The place is a little strange I guess, the people are very quiet, the service is good though, maybe it's a cultural thing. The food is very good not amazing or anything but worth the money and very tasty. I would go back for sure, the karage is great as well as the octopus balls which taste nothing like what they sound like, it's sort of something between a sugar cake and a hush puppy. Everything on the menu is tasty give it a shot for sure.

Average prices, good portion sizes. Average flavor. Very little variety. Good service. Had two types of ramen, tofu had zero flavor and pork very fatty and inedible. The worst part is the restaurant smells of oil. I currently smell like oil and we were only there 30 minutes. My eyes sting. Definitely one and done for us. Nothing witty going back for.

Decided to try this place out one day with a few friends, it's not that bad! The ramen we got were just a tad bit salty, but that's adjustable. The prices are great. Definitely affordable. The chicken karage was the best thing there! It's fresh and it comes in a big portion. Shareable! The service was good, nothing stood out to me. The place is very open and dim.

Doesn't look much from the outside. It is tucked into the corner of a small shopping area. Parking was pretty packed so I was lucky to find a spot right up front. It's a standard, quaint restaurant. Booths are lined in the side and tables in the center. The service was quick and streamlined. I was quite impressed by the black garlic tonkotsu. Nice portion of pork. Good meat to fat ratio. Egg was cooked to perfection. The broth was super rich and flavorful with the right amount of fat. The spicy paste I got on the side was a lovely addition that gave it just enough kick. I cannot verify how the noodles were since I am currently on keto and gave them all the my kids.Would definitely return again the future. It might look like a generic fast food ramen joint, but do not be fooled because the food is tastier and heartier than most of its competitors.

Quiet, impeccable service, great value for some of the best ramen around and the best izakaya fare in the Portland metro, located in a nondescript strip mall as all great eateries should be. Go here.

Surprisingly good ramen that is not generic. A bit expensive. Recommend: Garlic Oil Ramen, Takoyaki

I came here specifically because I saw that dipping noodles was on the menu. I haven't seen this anywhere since I was in Japan as part of an exchange program in high school, so I had to come!First off, this place is kind of unassuming, but what I've found is that unassuming places usually have the best food at the best prices. It's in a strip mall/shopping complex, with parking out front and a bunch of different restaurants in the complex. The restaurant is narrow, but really deep. You actually sit at booths that line the kitchen, and you can hear the chefs cooking.I'll admit, I was a bit nervous about the recipe that they were going to use for the dipping noodles. I've never heard of "bonito dashi" and had to look it up. (And yeah, I know that trip to Japan really served my Japanese skills well.) I'll admit I'm not a super big fan of seafood or fish, so I told the server if it was possible to avoid the bonito in my order. The server was beyond polite and accommodating, and after a quick conversation, we decided I'd probably like the broth from the black garlic tonkatsu. She went the extra mile and served the black garlic sauce on the side as a just in case. After a quick taste test, I dumped all that black garlic into my broth! And the noodles were unbelievable - it definitely wasn't the same dish that I had in Japan, where the noodles were served cold and with a tiny dish of dipping sauce. This was a full-sized bowl of noodles with a full-sized bowl of broth. You took noodles from one bowl, dipped them fully in the broth, and ate them. My friend got the Umami bowl. The chicken karaage in it looked delicious!Hands down, I will be coming here again when I'm next in the area!

The chicken karaage I highly recommend over their ramen menu. It was saucy and the chicken didn't taste dry but there is a lot of rice. The ramen was a miss because of the bland taste. I know it wasn't authentic ramen noodles, but this is the first time I complain about the noodles after trying lots of other ramen places. Takoyaki are big and filling. I would come back for the chicken karaage. Service is attentive and nice.
