails as there is actually nice flavor and slight tartness to it. The Strawberry Letter is fairly sweet and has a smaller layer of foam on top. Each drink has its own garnish and both are very refreshing and easy to drink. If you do sit in the lounge, there are statues and other trinkets around to build up the theme

An experience for Portlanders who are craving something new! After hearing about Voysey for years, I finally had the chance to visit with friends a few weeks ago. I was stunned by how perfect the minimalist entrance was through Loyal Legion, with a few red neon lights beckoning our way. Once downstairs, the ambiance was both sinister and warm, with staff eager to make the experience fun.Reservations are common here, so, if you're planning to bring a large group here - make reservations! We were lucky to snag a table for eight people, but, it was tight. Voysey could easily add a few more tables and chairs into the inner area, with the outer area being the waiting and greeter zone. The menu is the perfect size for me, with a few drinks and great food options. The cheese plate can be amended to be simple or broad, so bring your appetite and friends. I ordered the roe and trout dish, and would enjoy any of the drinks anytime. This will definitely be a regular spot for me once the heat dome returns and I need an escape from patios. My one criticism is that staff did not inform our group about the auto gratuity, so we tipped an extra 20% on top of what was already included in the bill. Several of us work in the service industry, so we were honestly surprised by this since our best practice is to always let folks know to avoid bitter tastes like this. Aside from overpaying for service, we had a great time!

One thing about me and my hubby both is that we are a sucker for speakeasies and if we know one exists, you can bet your last dollar we are going there .Voysey is tucked away in the basement of loyal legion . As you enter you are greeted with red lights ,a neat mural and beaded curtains .There was live music going on . The space is small but I feel that the seating was ample or perhaps its just because they weren't very crowded at the moment . I got the Lucky Peach which was vodka based with Aperol. The jasmine lime and curry leaf gave such an unusual flavor combo and the peach made the whole drink very refreshing . The hubby on the other hand trusted the bartender to make something of their choice and they knocked it out of the park . I also ordered the miso butter and bread. In theory it was such a simple snack but the butter was so rich / full of umami and the bread very fresh . I was so intrigued and our kindest host sneaked me a quick recipe on a piece of paper . I love it when the staff makes you feel welcomed and at ease and the people at Voysey do that with a smile .We had other plans so weren't able to try more drinks but I am pretty sure we will return .

Came here for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I would recommend making reservations as it can get packed. The drinks were delicious in a moody, dark, speakeasy setting. Our bartenders were amazing and attentive. I would definitely come back here!

I've been to Voysey several times now and it's always a great experience! I love the dark moody basement vibe, super cute speakeasy. The drinks are always so good and nothing that I could have created myself. I like to order the bartenders choice, makes for a fun surprise!

What can I say about Voysey? This speakeasy cocktail bar is located on the lower level of Loyal Legion. I came to Portland to visit my cousins and they brought me here for a nice lil pre-dinner drink. If you're looking for a spot with some (very) light snackies and drinks, Voysey is your spot! The ambiance and intimate feel of this place made me feel like I was in on a secret- a part of the cool kids club. The decor was on point and the drinks matched the vibe! TBH, I can't remember which drinks we got but I do remember they were all good. We also got some snacks- castelvetrano olives, chili lime mango & veggies, and white bean dip with flatbread and veggies. Now these are REALLY snacks, so don't expect to fill up on them! We were a bit tempted to buy more but each snack was okay and not too worth a second serving. Although I wasn't crazy about the food, I do give five stars for the ambiance and service!

Super cute spot. I had never been there before but my friend told me there was a speakeasy under loyal legion so we had to check it out. It is lovely, spaced well. Nice decor. The bartenders and hostess were super friendly. The cocktails were tasty. Cocktail prices were a bit high but you're paying for the ambiance. I would go back for a chill date or a special occasion.

Just another trendy Portland spot. Of the four of us in our group, nobody was overwhelmed by the drinks or the service. They have more food offerings than the Beaverton Loyal Legion speakeasy, Flora, which was nice. Unfortunately, we didn't order any so I can't comment on it. Unlikely to return
