bad service. age dashi tofu was cold and in a lukewarm dashi. when i returned the tofu the server basically scoffed at me, and j had to reiterate that a fried tofu dish is served hot. server was disinterested, lazy and weird. he stood at the register looking bored and told another customer how to open a bottle of water, to which she couldn't understand the house glass bottle and he still just stood there trying to verbalize a simple task that he could have helped with . the food is decent but this type of shitty service makes me irate. hire servers who are actually helpful and genuine .

*To go order*Honestly my new favorite place to go to for ramen! the Spicy Seafood ramen is highly recommended if you love seafood! My mouth is watering just from typing this hahah. We also ordered karage and chicken skewers, my partner says it's the best karage that he's had so far The inside is small and limited space but there is outside seating!! They're a bit busy but worth the wait, go check it out!

I don't have much of a ramen yen, but my oldest son really does! One of his two favorites is Tomo. His favorite is the beef ramen. I don't know if that has a tradition in Japan, but does that matter? Not when it comes to taste - this is so hot that not only my oldest son, but even the youngest, who doesn't looove ramen, loves Tomo's! It is nice because my 14 year old feels comfortable eating alone in the restaurant. I've had nothing but nice servers and helpful interactions. The only downside is when you have hungry kids and have to watch someone fumble through the mandatory computer ordering system.

Great little ramen spot!! Completely self service, you order at the machine. Food came out really quickly and the ramen was delicious. It's not very spacious. We had 5 people so we had to sit at the bar, a little hard for conversations. Overall a good spot if you are craving ramen alone or just with a friend!!

I knew from the touch screen order pad that I was in for a treat at Tomo Ramen! You order at a touchscreen as you walk in, get your ticket, and seat yourself in the plethora of chairs in the dark, red-lantern strewn main area. Drink menus are at the tables and seats!I got an absolutely delish bowl of ramen! I loved the spinach, the pork was super tender and cut thick, and the quail eggs were so fun! The sides of ginger, garlic, and chili oil were also great to experiment with different bites. Super wonderful place!

Very yummy ramen. The space is a little tight and can get busy during dinner but the food is worth the wait! The broth was very flavorful and the the tempura was so crunchy and perfectly cooked. Definitely worth a try if you're in the Hawthorne area!

A more authentic ramen experience with ordering done at a kiosk like some ramen houses in Japan. Service is quiet and efficient much like a ramen house in Japan. Food is generous in portion and doesn't disappoint in the flavor.

This place was fantastic, at first I thought the prices were a little high but when I saw what game out I was blown away. My seafood ramen came out in an actual cast iron cauldron 6 inches deep and the size of a dinner plate. It was FILLED with all kinds of seafood in larger amounts than I have ever received anywhere for $20. I mean clams, several different types of mussels, a whole softshell crab, a giant shrimp, a crawfish, several large large pieces of calamari, several quail eggs, 5 sheets of nori, I mean there was so much in there I can't even remember all of it, by the time I was done eating seafood I had a massive bowl of ramen noodles and various vegetables remaining and a cauldron of broth. It was so good and so much food. 100 percent worth the price. My wife's chicken ramen literally had 4 whole chicken thighs in it, absolutely ridiculous quantities, we were gonna do other stuff afterwards but we had to go home and sit down for a while it was that much food. Without a doubt, we'll be back.

Never been to Japan, Tomo Ramen felt like what I imagine the ramen shops are like there. Not recommended for parties larger than 3, this space is very cozy and efficient. The tonkotsu ramen is massive and comes with ginger, garlic and chili to adjust flavor to your liking. The quail eggs and the pork with perfectly seared lines were the highlights. I was happy to have leftovers. And the karaage chicken was so dang delicious, too!The playlist while dining was early 90s top 100; which made this unique dining experience feel pretty relaxed.

This cozy spot with limited seating was an absolute delight. You order immediately at the kiosk then find your seats, could be a communal table or at the bar seats that line the entire space. Portions are massive and so flavorful. Alcohol is ordered at a separate counter. Be patient, quality takes time and this space is busy for good reason. Cannot wait to return to try everything on their menu!
