Voicebox Karaoke - SE Portland

If you're on the fence - JUST GO! This was my first time ever doing karaoke and I think I may be addicted. The facility is so clean and well thought out. They have this karaoke thing down to a science. They plan to split the bill ahead of time so everyone has their own tab from the get-go. Private rooms of various sizes are available. You can control the lights and temperature in the room, and the karaoke controls and microphones are intuitive and easy to use. Staff are all incredibly friendly and prompt. Food is much better than you'd expect from a place like this - order the pretzel and get extra cheese! The drinks are on point as well. All in all our group of 8 had a blast and we will definitely be back!

This place is epic! Came here with a small group of friends. Drinks were great! Food was okay, nothing spectacular. The chicken sliders were a favorite. Service was awesome, super helpful staff. If you are on the fence, just book the room. You need 2 hours minimum! We will definitely be back again.

Came here for a party and had a great time. Prices were reasonable (actually, much less than we expected), ambiance was nice and the facility was clean, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was tasty (mmmmm tater tots!) and everyone had a great time. We'd definitely come back again.

My wife and I visiting portland and walking around little communities came across The Voicebox. Decided to enter to get info. The manager was very friendly and helpful and gave us a tour . We were very impressed. Not singers, however my daughter is. We decided, what a great present. Two days later we reserved a booth ordered drinks and food . Had a blast. Not a thing we would have done, if it wasn't for the great reception we received / first impression. Memories made that evening PRICELESS. Doing something out of our comfort zone, who knew. Next time in Portland this is a must . Maybe a new tradition.

I would give this place a 4 star review because we had a really fun time. The food was great, the drinks were tasty, and the song selection was great. We had a great time! However, I did have a big issue here. I scheduled a surprise party for my wife in a PRIVATE suit, as they all are, with her best friends. One of them has a baby. They would not allow the baby in the facility, even though we had our own private room, and the baby had headphones to help block out sound. (The sound wouldn't have been an issue anyway) So the husband and wife took shifts sitting in the car on a cold rainy night with the baby since they wouldn't allow her in. Nobody told me when scheduling this, that babies weren't allowed. Quite frankly I don't understand the issues considering we were in a private room. She wasn't a toddler that would be running all over the place. Both parents were there too. I was extremely dissatisfied with this, and probably won't go there again for lack of communication, and really not making it right. Had I known about this issue we would have had our party at a different establishment. Spent $400 dollars for the space for 2.5 hours.

Celebrated my birthday here with friends such an amazing fun experience. I love how it's more of a private room that you can be with people you're comfortable with. Had many song choices and yummy drinks as well!

Private rooms, disco lighting, friendly staff, great vibes with a good selection of music. Reserve ahead of time! Use your smartphone to create the playlist. A good selection of cocktails and food (more like bar food such as tots and mozzarella sticks) to choose from. Come a little early to find street parking. The only complaint I have is the bathroom. It's unique in a way that the faucet is located above the toilet and there are signs telling people to cover the seat prior to flushing otherwise the water will be sploshed all over the toilet seat. At night, one can expect many of the people to be intoxicated in some way so I often find toilet seats wet. There are no toilet covers available either.

Come here and sing your heart out! My spouse and I come in from time to time as a a way to blow off some steam. Come alone or with a crowd! The drink menu is solid and it looks like they have some yummy snacks I haven't tried yet.

Great service! Lots of mainstream songs and I love the private karaoke rooms. Food is pretty much whatever you would find at Costco in the freezer section. So don't expect anything fancy. Drinks are good and I really love this place soooo much. I do wish food was a bit better but I get it. Oh and you prices are good on Sundays and happy hour.
